A fascinating mixture of fact and fiction, this novel gives a new perspective, not only into the conflict, but also the coming together, between Australian and Tasmanian Aboriginals and the early European explorers and colonizers of Australia.

An exciting and very interesting story about the early settlers and seal hunters on Kangeroo Island and in Tasmania, and a Dutch ship thought to have been shipwrecked in the area in the early 1700s. Filled with larger than life characters (some based on real people), the novel paints a vivid and violent picture of Australia's early colonial days. The wild west on the high seas!
