Decent enough

Technically well written with decent characters. Its a slice of life story but for me it was psychologically a little dark. The author tried really hard to make the MCs emotionally broken to offset how OP they were. The male and female MCs have contra dictionary personalities. Both seem to be strong in power but emotionally repressed. The male MC has incel tendencies ( scared of physical intimacy) and sexually repressed while being able to talk and interact like a mature male looking for a relationship. The female MC is sexually promiscuous while whiny about not being a good mother and always wanting to run away. Both talk about deep emotional scars because they failed to save someone that they were not responsible to save and there was no way for them to save. The emotional weakness was difficult to suspend disbelief based on their age and life experience. Give it a read, you might like it.

not very good

Boring. Stultified. Typical of the genre.

Who honestly wants to read about someone who has no challenges? Especially with the dullest most cardboard cutout of a character out there?

A must read

I’m constantly reading LitRPGs, and this is truly something special. From the title and cover, you might expect your typical OP main character who beds every FMC by the halfway point, or goes on a monologue about himself in the very first chapter and you don’t even make it to chapter two.

But what you actually get is a rich, beautifully written story full of characters who feel real, with their own goals and flaws. There’s genuine character development throughout, wrapped in a story about true friendship, finding yourself, and figuring out what you really want from life.

The closing line of this book literally left me in tears. If you haven’t read it, you’re missing out on something beautiful.

Amazing world and characters

MELFs book 1 was such a joy to read! The characters all felt real with their own goals and personalities. The slow pacing of the book, low stakes, and slice of life feel made the read very relaxing. I enjoyed the few action/conflict scenes, they left me satisfying and excited for more without taking away from the relaxing atmosphere. I really enjoyed the slow but honest romance between the characters. The way they slowly opened their hearts to each other felt natural and real.

Thanks for this amazing book, I can't wait till the next installment!!

Simple and wonderful

This is a well executed slice of life story with great characters and a fantastic story. It's books like these that prove you don't need a super convoluted story or system to stand out, just a well written book. I look forward to the next one.
