Pucking My Biggest Fan by Leighton Grace was a fun, steamy hockey romance! I loved the combination of the age-gap romance, secret identity, and single-dad trope. The chemistry between the characters was undeniable, and their attraction made this an easy book to get lost in. The hero was especially enjoyable, a confident silver fox with a softer side that made him even more appealing. I also loved seeing the single-dad side of his character and how that added emotional depth beyond the romance. The secret-identity element kept things interesting and added plenty of tension and anticipation as the story unfolded. If you enjoy hockey romances with older heroes, spicy chemistry, age-gap relationships, and a little forbidden romance, this one is definitely worth picking up. Overall, Pucking My Biggest Fan was a quick, entertaining, and steamy read that delivered exactly what I look for in a fun contemporary romance.

surprising plot twist

This is the second book I’ve read by Leighton Grace and they just keep getting better and better. Gus is a widower who’s struggling with everything he’s going through. Loneliness finally gets him and he goes on line and connects with June They become chat friends but June has strict rules about her personal life. She wears a mask to hide her identity. I’m not going to spoil what happens but it’s good. His little boy Teddy is such a card and lightens the story where his daughter is older is struggling and doesn’t trust people. I couldn’t stop reading wanting to know what happens next. There are both sad and happy moments and they make you think about them realizing life can be really hard but with the right people in your life things will get better and I think Leighton Grace shows you that in this story 5⭐️’s. Read this you won’t be disappointed

Gus and June's Story

The fourth book in the series is my favorite. The series consists of 4 standalone books about older HOF type NHL players and the younger women they meet and fall for.
I don't really understand the title as June knows nothing about hockey and Gus is retired.
Gus Vaughn is a 49 year old widower with a 9 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. He desperately needs a competent nanny and finds one in June Ashby.
Gus is retired but is still active as an owner and the face of his NHL team.
June has had a hard life and is a survivor, working privately for a sex site to pay off $40,000 in her dead mother's medical bills.
This is a charming story of a grieving family and a lonely woman who find each other and heal. It is one if the author's better books.

DO you want to know what romance book just kept me occupied reading it all day and into the early dawn? It is this romance book right here by Leighton. Pucking My Biggest Fan has the absolute most amazing storyline with some steamy hot romance that makes it extremely entertaining and hard to stop reading.
I can't say which parts of the book I loved the best because I LOVED everything from the cover to the HEA ending.
Leighton really wrote this storyline with perfection, and it definitely deserves nothing but 5/5 stars.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This story has it all. She loses her job and has a two choices, go back to her secret past or take a nanny position. She chooses the nanny position but it comes with its own chaos as she has a secret that could ruin everything. The humor in this is so incredibly good. It needs to be to smooth out the heaviness. You will definitely need your tissues for this one.
Teddy’s response on page 178 to an event earlier in the chapter reduced me to a sobbing mess. Well done. Absolutely loved this one.

While June may have kept her secret from Gus for awhile, she does tell him everything. She meant no harm. Unfortunately someone else does. June leaves the love she had found with Gus and the kids to protect them. I liked how Gus handled it and I'm glad June came back for good.

The story of Gus and June holds your attention from the start; it has a good storyline and characters you can feel and empathize with on the journey they take together. There is some drama, suspense, and the feelings they have for each other, even though June works for him as a nanny. Their story was a pleasure to read and is highly recommended!
