Beautifully written

Once I heard that Monta was releasing her debut novel, I knew I had to get my hands on it. As a fellow bookworm, I couldn't wait to dive in.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the book was beautifully written and completely exceeded my expectations. I couldn't put it down—it was utterly addictive.
I loved the connection between Alise and Mateo. There were definitely moments when I wanted to give Alise a good shake while reading! As for Mateo, he was an absolute dream. At one point my heart really broke for him, and I found myself rooting for him every step of the way... until he did something that made me want to smack some sense into him too!
I really enjoyed how Mateo was portrayed: a confident, powerful alpha in the boardroom, yet gentle, caring, and completely himself with the love of his life. That contrast made him such a compelling character.
