Double Dare

Rate this book
School can a be a battleground... especially if you're different. Bullying takes many forms — the sugar-coated as well as the standover style.

The school camp should have been fun for everyone. Except that Katie is still smarting about the 'Wizard of Oz' audition, and has hatched a plot to get rid of her arch enemy 'Pudge'. Except that Frog is on the run from the class tough guy, Ponga. Except that just about everyone seems to hate the class brain, Michael. Except that Su and David have only just about discovered one another, but no one will leave them alone.

Double Dare is told in flashback by four main characters — the class clown, Frog, the class 'princess', Katie, the new girl, Su, and the sensitive and perceptive David. It is funny, dramatic and thought-provoking. It challenges us all to think about the need to care for others.
