Power has a price, and temptation always demands payment.
As old rivalries deepen and dangerous ambitions threaten to reshape the future of an entire kingdom, Asharin finds herself caught between duty, power, and the choices that could change everything.
In a world where loyalty is fragile, obsession can be deadly, and even the strongest mind can be compromised, every temptation carries consequences.
The Crown's Temptation is the third book in The Ashen Crown Series, a dark, high-heat romantasy featuring political intrigue, obsessive devotion, morally complex characters, and dangerous choices.
The Crown’s Temptation had my emotions ALL over the place. I was happy, angry, frustrated, worried, and stressed to the point that I almost threw my Nook more than once. 😂
First things first, I am still and always will be TEAM COLSAR. 👑
Asharin has come so far, and I love seeing the woman she is becoming, but GIRL… she had me stressed more than a few times in this book. After everything she has been through, I just want to see her finally get the happiness she deserves.
And apparently I have another unpopular opinion because not every man in Asharin’s life needs to think he deserves her! 😂 She can have friendships and people who care about her without everyone deciding they should be the one standing beside her. My Team Colsar heart was struggling!
What surprised me most was how much some of my feelings toward certain characters changed. People I never expected to warm up to had me looking at them differently, while others still have a LONG way to go before they’re getting any forgiveness from me.
And then there are a couple of characters who still had me wanting to reach straight into my Nook. 😡😂
There were moments that made me laugh, moments that made me angry, and moments where I genuinely had no idea what was coming next. Every time I thought my emotions could settle down, something else happened.
But THAT ENDING?!
WHAT. THE. HELL?!
And while we’re at it, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED DURING THOSE THREE DAYS?! 👀
Oath, I HAVE QUESTIONS. 😂
How am I supposed to just sit here and WAIT for the next book after being left like THAT?!
Five stars for the emotional damage alone. 😂😭
Still Team Colsar. Still protective of Asharin. And officially going crazy waiting for the next book. 👑
Thank you so much, Oath Sterling, for the advanced copy of The Crown’s Temptation and the opportunity to read and review it early! ❤️👑
This book had me completely hooked! and made me almost throw my iPad a couple of times. 😂
Three brothers. One crown. One woman caught right in the middle of a dangerous game of power, obsession, and temptation. And let me tell you, this book delivers on every single one of those promises.
Asharin is still such a compelling FMC. She’s caught between duty, desire, and choices that could change the fate of an entire kingdom, while the tension surrounding the three brothers keeps getting more intense. The political intrigue, shifting loyalties, morally gray characters, and obsessive devotion had me turning pages because I needed to know who was going to betray whom next.
This was the perfect blend of dark romantasy, high heat, power struggles, obsession, and dangerous choices. The atmosphere felt deliciously dark, and the tension was practically dripping off the pages.
As the third book in the Ashen Crown Series, this one takes the stakes even higher and gives us plenty of twists, emotional turmoil, and moments that had me screaming at the pages.
If you love dark romantasy, morally gray men, obsessive relationships, political intrigue, forbidden temptation, and a heroine caught between powerful brothers, add this series to your TBR immediately.
Five stars because apparently I enjoy watching fictional kingdoms implode while being thoroughly entertained.
Book 3 of the ashen crown Series the corwns temptation is definitely a great book. Its rare that a series with multiple books to still be as exciting and nerve wracking as this series is. I wanted to thrown my phone across the room in the first few chapters because of the emotions you feel. But.... but.. I didnt and glad I finished the book. The tale picks up greatly from where book 2 left off. This one gives you alot more story into the other characters. You'll want to cry ( I did), you'll laugh. You'll feel the betrayal, the longing, the joy and the sorrow. Oath Sterling has truly outdone herself with this one. The cliffhanger at the end has you wanting book 4 immediately. Im so glad I was lucky enough to find this author and her series. If you like magic, betrayal, obsession, and everything in between; this book is definitely for you. I definitely recommend this book and series.
Thank you to the author for the advance readers copy
This series continues to just leave me thinking WTF hahaha. With each book the backstory continue to unfold and secrets are being revealed. With each story I continue to really like and really dislike certain characters. I feel disgust by some of the characters, I’m infuriated by others, and cheering for some. The intricate magic system is starting to make more sense. We have seen a lot of character growth with Asharin and Colsar and their relationship. The trust they are developing and creating is what makes them the perfect couple in all the possible combinations. The ending is just like the other 2, leaving us frustrated on a good cliffhanger.
Arc review. This book I would give 4.5⭐️ but the series as a whole so far is 5⭐️. There's a lot going on in this book its definitely setting up for something more. The little clues left along the way keep you wondering the whole time. Highly recommend if you like something a bit different. Obsessed Brothers, feeders and Shifters with a bit of unhinged behaviour as an entree. Book 1 and 2 are absolutely stunning and if book 4 continue on this run it will be one of my top series. I personally grow bored with series very quickly however the author has done an amazing job keeping me entertained.
This book is basically a dark fantasy romance where everyone's either trying to poison you, save you, fuck you, or steal your magic amulet. There is loyalty, sacrifice, revenge, and the struggle for identity where they are explored through Asharin's experiences and the actions of those around her. Through constant threats, betrayals, and the gradual revelation of secrets about Asharin's past the true nature of the magic is at play. The plot is definately ambitious and engaging, promising a rich and multifaceted fantasy experience with a strong focus on character development amidst a backdrop of epic conflict.
Just finished and my mind is blown! I need physical copies of all three on my shelves immediately. Solving the puzzles Oath Sterling left for us is officially my new hyperfixation. This might be the first series I full on annotate.
Unhinged, dark, funny, and total chaotic fun. I need the next book yesterday!
Crown’s Temptation was amazing! Oath knows how to bring her characters to life while also making them just a tad bit unhinged. This book answered so many questions I had and then gave me a bunch more! Thank you @oathsterling for sharing your beautiful stories with us! If you love obsessed characters, love triangles, and a bit of a mystery The Ashen Crown series is for you!!!
