Justin Anderson is recovering from a nasty divorce. An ex-wife who never has enough support income and precious little time with his daughter fill most of his days. When he spies an attractive, self-sufficient older woman, he is intrigued. But can he convince her not all guys are animals who need to be locked up?
With a gentle push from their bartender friend, the two face more intrigue than either thought possible in such a small town. However, each terror filled moment proves to provide the glue that brings them together.
C.L. Kraemer has been a gypsy all her life. From her military child beginnings to her might-not-get-this-chance-again attitude after she left home, she's seen most of the continental United States as well as Hawaii and Alaska. She hopes to travel the world but is content to stay close to her kids and grandkids in the Northwest.
When not chasing down dragons or faeries, she is riding her Harley Davidson Softtail [sometimes behind the hubby], editing or copyediting for a couple publishing houses.
She is also an avid sewer, not the flush the toilet kind but with a machine and material kind. Her most recent challenge has been to create a winter coat with reversible cape.
100 of 235 pages into the book and I haven't seen much interaction between the supposed main characters (*), much less a budding romance, just an interested male character and a standoffish female character.
(*) "supposed" main characters because I couldn't really tell - we get a viewpoint from every character in the story. That was confusing and dragging.
Old Enough is a sweet romance that combines mystery with romance. Justin and Diane work together to solve a small town mystery while trying not to fall in love. I found this book to be a page turner, one I didn't want to put down until I could finish it. I can truly recommend this book to all those who want to read a romance with a complete plot line.
