BREAKAWAY BET is an emotional and spicy pro hockey standalone romance with a virgin heroine and an accidental Vegas wedding to her brother’s sworn enemy from Amazon Top Ten Bestselling Author Lisa Suzanne.
Waking up with a ring on my finger and a professional hockey player in my bed was not on my Vegas itinerary. Especially since that hockey player is Vegas Vengeance superstar Cash Maddox, my brother’s sworn enemy.
But maybe he’s exactly the kind of reckless choice I need.
I’m the youngest Bradley…sheltered, overprotected, and, yes, still a virgin. He’s an experienced bad boy a decade older than me. But a white dress and too much tequila lead us straight to a wedding chapel I don’t remember visiting.
When the hangover wears off, I realize this is my chance to break away from my family’s constant hovering. We agree to two simple pretend we’re happily married, and don’t let feelings get involved.
Except Cash makes pretending a little too easy. Behind his cocky smirk is a fiercely protective, thoughtful man who inspires me to take risks. Every heated glance and stolen touch leaves me aching for him to be my first.
I was only supposed to stay married to him. I wasn’t supposed to fall for him.
But the more I hear Cash call me his wife, the more I want it to be real.
Lisa Suzanne is an Amazon Top Ten Bestselling author of swoon-worthy superstar heroes, emotional roller coasters, and all the angst. She resides in Arizona with her husband and two kids. When she's not chasing her kids, she can be found working on her latest romance book or watching reruns of Friends.
A Vegas wedding, a hockey player, and a bet that was NEVER going to end well.
Ivy and Cash had me hooked with their chemistry, banter, and all the chaos that comes with being a Bradley. Watching their fake marriage turn into something real was so much fun, and the family drama made everything even better!
Cash was my favourite! Beneath that cocky hockey-player attitude is a protective, caring man, and watching him fall for Ivy was everything. Ivy was just as wonderful, finding her independence and proving she’s so much more than the baby of the family. Their chemistry was incredible, but it was the feelings sneaking up on them that really got me!
The angst when Cash’s original intentions come to light had me feeling all the things, and seeing him fight for Ivy made the emotional payoff even sweeter. I’m genuinely sad to say goodbye to the Bradleys, but what a way to wrap up their stories!
The epilogue was the cherry on top, and I finished this one with the biggest smile on my face!

A sincere thank you to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR for the ARC! 🥰📚
I’m so grateful for the early read. As always, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own. ✨
I rcvd a copy of this book in beta to read, all thoughts are my own.
Okay, I have to start by saying I have begged Lisa for a hockey book, so when I she told me this one was finally happening, I was SO excited. And honestly? It did not disappoint! I love the Vegas Aces world (and the adjacent worlds!), but hockey will always have my heart. I loved this book so much. We have THE PERFECT storm of spice, emotion and complicated family dynamics.
We are at the end of the Bradley Legacy, and I can confidently say that Ivy Bradley is my favorite Bradley. She is young but fierce, small but mighty, and she knows EXACTLY what she doesn't want - and that's to be lost in the crushing sea of the success of her six older siblings. Being the baby of the family is tough enough, but the baby of seven siblings? Even worse! They all treat her like a little kid, and she's sick of it. And rightly so.
But from the time she spots hockey player Cash at a club, she knows exactly what she does want. An escape. And when Cash sets his eyes on Ivy? He sees a way to torture her brother. And maybe use it to his advantage.
The Vegas marriage between the sheltered heroine and the bad boy hockey player (who isn't a fan of her family OR her famous brothers) was such a fun setup, and I was hooked pretty quickly. Standard marriage of convenience, right? Not where the Bradleys are concerned! Once they are together, Ivy and Cash find themselves falling. But things are rarely that easy.
Cash was definitely my favorite part. He comes across as cocky and arrogant at first, but there’s so much more to him underneath that attitude. I loved seeing his protective and softer side come out, especially as their fake marriage starts turning into something neither of them expected. However, what Ivy doesn't know might hurt her, and when Cash's original intentions show up to the chat, it throws their growing feelings into chaos. What Bradley love story is complete without it? haha
The chemistry between them was *fans self* There were plenty of steamy moments, but I also really liked the emotional side of their story. Watching Ivy gain confidence and start making choices for herself made her really easy to root for.
While I am sad this series has come to an end, I'm excited for what Lisa has in store for us next! The epilogue was especially touching, and I admit to getting a little bit teary-eyed reading about the Big Bradley HEA. What a great way to end this series!
“I want to choose you, and even if it breaks me in the end, then it was worth it for the time we had.”
The perfect ending to this series! What starts as a bet, and a surefire recipe for disaster that’s bound to come back and bite them later, transforms into a genuine, deep connection between Cash and Ivy. This book has the perfect mix of fun, emotions, and spice!
Ivy is the Bradley baby: sheltered, overprotected, a virgin, and eager to get out into the world and experience everything life has to offer. Cash, on the other hand, is an experienced bad boy, much older than Ivy, but also very reserved. Behind that cocky smirk lies a fiercely protective, thoughtful man who takes care of everything and everyone around him, including her.
Their chemistry and sexual tension were SO well done! I especially loved how Cash continuously supported Ivy, encouraging her to take risks, step outside her comfort zone, and experience life to the fullest. Their connection was about so much more than the spice, and watching their relationship develop was such a treat.
The family dynamics were complex, chaotic, and absolutely wonderful! I also loved the extra epilogue, which was the perfect cherry on top. Honestly, this is hands down my favorite book in the series.
Special shout-out to the narrators, who did an amazing job bringing this story to life in the audiobook. They added so much depth to the dialogue and emotions while turning up the heat on all those spicy scenes. 🎧🔥
Thank you to Valentine PR for the advanced e-copy and ALC.
I loved this book! I knew I was going to like Ivys story but i really couldn’t put this one down. Even though it’s a drunken Vegas marriage - Cash Maddox is the bomb boyfriend/husband. He shows up again and again and at the end when he’s showing up for her and her family? Put that damn bet down - he’s so in love. I’m sad this series is ending but excited to be in Vegas and see what happens with these hockey players!
Thank you to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR for this ARC opportunity. This was my first time reading Lisa books and this was such a fun read, even when it got you in the feelings. Even though this is book 7 in The Bradley Legacy series, I feel like this could be read as a standalone.
This story follows Ivy, the baby of the Bradley siblings, she's just moved to Vegas and is ready to have fun, figure out who she is and if she can find a hot man to give her v- card to even better. Celebrating her 22nd birthday she runs into none other than Cash, a playboy hockey player but her brother Dex happens to hate him and pretty much ends up dragging Ivy away before either of them can make a move on each other.
West seeing how immediately down bad Cash was for Ivy offers him a bet, $100,000 if he can get Ivy to sleep with him. Convicing himself he only wants to see Ivy to get the money he pretty much pretends he's going to be launching a tequila brand and needs Ivy to help him do it. Ivy meanwhile is jumping at the idea of getting to work with Cash and is happy to know she's not the only feeling the attraction. Deciding to hit the club together for "work", Cash and Ivy can't keep their hands off each other and while the tequila is flowing, West comes up with another bet $200,000 if he can convince Ivy to marry him that night. Before they know it, they wake up hungover and married.
Needless to say Ivy's family isn't happy to find out about the marriage accusing her of acting like a reckless child and Cash is dealing with an upset agent, publicist trying to figure out how to deal with the media speculation. Deciding it would benefit them both to stay marries, Cash for his image and Ivy for her wish to stop being seeing as a child. The more time they spend together, the more the lines blur and when they finally sleep together they can't deny it's fake anymore. But when Ivy finds out about the bet, can she trust that Cash feelings for her are real or will it be too broken to fix! Find out on 10/22!
Ivy - Ivy constantly whining that her siblings treated her like a child was infuriating, especially because she acted like a child throughout the whole book. The big deal around her virginity and her asking Maddox for lessons was just off-putting, especially because she's acting like a bratty teenager for the entirety of the story.
Maddox- Maddox isn't the worst guy ever to be written, but when his mind went back to loosing his sponsors and the morality clauses, or the way he forgave his teammate when he kept the texts "as insurance"...Really takes away from him being repentent. Him blaming every Bradley for him being in one of their illegal casinos was also fucking weird, he never took responsibility for being there. He just blames one of Ivy's brothers and hates the whole family, but it's not like they made him go to that casino. So it feels like he knew that casino wasn't on the up and up, he took a risk and nearly got caught. That's on him
The siblings- I don't understand the hockey player hate. Some of them play professional sports and some of them are married to professional sports players. Baseball and football specifically. But they hate hockey players for reasons not explained. They all hate Maddox until they don't. After Ivy storms out and runs to Chicago, one of her brothers shows up and even though they've barely acknowledged each other the whole book, he wants Maddox to fix things with Ivy. Then Ivy's sister gets in on it even though she also hated Maddox on principle until she didn't.
Breakaway Bet is the perfect story to end the Bradley Legacy series. The story of Ivy and Cash is full of chemistry from the very beginning, from the first look, from the first touch. Cash comes out as the confident hockey player who only cares about winning, but there is a lot more under the façade. He is a box full of surprises and Ivy is the one with the privilege to open it and find all he hides from the outside world. Ivy is seen as the baby of the family, the immature sister. She wants to be perceived as an adult capable of making her own decisions and carving her own path and Cash encourages her to follow up on her dreams. When these two get together, sparks fly and they quickly fall for each other. Breakaway Bet is a marriage of convenience romance with many twists and turns, plenty of family drama, locker room banter and spicy hot moments. Lisa Suzanne gives us the perfect balance between insecurities and strong characters, emotional moments and lighhearted ones. steamy times and sweet caring scenes, the urge to protect and to set free. A five-star read to finish a five-star series. Thank you for the ARC.
Seven books, seven couples, and one family that has slowly worked its way into my heart. The Bradley Legacy has been a series where, with every story, I’ve felt more connected to this family, sharing their heartbreaks, their struggles, and those beautiful moments when love finally leads them to their HEA. So, bringing this series to a close with Breakaway Bet was always going to be a big ask. But Lisa Suzanne had one final Bradley story to tell, and she absolutely delivered!
This time, it’s the youngest Bradley, Ivy, and Cash, the superstar centre and captain of the Vegas Vengeance, who take centre stage.
Cash is a hockey star who doesn’t do relationships. Between the ice, his best friend and teammate, and their ridiculous bets and messing around, he’s more than happy keeping life uncomplicated. But there’s another side to Cash, one buried so deep beneath his carefree exterior that it takes someone special to bring it to the surface. And Ivy might just be that person.
As the youngest Bradley, Ivy has spent her life feeling like her siblings still see her as the baby of the family. But when her eyes meet Cash’s across a club, the sparks are undeniable. There’s an instant attraction neither can ignore, although Cash’s own history with the Bradleys adds another complication to a connection that is already far from straightforward.
A drunken night, an unexpected marriage, and two people who never planned to fall for each other set the stage for an emotional rollercoaster. What starts with sizzling chemistry and a situation neither of them expected soon becomes something much deeper. Because beneath the banter, the attraction, and all those bets lies a man who has spent years keeping parts of himself hidden and a woman who wants to be seen as more than just the baby of the family.
And when everything comes crashing down, this is where the story really gets under your skin. Can Cash face the things he has buried and become the man Ivy needs? Or will the walls he has built around himself cost him the one person who could change everything?
Lisa Suzanne brings us a romance packed with heat, heart, unexpected twists, and those emotional moments that make you want to reach through the pages and give these characters a hug. Ivy and Cash’s journey has its own identity, but it’s the emotional depth beneath their relationship that makes this story so memorable.
Why You’ll Want to Read It ❤️
🏒 A superstar hockey captain with a hidden vulnerable side.
💋 Sparks, banter, and chemistry that refuses to be ignored.
💍 A drunken night that changes everything.
❤️ An emotional journey from keeping people at arm’s length to fighting for love.
✨ One final Bradley couple to steal your heart.
The WOB65 Verdict
There is something bittersweet about finishing a series you’ve grown so attached to, and Breakaway Bet gave me exactly the ending I hoped for. Ivy and Cash get their moment, their journey delivers the emotion, and Lisa Suzanne reminds us that sometimes the people who seem to have everything figured out are the ones who need love the most.
But what makes this final book even more special is everything that came before it. Across seven books, we’ve watched the Bradley family grow, fall in love, face heartbreak, and find their happily ever afters. Each couple has added another layer to a family that has felt more familiar with every story.
I’m not ready to say goodbye to the Bradleys, but if this is the end of their journey, what a way to finish! Seven books, seven love stories, and a family that will stay with me long after the final page. ❤️🏒

Another one bites the dust in Vegas! I’m always a fan of Vegas based novels. I lived in Vegas for 30 years so my nostalgia is always lit up. And yes, people do go to Vegas, get drunk and then end up married 😂. Vegas Vengeance hockey captain Cash Maddox (MMC) is known for being a bit of a playboy.. he and a teammate make a bet involving who could put a ring on a woman first. Little did Cash know, circumstances were about to shift in a BIG WAY. Ivy Bradley (FMC) is the youngest of the Bradley siblings! She’s living with her sister in Vegas and working as her sister’s assistant. At a club, she eyes Cash Maddox. Cash approaches and is quickly run off by Ivy’s brother. That doesn’t stop them on a different occasion. Several drinks later, these two are married. Ivy moves in with Cash. She has always had a mission to be taken seriously and not treated like the baby of the family. Playing house turns in to so much more… so quickly. She still has to find out about the bet… was any of this real for Cash? Was she always just a bet?
You know Lisa Suzanne gives you spice and everything nice! I’m a fan of the Bradley Legacy Series. I’m locked in for life!
OMG! These Bradley Family books are always an amazing read and reading Ivy's 5 star story was no different. I should like to say thank you for my ARC of this book before going further. I love the Bradley Family and they have certainly worked their way into my heart. Just as I loved all the other books in the series, I absolutely loved Ivy's story. It was really extremely cute and I kept reading and reading until real life got in my way. It's amazing going through the series of books how many lives were touched by the Bradley family. Cash and Ivy was a fantastic read. The chemistry between Ivy and Cash sizzled from the first word to the last. As well as being Ivy's story this book ended the series in a beautiful way and we learned the truth behind all the illegal doings. So many grandchildren by the end and more on the way. I didn't love Cash's two best friends but they were definitely needed to make the story work. I could say so much more about this fabulous book but I don't like telling the story in my reviews or giving away spoilers. I will end by saying that fans of Lisa Suzanne will love this book. Fans of the Bradley Family will adore this book and for those who have never read a Lisa Suzanne book, I believe they could read it, love it and then go back to the other 6. I wonder which family Lisa is now going to create and if they will capture my heart in the same way that the Bradleys did. I am excited and cannot wait to see.
Breakaway Bet had me glued to the pages from beginning to end. 🏒❤️ This was such a fun, emotional, and spicy hockey romance!
I loved Ivy and Cash together! Their chemistry was undeniable from the very beginning, and watching their accidental Vegas wedding turn into something real was so much fun. The spice was SO GOOD, and I loved seeing their relationship develop into something deeper than either of them expected.
I also loved watching Ivy grow as a person and start standing up for what she wanted. Seeing their marriage turn into something more, along with their cute nicknames and the way they grew both individually and as a couple, made me love their story even more. 💕
🎧 Gideon Frost and Daphne Fields absolutely nailed the narration! They brought the characters to life and made this such a fun listening experience. I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook, but I think I loved reading the book even more!
This was such an amazing way to wrap up The Bradley Legacy series. I'm honestly so sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I'm happy with the way this story brought everything to a close. ❤️
Absolutely loved this one and definitely recommend it!
Thank you, Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR, for the ARC/ALC in exchange for an honest review! 💚
🏒💔 THE BRADLEY LEGACY HAD NO BUSINESS DESTROYING ME LIKE THIS. My heart is in shambles. Cash Maddox, you’re forgiven. Barely… I tandem read this one with the audiobook, and EXPERIENCING ALL THAT SEXUAL TENSION in both formats?! 😳 Cash Maddox marries Ivy Bradley over a bet, and the kicker? This man is genuinely, devastatingly IN LOVE with her the entire time! When Ivy discovers the truth, she smashes something she built with her own hands, walks away, and blocks his number. “I’m not just another thing you get to win.” And Cash’s grovel? He shows up on her dad’s sentencing day just to hold her hand, then tattoos her birthday and their wedding date on his body. When he explains it would hurt less than losing her, I officially lost the ability to function. SIR. PLEASE! Then the Legacy reveal?! Their father’s secrets, the gambling ring, and the heartbreaking truth behind his choices had me emotionally compromised. The legacy was never about the company. It was about family. After following this family through the entire series, this ending hit DIFFERENT. The angst, redemption, romance, and found family made it such a satisfying conclusion.
I can't believe we are at the end of the Bradley Legacy series already, and I'm so glad that Ivy's story was the final book. Her story with Cash in Breakaway Bet was the perfect way to end the series. As we know, Ivy is not like the rest of her siblings, as evidenced by how she has been treated most of her life. So once Cash truly got to know Ivy as Ivy, not just as a Bradley, he was toast. He obviously went about everything the wrong way, but sometimes people take the wrong path to get exactly where they need to be. And how perfect is it that Cash goes from being an only child to having six (I guess twelve with spouses) siblings-in-law...and how once the dust settled down after the bet was revealed, how the two people who were sooooo against Cash and Ivy being together, were the ones who were showing up for them, knowing how miserable they were apart.
And truly...the epilogue. I think that has to be one of my favorites. I won't say any more than that...but it truly was the best way possible to wrap up this series.
It is sad to see the Bradley Family Series come to an end! But what a great way to end the series with Ivy's story! She is the youngest of the Bradley Clan and she is sick and tired of having her sister and brothers trying to run her life for her. She is fresh out of college and ready to take on the world on her own terms! While working in Vegas as her sister's assistant she meet Las Vegas Vengeance super star Cash Maddox. After too much tequila and a bet with his hockey buddies Cash and Ivy get married in a Wedding Chapel ceremony that neither of them remember the next day. They decide to stay together for one year and then reassess. Cash is trying to start his own tequila brand and Ivy is busy with work and her Dad's impending sentencing for his illegal gambling operation. Things are going great until Ivy discovers the bet between Cash and his hockey buddies . Both Cash and Ivy are forced to confront their feelings for one and another and decide if they want to stay married.
It was nice to have closure on the Bradley Family and I am eagerly anticipating Lisa's next book series which I hope will be available soon.
I just the opportunity to not only arc read this one, but I received an alc as well. The narrators did an amazing job bringing Cash and Ivy together. I absolutely love an oopsie moment in Vegas, it’s Shay’s so much fun. And the way the narrators brought these two to life had me obsessed. She was the baby of the family and salt was treated as such by her brothers. Over protective, overbearing, but thriving they were doing right by her. So one could only imagine how things were going to go when they found out she married a guy they hated… but I loved that Ivy was able to see Cash outside of who he was portrayed to be. He was actually a pretty amazing guy. And he gave Ivy room to do her own thing. Be her own person without others bearing down on her. These two were so good for one another. They connected in an amazing way. And in between their growing feelings, their spice was getting spicy. I had a really great time reading this and listening to this. Just an amazing story.
The last book in this amazing series follows the youngest sibling, Ivy, and Nash. Someone she met by coincidence but who knows her family very well. A very unpleasant reason brings Nash and Ivy together in the first place. But time and forced Proximity have both getting to know each other. And slowly something between them changes into real feelings. But Nash still has this one big secret. And that will hurt Ivy. Ivy, who wants to be chosen for her and chosen first. When things explode Nash wants to convince her of the truth of his feelings. Only too late. But coming to his senses and with a little push, Nash goes after the woman who completely stole his heart. Will Ivy let him explain and forgive him? And mostly believe him? It is worth a try. And in the end Nash gains more than just his woman back. A real and big family. Sweet, beautiful and a perfect conclusion for this family and their stories.
🎧audio review🎧 To say I was excited Lisa was diving into hockey romance was an understatement. While there wasn’t much hockey play there was still hot hockey players with intense stares and sweet words. This is Ivy’s story and she is the last Bradley to find her happily ever after. Hers wasn’t conventional but what romance story ever is. Ivy’s story was the best way to end this series.
I love the way Lisa weaves stories with a little angst, romance and family vibes. Ivy and Cash’s story was filled with electric chemistry, a drunken wedding and beautiful journey of love and strength. I love how Ivy stood for what she wanted and stopped being the pushover baby of the family. I loved that Cash learned that love is worth the risk.
Gideon Frost and Daphne Fields were perfect for these tow characters. Both were new to me narrators but brough all the emotion and heart to Cash and Ivy. We felt what they felt. Such a great narration that I devoured this story.
I can’t believe this is the end of the Bradley legacy but damn that epilogue and ending was perfection. Lisa knew what she was doing and man I’m sad this journey is ending but can’t wait for the next one.
This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Cash and Ivy’s story. Ivy is the sheltered, overprotected, and youngest of the seven Bradly siblings, while Cash is a pro hockey player, and she is his enemy’s little sister. Too much tequila in Vegas and Cash and Ivy wake up married. This is a well written easy to read story, revealing in dual POV’s, with family, friendships, emotions, secrets, marriage of convenience, high stakes bet, workplace romance, forced proximity, an age gap, revelation, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining and unpredictable hockey romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Each time I think that I have found my favorite characters of a series the next one comes along and takes the cake. I was not sure how I would feel about Cash right away knowing him through the other books in this series and how this book started out with the foolish bet. Once we got further into the story I definitely changed my view on him. Once Ivy came into the picture I was so happy to see Cash change up his ways and let her in. It was great to see the whole Bradley family come together as well as there were some major rough patches they all had to work through. I enjoyed seeing Ivy finally decide to do what was best for her. I am sad this was the end of the Legacy series but I can't wait to see what awaits us next.
Hockey romance with a vegas wedding AND a marriage of convenience? Honestly can't go wrong with any of those tropes! This book was cute, sweet, and a lil spicy. I loved the banter between West and Kellan! Gideon Frost & Daphne Fields did an excellent job with the audiobook. If you love drama and flirty banter definitely check this one out! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I think this might be my favorite book in the series! I loved Cash’s and Ivy’s story! Lisa just writes her characters so well. They are funny, have great depth to them and you can’t help but root for them.
I loved the tension we had in this book and when the match lit, it burned hot!
Thank you for letting me be on the ARC team for this book! I’ve just loved this series as a whole ❤️
🏒 A Reckless Bet, a Vegas Wedding, and a Love Neither Saw Coming ❤️🔥 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars | 🌶️🌶️ 2 Chili Peppers
Of all the ways to prove you're no longer the baby of the family, waking up married to your brother's sworn enemy might be the most dramatic! 😂💍
Breakaway Bet was such a fun, emotional, and wonderfully spicy way to wrap up The Bradley Legacy series! Lisa Suzanne gave us fantastic chemistry, plenty of Bradley family drama, and a couple whose unexpected marriage turned into something neither of them saw coming.
Ivy Bradley is the youngest of seven siblings, and she's officially had enough of being treated like a child. Her family loves her fiercely, but their constant hovering has left her desperate to make her own decisions and figure out who she is outside the Bradley name.
And honestly, I couldn't blame her!
I loved Ivy's determination to experience life on her own terms. She might be sheltered and inexperienced, but she's also strong-willed, capable, and ready to take some chances.
Enter Cash Maddox. 🏒❤️🔥
Cash is the captain of the Vegas Vengeance, a cocky, experienced hockey player with a reputation for being a bad boy. He's also her brother Dex's sworn enemy, which makes him just about the last man Ivy's family would want her anywhere near.
Naturally, the attraction between them is impossible to ignore!
One tequila-fueled night in Vegas later, Ivy wakes up wearing a wedding ring, and suddenly these two have a whole new set of problems.
Their solution? Stay married, pretend they're happy together, and absolutely DO NOT catch feelings.
Sure. That sounds completely reasonable! 😂
I loved watching their fake marriage slowly become something real. Their chemistry was fantastic from the beginning, but what made their relationship so enjoyable was discovering the man underneath Cash's confident exterior.
Because Cash was full of surprises!
He might come across as arrogant and carefree, but there's a thoughtful, protective side to him that Ivy gradually brings out. I especially loved the way he encouraged her to step outside her comfort zone and pursue the things she wanted.
He didn't treat her like the helpless youngest Bradley. He saw a woman who deserved the freedom to make her own choices.
And that meant so much.
Ivy's growing confidence was one of my favorite parts of the story. She's spent years being defined by her place in the family, and watching her begin to establish her independence was incredibly satisfying.
Of course, the romance brought plenty of heat, too! 🔥
Their banter, stolen moments, and undeniable attraction made it increasingly difficult for either of them to pretend their marriage was just an arrangement. And as Cash's feelings grew, so did the tenderness between them.
But oh, that BET.
Cash, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! 😩
His original intentions weren't exactly honorable, and when the truth threatens everything they've built, the emotional stakes become very real.
I appreciated that Ivy's hurt wasn't something she could simply brush aside. After spending so much of her life fighting to be taken seriously, discovering that someone she trusted had initially viewed her as part of a game was devastating.
Cash had some serious work to do, and watching him confront his mistakes and fight for Ivy gave their relationship so much more depth.
I also loved spending time with the Bradley family again. Their complicated dynamics, fierce loyalty, and tendency to involve themselves in each other's lives brought plenty of humor and heart to Ivy's story.
And knowing this was the final book in the series made everything feel a little bittersweet. 🥹❤️
Seven siblings, seven romances, and so many wonderful family moments. The epilogue was such a lovely way to bring everything together, and I couldn't have asked for a more fitting send-off.
Five fantastic stars! ⭐️
Breakaway Bet delivered everything I enjoy about a hockey romance: a protective hero with a softer side, a strong heroine discovering her independence, fantastic chemistry, emotional complications, and a whole lot of family chaos.
If you love accidental Vegas marriages, brother's-enemy romances, age gaps, virgin heroines, marriage of convenience, and hockey players who fall harder than they ever expected, this one deserves a spot on your TBR!
I'm sad to say goodbye to the Bradleys, but Ivy and Cash's story was such an enjoyable way to close out their journey.
Cash Maddox might have started this whole thing with a reckless bet, but falling in love with Ivy Bradley was the one outcome he never saw coming. ❤️🏒
Thank you to Lisa Suzanne and VPR for the gifted advanced reader copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
🏒💍 An accidental Vegas wedding, her brother's sworn enemy, and a hockey player who might just be her biggest risk and her best decision. ❤️
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Spice-meter: 🌶️🌶️☆☆☆ (2/5) Audiobook: 🎧 Dual Series: The Bradley Legacy, Book 7 (interconnected standalone) HEA: Yes
Breakaway Bet brings us back to the Bradley family for the final book in the series, and what a way to wrap things up! I'm genuinely sad to say goodbye to this family, but Lisa Suzanne gave Ivy and Cash a fun, emotional, and swoony story to close out the series.
The accidental Vegas wedding makes for a great start, especially considering Cash is Ivy's brother's sworn enemy. Add a marriage of convenience, forced proximity, and two people who are supposed to keep their feelings out of the equation, and you have a recipe for plenty of romantic tension. Their chemistry was fantastic, and I loved the mix of sharp banter, playful moments, and the softer side of their relationship.
Ivy's journey toward independence was another highlight for me. Having spent so much of her life sheltered and protected by her family, she wants the freedom to make her own choices. Cash turns out to be much more than the cocky hockey player he appears to be at first. Beneath that confident exterior is a caring, protective man who encourages Ivy to discover what she wants for herself.
Of course, no Bradley family story would be complete without plenty of family drama! The dynamics are complicated, chaotic, and absolutely wonderful, and I loved getting to spend more time with these characters. There are twists along the way, plenty of locker-room banter, and some lovely emotional moments. And that extra epilogue? The perfect cherry on top of the entire series.
What I Loved
✔️ Accidental Vegas wedding ✔️ Brother's sworn enemy ✔️ Protective and caring MMC ✔️ Ivy's journey toward independence ✔️ Great chemistry and playful banter ✔️ Marriage of convenience and forced proximity ✔️ Chaotic Bradley family dynamics ✔️ Emotional moments mixed with humor and romance ✔️ Extra epilogue that wraps up the family legacy
🎧 Narration
Performed in dual narration by Daphne Fields and Gideon Frost, and they did a fantastic job bringing Ivy and Cash to life!
Daphne Fields captured Ivy's development beautifully, balancing her vulnerability with the growing confidence and independence she discovers throughout the story. Gideon Frost was wonderful as Cash, bringing out both his cocky hockey-player charm and the softer, more protective side that makes him such a great hero.
Together, they delivered the humor, chemistry, and emotional moments so well. Their performances added another layer to the romance and made the audiobook a real pleasure to listen to.
A fantastic narration pairing for the final chapter of the Bradley family story!

Final Thoughts
Breakaway Bet was a fun, romantic, and emotional way to close out The Bradley Legacy. Lisa Suzanne delivers everything I've come to enjoy about this series: strong family connections, entertaining banter, plenty of chemistry, and characters who have to learn how to trust each other.
Ivy and Cash made a lovely couple, and I especially enjoyed watching Ivy gain confidence in herself while Cash showed her that being loved and supported doesn't mean giving up her independence. Their chemistry kept me invested, while the family drama added plenty of entertainment along the way.
I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but the extra epilogue was such a lovely way to revisit the Bradley family and give their story a little more closure.
A satisfying finale to a series I've loved following, and now I'm excited to see what Lisa Suzanne has in store for us next!
Lisa, thank you for all the Bradley family chaos. I'm going to miss these people, but my TBR is ready for whatever comes next.
I just want to say first... the last 3 books I've read involved a Vegas wedding. It never disappoints because each story has a very distinctive difference.
Breakaway Bet fits that bill perfectly.
The Bradley family series concludes with Ivy Bradley. She may be young, but she's fierce, feisty, and lost in the world of what to do just like literally every other 22 year old out there. Hot on the heels of the success of her six older siblings... she's determined to find exactly where she fits in and belongs.
That's easier said than done. She's not only the youngest, but they treat her as if she is still a child and not someone growing into their own.
While she may not know what she wants to do with her life... when she spots Cash Maddox at a club... she knows one thing she wants, a distraction. An escape. Cash, on the other hand, feels the urge and is drawn toward her, obviously because she's super cute and hot... but he sees an opportunity to mess with her brother, which he hates.
This marriage of convenience starts with a shotgun Vegas wedding that started as a dare between Cash and his hockey buddies.
My favorite part of this entire story is watching the growth in Cash and truly finding his maturity. Yes, he's a decade older than Ivy, but he was very guarded, totally living up the playboy hockey player life and happy to keep the merry-go-round of women in his life. But Ivy... she's able to wiggle her way underneath the broody attitude and works to find his softer side. When he takes her to visit his mom? Oh my lord that was so sweet. The more they got to know each other, the more their chemistry really exploded. She's a virgin and he took his time with her... he was patient, educational and made sure that each first was not rushed.
But, when the true initial intentions of them getting together comes out... it tests the will of their relationship and whether or not either of them can move past this and continue what they're building. Honestly, this is where you see the final step in Cash's growth. This is also where Ivy built up her confidence even more, even while beaten down and broken, she was able to pull herself together and really put herself first.
I did knock this down a 1/2 point because I feel like Ivy forgave him way too quickly. There could have been more discussion and more work on his part to really earn her back. She gave him all of her firsts... and he knew this secret would cause a problem and he still kept it to himself.
A special shout out to the entire Bradley clan and their significant others... the entire series has been an absolute blessing!
As for the audiobook... phew. The tonal difference between the rough, older vibe from Gideon Frost for Cash and the soft, innocent style from Daphne Fields was so perfect it hurt. It brought more to the difference in age and experience between the two - took us to a whole 'nother dimension. Their storytelling abilities really drew me in further to the story and had me laughing out loud, crying, blushing and more.
Thank you Lisa and Valentine PR for this ALC opportunity. Much love for the entire Bradley crew. 7 couples to complete the series. What an accomplishment!

This is the last book in the Bradley Legacy series and it’s a great finale. This is the youngest Bradley sibling Ivy’s story and the man she meets Cash; the older ice hockey player that she meets on her birthday night out , he’s the older good looking captain of the Vegas ice hockey team who holds a grudge against her family due to an illegal casino he was nearly caught in that he thought was a legitimate place , there’s no love lost between him & her brother Dex There’s instant attraction between them but her order brother Dex is there on her night out to stop anything going any further between Ivy & Cash Cash and his best friend and team mate West are pranksters and they have had a bet on that night to see who can get Ivy first but due to her brother being there nothing happens & it doesn’t pan out that night . The bet is upped to the next level who can get a ring on Ivy’s finger first Cash then finds out where she works and makes an appointment to see her. they got on really well the attraction is undeniable and they decided to go on a date. This ends up being a double date with their friends and West is egging Cash on to marry her and they all get very drunk and Cash & Ivy end up drunkenly getting married in a little chapel in Vegas. They decide to stay together to benefit both of them for a year with a contract to protect them both No feelings involved but feelings quickly happen and their relationship intensifies She is still innocent and wants Cash to be her first The sexual chemistry between them is great and they are in a great place together until west let’s slip that they got together due to a bet She is heartbroken, humiliated, devastated and very annoyed with the situation. She feels completely betrayed and can’t stay with cash. They both spend days apart both feeling awful and heartbroken and really realise that they both love each other. He doesn’t know how to get her back. It’s an unlikely person in her brother Dex that goes to him , to let him know where she’s gone to and says he knows what he must do ! but he actually doesn’t know what he must do and he has a lot of thinking to do , eventually he turns up for her when she really needs it at her father‘s court case where all the family are there ! all the Bradley family and partners and it shows how much he does care for her putting her first above anybody else and above his career . it makes a start in the right direction of them trying to get back together. You really are rooting for them to make a go of it. This book is a great book that has all the Bradley family in it and it’s a different sport to what is normally written about by Lisa Suzanne , there is lots of fun ; banter , sexual chemistry , great characters , a bit of a roller coaster journey but well worth reading Loved this book and the ending and the bonus section that brings everything together for the Bradley family in years to come is a great ending
Going in completely blind to both the series and Lisa Suzanne's writing, this was a true first impression with no reference for the world or the family at the center of it. That kind of entry point can go either way, but Breakaway Bet held up well even without that context.
The setup is exactly what you'd expect from the premise: an accidental Vegas wedding, a marriage nobody wanted, two people who agree not to catch feelings. The bet at the core of it is what gave me pause at first, because honestly that whole dynamic of wagering on someone else's emotions never sits right with me. It feels like an unfair thing to do, and there were definitely moments with both Cash and Ivy where I wasn't fully on board with their choices or their reasoning. Neither of them is easy to root for one hundred percent of the time, which is fine, but it's worth knowing going in.
What won me over was Ivy herself, specifically what drives her through the whole story. She's the youngest in a family that can't seem to stop hovering, and every decision she makes is colored by this need to prove she's her own person. What I really loved about her was that even knowing Cash was her brother's rival, she didn't let that stop her. She didn't just defer to how her family sees him. That's not a small thing. It says something about who she is, that she refuses to have her opinions handed to her, that she's willing to form her own.
Her whole arc is about breaking free from that overprotectiveness, and it gives the romance actual stakes beyond just "will they end up together." She's not looking for someone to protect her the same way her siblings do, she's looking to figure out who she is when no one's hovering over her. Cash, for all his faults and the moments where his decisions were questionable, fits into that in an interesting way. He pushes her toward things rather than away from them.
Coming in without having read the earlier books, I didn't have the emotional history with the Bradley family that longtime readers would bring to this. So I can't speak to how it lands as a series finale or how much the family dynamics pay off if you've been following along. What I can say is that the story worked as a standalone, the central relationship had enough pull to carry it, and Ivy's specific struggle to step out from under her family's shadow gave it something to actually be about beyond the tropes.
For a first introduction to Lisa Suzanne, this was a solid entry point. If you're already invested in this world, I imagine it hits even harder. A huge thank you to Lisa Suzanne and to VPR for trusting me with an advance review copy of Breakaway Bet. I don't take that trust lightly! As always, this review reflects my own honest thoughts and nothing else.
Breakaway Bet by Lisa Suzanne—brought to life through a phenomenal, immersive duet performance by Daphne Fields and Gideon Frost—is an emotional, spicy, and deeply satisfying pro hockey standalone romance that serves as the perfect, high-stakes conclusion to the beloved Bradley Legacy series.
The story follows Ivy Bradley, the youngest of seven siblings who is tired of being treated like a sheltered, overprotected child lost in the crushing sea of her family's fame and success. Small, fierce, and mighty, Ivy is desperate to break away from her family's constant hovering and carve out her own path. Enter Cash Maddox, the cocky, experienced bad boy superstar for the Vegas Vengeance and sworn enemy of Ivy's brother. Waking up in Las Vegas with a ring on her finger, a white dress in the corner, and her brother's rival in her bed was nowhere on Ivy's itinerary, but a night of too much tequila leads straight to a marriage of convenience. Determined to use the unexpected situation to her advantage, Ivy agrees to stay fake-married under two simple rules: convince everyone they are happy, and keep feelings entirely out of the equation.
What starts as an impulsive escape and a sneaky opportunity for Cash to get under her brother's skin rapidly transforms into a scorching, undeniable connection. Behind Cash’s arrogant, confident façade is a box full of surprises—a fiercely protective, thoughtful man who sees Ivy's true potential, encourages her to pursue her dreams, and inspires her to gain the confidence to stand on her own two feet. As their fake marriage turns impossibly sweet and intensely steamy, Ivy finds herself longing for her husband to be her first in every way, aching for their temporary arrangement to become real. However, Cash's original motives and hidden secrets eventually catch up with them, throwing their fragile, growing love into absolute chaos.
Imbued with sharp locker room banter, high-voltage chemistry, and authentic family drama, the narrative balances deep emotional vulnerabilities with sweet, caring moments and fiery heat. Daphne Fields and Gideon Frost elevate the listening experience through an exceptional dual narration, bringing out every ounce of Ivy's developing strength and Cash's surprising softness. Complete with a touching, tear-jerking epilogue that wraps up the entire Bradley family legacy with a beautiful bow, Breakaway Bet is a five-star grand finale that delivers a deeply satisfying, memorable happily ever after.

I had the massive honor of receiving the arc of this series since the very first book, when I met Madden and Kennedy and u completely fell in love with this characters and now I can’t believe that we finally got Ivy’s book and with her, the end of the Bradley series 🥹❤️ and I’m both happy and sad because I don’t want to say goodbye to them 😩 I’ve been so invested with this series and is such a bittersweet experience saying goodbye 🥹❤️ and I want first of all say thank you to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR for gave me the chance to read the advance copies of this series ❤️
Now, I knew, from the teaser at the end of Back up Plan, that this book was going to be so angsty and explosive and with all the feelings and oh my god!! It delivered 🙊👀🛐 I loveeeeee Cash, and I was always with the tension about Ivy knowing about the very dumb thing that Cash did 👀🫣 but let’s be honest, it was the main plot of the book and it is on the title of book so, there’s no big surprise about the if Ivy would ever know about it but when 👀 and yeah, Cash made me fall for him, he’s so soft and vulnerable but he only let his guard down with his mom and now with Ivy, and I just love him, he’s so kind and protective with her, he was so afraid of letting himself love Ivy because he lost someone very loved and he didn’t want to hurt like that again, but the last thing he expected the night he met Ivy, was to fall for her so fast and hard and I was living for it!! 😩😮💨❤️
And Ivy, my girl just wanted to be treated like an adult, she’s the last Bradley sibling so everyone used to treat her like the baby of the family, and now that she’s 22 she wants to take the reins of her life and living it the way she wants, and that includes be with Cash Maddox 😮💨🫣 and I mean, she did was acting like a child sometimes 😂 but I understand why she acted like that, and then she really showed her strength and her courage and maturity and I just love her so much, and I love how she made Cash for her, they were so meant for each other and they were exactly what they needed it even when everything started on a drunken night 🙊
I also loved the relationship she has with Everly, and of course I loved to read the dynamics with all the Bradley bunch and don’t even make me start with the bonus epilogue!! 😩❤️❤️❤️❤️ I was ugly crying reading how life has been sooooo good with all the Bradley siblings 🥹❤️ that was the perfect way to end this series and I can’t be thankful enough for reading this amazing books and characters 🥹❤️
And even when I’m sad about saying goodbye to the Bradleys, I’m so excited about what’s coming next 🙊🙂↕️✨

It all started with a bet...
Vegas Vengeance Center, Cash Maddox, is known as NHL's Bad Boy. Hidden underneath that party boy facade is an endearingly charming, extremely supportive, fiercely protective, and unabashedly sweet man. He's sinfully delicious, dominant and demanding, yet gentle. Passionate, playful and tender, he will absolutely melt your heart and heat up your insides. Never one to back down from a challenge, he's about to have his entire life shaken up in ways he never saw coming ...
Ivy Bradley is the youngest of the Bradley siblings. She's sweet and sunshiny with a side of sass. Beautiful both inside and out, she's ready to find her place in the world, beyond the shadows of her successful siblings. Fresh out of college and in an entirely new city, she's determined to find herself and prove that she's not just another pretty face. One look across a nightclub dance floor and she may just find more than she bargained for...
From the moment their eyes meet in a crowded bar, there's intense heat. A spark. And like moths to a flame, Cash & Ivy are drawn to one another. As the underlying current flows between them, all it takes is a little nudge from outside forces for the dam to break and lines begin to blur. One charged moment changes everything between them and they can no longer resist the temptation. Both with something to gain. Both with everything to lose... It's only a matter of time before the head and the heart begin to tangle. But with an end date in sight, will they actually risk it all to make it real? And when secrets are revealed that threaten to tear it all apart, will they stand and fight for one another or walk away from the best thing that has ever happened to both of them?
