I am your typical family man with a wife and kids and an overactive imagination. I am longtime reader and author of erotic fiction.

I write in genres that I find exciting and arousing. Most of my stories are in the naughty wife, wife-watching genre, though occasionally I venture into other subject matter.

Reader feedback is what keeps me going. Please leave reviews here at Amazon, and if you want to discuss my stories further, please feel free to contact me at ben.boswell.author@gmail.com or visit my blog at benboswell.com. You can follow me on Twitter @BenBoswellAut.

A quote from the author's foreword: "I doubt this will be anyone’s favorite book. It isn’t mine, frankly. But that said, I don’t regret it."

I'd seen some discussion of this book, and after that statement from the author, my expectations were pretty low. This is certainly a different take on its genre and I think it works well.

Our hero, Kellen, is an asshole. He's an Alpha Male through and through, the kind of guy who usually gets the girl in stories like this one. He's a big bucks financier and a sizable chunk of this book is devoted to his attempts at wheeling and dealing his way out of a hole - ordinarily, I'd be bored to tears by the machinations he's involved in, but the author makes it work by steadily entangling his domestic life with his business deals.

Kellen and his wife, Joanie, fight. He accuses her of not understanding him due to her lack of experience with men before they got together. She responds that maybe she should go out and get some experience and he tells her to go ahead. Of course, he doesn't believe she will...

I spent the first half of this book strongly disliking Kellen, but he eventually wakes up to himself and to how poorly he has been treating Joanie. He realises he needs to fix his relationship with his wife, and from that point, chapter by chapter, he becomes a more tolerable human being.

And the seven dates? They're smoking hot, especially once Kellen comes to terms with what Joanie is doing. They fight and exchange some hard truths but there is none of the cruelty and humiliation that shows up in many stories of this genre, and the couple's journey and final destination is all the richer for this.

Bravo to Ben Boswell for trying something different. I look forward to reading what he comes up with next.

(Mild Spoiler at end of this review)

Ben Boswell has a knack for creating complex and interesting people. Some you may like, some, not so much. This is more than just a sex story with a little plot. The sex and action go hand in hand.

I loved this book, but the characters are pretty unlikeable, the author admits it. Husband is selfish and wife acts like a child throwing a temper tantrum. Regardless, I couldn't stop reading this. I needed to find out what happened. Plus the sex was really hot.

My one concern was that I didn't understand why these two were married to each other in the first place, and (spoiler, kinda) Despite how things wrap up, these two wouldn't be married for much longer.

Seven Dates: A Different Kind of Hotwife

I thought it could have been a little more on the description side of the sexual encounters. But overall the characters were amazing and I don't know of a better idea for a sequel. I would definitely recommend this book it was entertaining.

Bless me Father...

Although this story has some disturbing elements, it's an action-packed, white hot story that takes the reader on a wild ride of manipulation, and hot sex, of every description. It was hard to put down!

good storyline but weak ending, just too happy to be convincing. Such a dark story demands a darker finish.
