Regina Puckett has been writing for over forty-eight years, and lives in Tennessee with her husband of over forty years. She has two grown daughters and four grandchildren.
She writes sweet romances, horror, inspirational, steampunk, picture books and poetry. There are always several projects in various stages of completion and characters and stories waiting in the wings for their chance to finally get out of her head and onto paper. The only way she knows to shut the voices up is to tell their stories and to let them live among the pages of her books.
She loves writing in many different genres because life is too short to be stuck in a rut.
This was my first read by the talented Regina Puckett. I was hooked from the first paragraph and even though I knew something was up but didn't guess the ending. Nice
Another short story from this author, one to make you hate the guy and shiver at the outcome. A great, well written little plot that speaks on many levels.
This book has been on my Kindle for nearly 5 years. It's a fun creepy horror, short read, I will be looking for more books by the author, after I get something to eat.
Sandy has recently moved in with her boyfriend and although she loves him it has not been smooth sailing. The main reason is because he keeps going on about her weight. When he gives her a bottle of slimming pills she tries one just to shut him up but the results are not what either expected.
This is another short that is very compelling and at times gross. I've no idea why Sandy was with her boyfriend Donald as he came across as being arrogant and rude right from the start. They must have fallen in love at some point to move in together but now that they do share a place he badgers her about being fat at breakfast, lunch and dinner. At times I really wanted to punch the idiot but I'm happy with how this played out in the end. It would be good if there was a follow up to this just so we know what happened. It's not a cliffhanger and I can pretty much guess what happened but it would be nice to see how sandy is doing a month down the line. A good twist, not scary for me in the slightest but it dose make you shiver and leaves you thinking this would be a good present to anyone who has ever called you fat.
Although I thought this was really good I cant rate it higher then Regina Puckett's other short story 'Mine' as that just had the creep factor that stuck with me so I give this 6 out of 10 Good, but I had to get out as the water was getting cold.
Sandy’s new boyfriend, Donald, is constantly on her back about how much she eats. She loves him, so when he gives her pills that he tells her will keep her from gaining weight, she jumps at the chance. Unfortunately for the both, the pills have some unusual side effects. If you want to know what they are, you’ll just have to read Regina Puckett’s extremely short book, Slimmer. Puckett writes with a deft touch and a wicked sense of humor, and you’ll enjoy this story despite a few typos that intrude in strategic places.
