This is an art book, where nine cat breeds are represented. Yes -- just nine. There is a brief paragraph about each breed, supposedly narrated by a member of that cat breed. Even then, the information isn't always right. Russian Blues are really greys, and British Shorthairs are one of the smallest breeds out there.

There were two artists that did the interior illustrations, and a third (Sumo) who did a cartoon of a cat with an impossible color running at the top right hand corner of the page. You're supposed to quickly flip the pages to see the cat "run." Obviously, this in no way works for ebook copies, like the one I read.

The pages on the left showed the text and poorly done watercolors. The pages on the right showed a detailed painting of the featured breed. Those nine paintings were the only good part of the book.

There are so many other, better cat books out there for kids. This really suffers in comparison.
