Rosie and her best mates Soph and Abs are three regular girls. They like regular-girl things; they eat regular-girl food and wear regular-girl gear. In book one in the "Megastar Mysteries" series, their regular-girl lives are turned upside down when Rosie gets caught up with a desperate plea for help from a mega pop star, Mirage Mullins, who's doing a signing in their local record shop. The girls don't know quite what to do, but they'll go to any lengths to help save the career of their favourite pop star. The trio of friends must find a way to solve the murky mystery surrounding Mirage's gorgeous stepbrother, Joe, and they resolve to get to the bottom of the strange behaviour of Mirage's manager, Simone Jones. Over the course of the "Megastar Mysteries" series, Rosie and her friends unintentionally stumble upon other celebrity mysteries that need solving and, much to their delight, are always finding themselves in demand by mega stars with mega problems. Readers will fall in love with Maff, the troubled star of rising pop band Fusion, actress twins Paige and Shelby, teen model Angel, soap opera star Cassie St Claire and the enigmatic new chart sensation "Songbird".

Review :

I chose this gleefully at the library last weekend when I recognised the series title from reading them 2 years ago.

This series is about 3 normal best friends (Rosie,Soph and Abs)who are constantly solving mysteries for celebrities - so unrealistic.

In this particular book a new popular anonymous singer ,only known as SongBird,is invited to their environmental themed school fete. However SongBird may start singing the blues because someone is attempting to sabotage this event.

Can Rosie, her friends and her crazy detective programme loving Grandmother stop the saboteur in time ?

It was weird but also successful to re-visit characters I hadn't encountered for so long.Stories like this make me want my own detective agency.

Unfortunately I did solve the mystery of this book before it was revealed but it's the first time that's happened with this series.

I still thought this book was extremely enjoyable though due to the fact they uncover evidence so quickly.

I'd recommend this for people who love Nancy Drew (like me) and are looking for a girly quick read.

Love this book very much as when I started to read it I couldn't really put it down. I also appreciate how it has an extract from the next book at the end. It had a plot twist that shocked me very much and I'm looking forward to read the next book
