This needs to be added to everyone’s fall TBR. The absolute genius idea of this book. Everyone should read it.
This has witches, voodoo and body jumping. This book takes us into the past and then to current day. It was also very easy to follow. I was never confused about the time period once. Also loved this takes place in Massachusetts, I’m from Maine so this one hit close to home.
The main characters were all likable and relatable. Lore, Anna, Macy, Wild, and Samuel. I loved Anna but I also really loved lore and Macy and I hope they get a story too.
Y’all this book does not disappoint. I loved every friggin second of it. I would recommend this dark historical fantasy to absolutely everyone and anyone! This one will stay with me for a while. Just living rent free in my head.

This is a story about trauma, love, grief, found family, and new beginnings. We get multiple POVs and timelines, which I absolutely loved. Set in Salem, Massachusetts, during the 1600s witch trials, the story has the perfect gothic, eerie atmosphere for anyone who loves a haunting setting. Anna lives in a time where women are accused of witchcraft and all she wants to do is escape. One of my favorite things was how beautifully the author’s descriptions brought everything to life. I loved the characters for different reasons, but Macy was hands down my favorite. Jonathan Corwin, was my least favorite. He was a terrible man with extreme religious beliefs who tormented and blamed Anna for everything. Anna, the FMC, is incredibly strong, and I was rooting for her the entire time. This was great read and I'm excited to see whats next.

This book had me absolutely hooked from page 1! I wanted to kick of spooky season with a bang and Sages book is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It has it all, fantasy, Salem Witch trials, Gothic Horror, different timelines, slow burn romance plus the vibes from 1600s Salem and present day Salem were phenomenal!! The blending of the two timelines were great and the use of names you will recognise if you have read about the Witch Trials was a welcome addition for sure!
The ending wraps up nicely, but stays open for a possible book two! Heres hoping!
Absolutely beautiful book!!
