Right Angle began as a column in the now-defunct Sunday magazine in November 1991 by well-known journalist and political commentator Swapan Dasgupta who has worked for many leading Indian publications, including The Times of India.. This collection of articles covers the period between the final months of the first Manmohan Singh Government, the general election of 2009, and the first year of the second UPA dispensation. This collection is entitled Right Angle precisely because it offers a perspective that is sympathetic to free enterprise and nationalism.
