Helen J Barnes' "For Us Alone" is the perfect story for anyone who loves erotic novellas. It's sexy, seductive, and scorching hot.
Jane, a happily married mother, gets a weekend away with the girls to attend an author signing. Yes, she misses her family but, she has been dying to meet her online blogger friends for what seems like an eternity. While checking into her hotel, she sees "him". It couldn't be! It's the man she never expected to see in public. She has seen him over and over on tv and in her dreams but could the one and only Mr. Green really be staying in the same hotel as her?
After settling in, Jane goes for a few drinks with the girls, only to realize that her Mr. Green is doing the same. She decides to stay a little longer after her friends call it a night to admire him just a while longer.
That's when the unexpected happens. Jane finds herself, sitting at a table with the source of all of her naughtiest and most pleasurable fantasies, only to discover that the attraction is mutual. Mr. Green, also happily married, has proposed one night and only that night for them to fulfill the desire between them.

What an incredible and not to mention sexy and steam meter blowing novella. As one of my first reads from the lovely Helen J Barnes, this was packed! The hard working wife and mother escapes her life to attend a Birmingham book signing (only to get more than she bargained for!)...

There’s not really a lot to say about this book, other than it’s an erotic novella that was a fun way to kill an hour before going to bed. Jane, a happily married wife and mother, happens to meet the celebrity of her dreams, Mr Green, who also happens to be married, while checking into her hotel room. A one night only arrangement suddenly turns into two nights, with the promise of another hookup a few months down the road. Both make no apologies about having an affair, and while I can’t speak for Mr Green, Jane doesn’t feel one ounce of guilt. Those two nights of amazing sex was for her, for him, for them alone. If you can get past the cheating side of the story, you’ll enjoy it.
And seriously, who doesn’t fantasise about spending a couple of nights locked in a hotel room with the celebrity of their dreams.
