Oh lord, I love me some forbidden love, that’s why I am addicted to this series. I know some are turned off by an older guy, younger girl, but I love it! Getting Hot is a story about an 16 year old girl and a 26 year old guy. I hope I didn’t lose you there, because it’s also so much more.

“No one’s ever looked at me the way you do. I’ve never felt how you make me feel.”

Bran is working as a bartender in his family’s bar Sam Hill when he meets Destiny. Destiny is new to town and is hired as a server. Bran makes the mistake of sleeping with Destiny. While they both agree it’s a one-night stand a casual, Destiny has other plans. Destiny is looking for stability for her and her sister. When she meets Bran, a former Marine, she thinks he is the perfect fit.

Lilah is Destiny’s sister and a musician. She comes into Sam Hill looking for a job performing. Bran is immediately taken back by Lilah. Even though he thinks Destiny and Lilah are twins there is something different about Lilah.

So while there is an age gap Bran has no idea Lilah is underage and is relentless in his pursuits. Lilah is completely torn. She is attracted to Bran and once they build a connection it’s hard to continue turning him down. The difference is she knows Destiny wants more, she knows that she is ten years younger than Bran, and a minor.

I loved watching these two fight their feelings and Bran’s pursuits. Like Mia’s other books this is so much more than forbidden love. Destiny and Lilah have been through hell and back, they have survived so much and are completely alone in the world. So while Lilah is a minor she has lived through more than most people will ever see. She isn’t immature or a regular sixteen year old.

Hot, sexy, forbidden is definitely my jam, but tons of heart, you can’t beat it. This is a fantastic read, over the top at times, but definitely worth picking up!

Another fab creation by Mia Storm in the Jail Bait series. A steamy and sexy, forbidden romance, that will excite and infuriate you to no end.

Branson Silo is an ex-Marine, who is currently working as a bartender in his family's bar. This is where he meet's the Morgan sisters. Twenty-one year old Destiny was recently hired as a server. Being new to town and running from her past demons, Destiny is looking for stability. The sisters have been through hell and back, fighting for survival and fighting to stay together. Destiny has always taken care of her younger sister, and Destiny has Branson in her sights. Sixteen year old Delilah Morgan, is a student and musician. Music is the way her soul speaks. Looking for a job, in order to help her elder sister with the bills, Lilah (for short), obtains a steady gig at the bar, working for tips.

Branson knows he's made a mistake when he has a one night stand with Destiny, but, when Lilah, walks into the bar, something inside of him clicks. Despite the age difference, Lilah and Destiny could pass as twins. Most of the same alluring features, except something in Lilah's eyes calls out to Bran. Learning of the mishap, Bran soon starts looking forward to seeing Lilah at her gigs. What Bran doesn't know, is that Lilah is underage, way way underage. For a man who doesn't do relationships, and is a 'hit em and leave em' kind of guy, something or someone has his boxers in a bunch.

As the barrage of feelings erupt between Lilah and Bran, Lilah continues to resist telling Bran about her age, while keeping him at arms length. Always concerned about Destiny and undermining her. Yet, when Bran sets his foot down, he lets Lilah know, in no uncertain terms, that he likes her and not Destiny. He wants her and not Destiny.

In his eyes, I'm sexy and strong. I'm a woman. His woman.
....she's only sixteen.

"In the chaos of my thoughts, only one is clear. Lilah's my addiction and I can't quit her. I can't give her up without a fight..."

This was a quick and enjoyable read that ignites your senses and keeps you rooting for Bran and Lilah. I loved Lilah's tough as nails persona, and her internal battles. At sixteen, she traveled many roads to maturity and is an old soul. When these two come together, its an inferno of emotions, that cannot be tamed.

"I didn't choose to fall for him, but it was like a freight train. There was nothing I could do to stop it."

Oh my word...Mia Storm has done it once again!!!! There was no need to twist my arms to read any of her books, because I am seriously addicted to her Jail Bait Series. If I thought the previous two books were sexy, hot and forbidden, Mia has turned up the heat in this third installment. Simply, Getting Hot was a fucking inferno of sexy forbidden romance. Forbidden romance has always been one of my favorite trope and Mia Storm created a firestorm with this sexy hot forbidden romance that just gets hotter and hotter as each chapter progressed.

#GettingHot_MiaStorm

Getting Hot had FORBIDDEN stamped all over this book and how could it not especially when it chronicles the tale of a 16 year old girl and her whirlwind romance with a 26 year old former Marine/ bar owner. Though this book was screaming with the forbidden aspect of the brewing sexual relationship between Lilah and Bran, Getting Hot was so much more. When you think of a 16 year old heroine, automatically one would immediately think naive and innocent but in this case, Lilah is not an ordinary 16 year old. Lilah is so mature for her age and has experienced what it meant to grow up so fast. She knew what it meant to survive and live day to day trying to make ends meet with her older sister, Destiny. So when Delilah gets hired to perform songs at Bran's family bar, she didn't expect to have such a strong pull to him. As a known womanizer, Bran never thought he would be so captivated by Lilah. Something about Lilah sparks and awakens something inside him. Igniting a burning desire to get to know her on a deeper level, Bran wanted Lilah to be his. As the growing attraction and connection between Lilah and Bran gets too deep, lines begins to get crossed and blurred. How will Bran react when he learns of the truth and secret of Lilah's age? Can Branson accept that he has fallen for a 16 year old girl?

"In the chaos of my thoughts, only one is clear. Lilah's my addiction and I can't quit her. I can't give her up without a fight. There's only person who can hurt us. One person to fight."

#GettinHot_Mia

I absolutely loved this book because this story was so much more than a forbidden romance because this story was more of an emotional pull between Lilah and Bran. Also, in this book it also showcases the bonds of siblings love and the depths we go to protect one another. Throughout the book, I didn't get bothered by the age difference between Lilah and Bran because Lilah showed readers a maturity to her character. Though the sexual tension and chemistry between the two was smoking HOT, I felt that Mia Storm did an amazing job connecting the emotional past of Destiny and Deliah. I love when an author allows readers to connect to her characters and that what Mia did when she showed readers a more in depth character background of each of her characters. And as a for the romance department in this book, the title alone of this book should be self explanatory. Bran and Lilah's chemistry was a burning inferno of love, lust, desire, and passion!!! So if you are looking for a hot sexy steamy and emotional book, then I highly recommend you to read Getting Hot by Mia Storm.

I've been a big fan of this series from day one, and aside from the first book, which I absolutely LOVED, I think this one is my favorite. Everything worked so well together and all the story pieces tied in beautifully. It just carried the perfect mixture of seriousness, levity, romance, sexual tension, and emotion that I was looking for.

I loved both the characters in this story. I'd met Branson before, of course, in the prior book, and was very excited to see that he was getting his own book. This is a somewhat damaged guy whose seen war, death, and other things that I can't imagine a person going through. He doesn't do relationships for some pretty compelling reasons, but from the moment he meets Delilah, he's hooked. You'd probably read that last statement and think insta-love, right? Wrong. This was a very slow-building romance that was agonizing but gratifying to read. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I also loved Delilah. She's not your typical 17 year old girl, for starters. This is a person who has basically been on her own, along with her slightly older sister, for years now. Such an experience tends to help you grow up a little too fast, become much more mature for your age, and this is the case with Lilah. She has a seriousness and gravity about her that I loved instantly. She was the perfect match for Bran in my view, because their separate tragedies created a mutual understanding and empathy that I found particularly compelling in their relationship.

This story was also packed with great conflict. Not only is there the age difference to contend with, but what about the added conflict of Lilah's older sister also being into Branson? Loved it! This book really took off for me and I read it so quickly that I was surprised and sad when it was over. It was so fast-paced; Mia Storm worked her magic and gave us some strong, likeable characters we could sympathize with and love, and she brought in her unique flare of sexual tension that just had you on the edge of your seat. Great installment to the series!!

~ 5 Scorchin' HOT Stars ~

I am completely addicted to this series!!! I don't know what that says about me because of the subject matter of this story/series,, but Mia Storm has completely sucked me in and I hope we get more books to this series.

Getting Hot is the third book in the Jail Bait Series. Even though these books are all stand-alones, it was great to see how the author ties all the characters together. She even overlaps the story just a tad bit. What I did find different with this book was how she handled the age difference. I thought it was glossed over in this book compared to how things turned out in the other two books. This one didn't feel as realistic to me as much as the other books did. Now with that said….I still LOVED this book and it in no way took away from my enjoyment of this story.

Getting Hot is a taboo/forbidden love story between Bran (26) and Lilah (16). If you are not a fan of this type of age difference then this book might not be the one for you. I on the other hand didn't mind the age gap, because one thing Mia does amazingly well with , is creating characters that seem older than they really are. As you read this story you truly do forget how old Lilah is. Lilah has been through more stuff in her 16 years of life than most people see in a lifetime. Even though they are so different in age, Bran and Lilah still seemed to fit together. they truly do complete each other. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone, but I think this one is my favorite so far in this series and that is saying something because I LOVED Getting Dirty (Book 1) and Getting Played (Book 2).

Each of these books are age related taboo love stories, but I truly believe they are all tastefully written and like I said before she does an amazing job with the characters you truly forget their ages. These books are all fairly quick reads and talk about STEAMY :) but not to the point of tacky or raunchy. I truly can't say enough about these books and this series.

I am forever a fan of Mia Storm and her books!!!!!

Ah, Mia Storm's books just have this way of getting under my skin. I may not be a fan of Bran sleeping with sisters—one after the other (take note: not at the same time), but she still somehow made it work. It made me feel every single emotion in the book and I think that's what really captivated me. Plus, I think the concept of this series has been particularly unique for me. It kept my interest the entire ride and I just flipped through the whole thing.

Lilah Morgan is such an independent, strong and brave young woman. She may still be sixteen, but she is wiser beyond her years and she certainly acts more mature than other girls her age. She and her sister has gone through so much—they lost their home, the people who were supposed to be their protectors and role models in life, and ever since they have been fending off for themselves. She hasn't even graduated from high school yet and all she has to make money is her angelic voice and mad songwriting skills. She's looking for a gig in this bar, but what she wasn't expecting was to meet this sexy ex-marine who's the bartender for the said bar. The minute they see each other, the world tips and they're like magnets being drawn to each other. The second they touch, sparks fly and the world explodes. And nobody has ever made Lilah this hot. Ever.

Bran Silo is the bartender for his family's bar, Sam Hill. Ever since he left the marines, that's where he found himself. He wanted to help out his momma in managing the bar and well, he scores his girls there as well. Guess it works both ways. This is how and where he met Destiny, the girl he knows deep inside was a mistake to take home and have a one-night stand with. His life has never been the same after leaving the marines. He slept around with faceless and countless women to distract himself and keep himself from falling asleep and going through all those nightmares. He has never wanted to pursue someone exclusively until his eyes met Lilah's and heard her voice—which by the way, is like sex for him. It was that heavenly. But here's the thing, Lilah is Destiny's sister. He wasn't expecting the attraction and pull she has on him, but he was willing to go the mile to get her and give her everything he has to offer. What he didn't know was, the girl he has been pining for all this time is underage and a whole ten years younger than him. Until what lengths is he willing to go to once he learns about this? Is what he feeling strong enough to go on and wait for Lilah?

I just love where this story went. The storyline was amazing with just the right amount of hotness and sexiness and forbiddenness all over. And the title of this book seriously meant a whole lot different from what I thought. I adored Lila's courage. She knew where she stood and what she's capable of. She never let anything stop her. Bran, well, to be honest, in the beginning, he kinda sucked. And like I said, what he did with those sisters was just a big foul hit to me, though I know it's part of the story. Don't worry, it did not ruin anything. It may have just given the story much more flavor. But he totally picked himself back up and proved how good he still is for Lilah. I love how slowly, he changed for her. How he melded himself to her and the way she lives. They actually helped each other define themselves and find the true meaning of their lives. Bran was just so sweet, there was never a time I wanted to sucker punch him. And he's too cute when he gets jealous. I thought I wouldn't, but I totally swooned for this guy. I want to know so much more of what happens in the future. The ending just melted my heart and it was perfect. It was perfect for everyone.

Hands down, this is another mesmerizing and wonderful book from Mia Storm. After reading Getting Dirty, I didn't know what to expect from this. That one tore me apart and shredded my heart. But she totally outdid herself on this one and I am in love. On a side note, I'm grateful how these books are part of a series, but you can read them as standalones.

I love forbidden romance and the angst that comes with it, well just so you’re inform Getting Hot definitely fits that bill. Let me first say that as a parent I would not readily concode any of my children having an age inappropriate relation, but at the same time I understand that not everything is black and white. It goes without saying that Mia Storm has a tact for allowing the brain and heart accept the gray areas of this taboo subject.

Getting Hot follows the story of 16-year old street musician Delilah “ Lilah” Morgan and 26 year old ex-marine Branson “ Bran” Silo. Not only are these two running from their past demons, but they’re also fighting the attraction they have for each other.

Since coming home from serving in the military Bran’s been tending his family bar, Sam Hill. He’s more than content with his random one night stands and zero thought of changing his ways, until this pretty face walks into his bar looking for work. That pretty face happens to belong to Lilah.

In desperate need of cash to help older sister Destiny keep the lights on after losing their family home to a fire.Lilah finds work doing what she knows best playing music. It doesn’t take long for the attraction to set in between her and Bran, except for the secrets they're both keeping from each other. Bran has already slept with Lilah’s older sister and Lilah is way too young for Bran.

The bond between the Liliah and Destiny is very strong considering these two have been on their own for the past two years, but the attraction Lilah and Bran has is stronger. I found Getting Hot quite different from the previous two titles of the Jail Bait series so its not the same story being told with different people.

Mia Storm has an amazing for creating likeable characters, and enjoyable story surrounding such a taboo subject. While Getting Hot is part of the Jail Bait series each of the titles can be read as standalones, but why would you want to do that to yourself.

Another awesome addition to the Jail Bait Series by Mia Storm!

I'm a sucker for forbidden love and I think that's why I am addicted to this series! Mia Storm writes these books in such an amazing way that I can't help but get sucked into the story to see what happens.

In Getting Hot we meet Lilah, a sweet sixteen year old girl, who just moved to town with her old sister Destiny. Destiny and Lilah could be twins with how much alike they are, but there is an age difference. When Lilah walks into the bar that Destiny works at, hoping she can get a job singing, she never expected to meet sexy ex-marine Bran.

Bran and Lilah are definitely attracted to one another and there is a pull toward each other that neither of them can deny. Bran thinks that Lilah is Destiny's twin, and Lilah knows that a. she's young, b. her sister has hooked up with Bran and c. she can't fight her feelings for him even though she tries her hardest.

If you've read the previous books in this series (all standalone novels) you'll know that Mia Storm likes to take us on a wild ride and throw in a ton of twists, and Getting Hot did not disappoint. Lilah is definitely more mature for her age and I think that's why Bran doesn't question her age, but she probably should have been more upfront with him.

Bran being a guy who does not do relationships, can't explain his draw to Lilah and her, without even knowing it, making him want more. I loved how he pursued her until he realized he was becoming like the girls who were always trying to get more from him. He's sweet and caring and he truly does care for Lilah. The way he looks out for her and tries to keep her safe is amazing, and I definitely got a crush on him in this book.

Not only is Getting Hot about Lilah and Bran and their forbidden romance, but also about Destiny and Lilah's past. The things these girls have gone through are horrific and my heart hurts for them in this book. I understand Destiny's protectiveness of Lilah and how she really is like a mama bear to her, especially with everything we find out in this book.

I really enjoyed Bran and Lilah's story, as I have with all the previous titles in this series. I did like how this one didn't go down the predictable road but more of an off beaten track that made this book perfect. If you love forbidden romances, I highly recommend picking up Getting Hot today! You'll love Bran and Lilah will be a character that you can't help but like.

The forbidden enthralls the dark part of our minds, but it works better when it's deeply laced with soulful meaning.

Bran and Lilah have all that in spades.

Their story is as real as hot, and I loved it.

Double POV is perfect to know the characters inside out, so I felt connected to their reasons for behaving as they did. Bran has screwed half the planet, which I didn't care for, but he's an ex-Marine with issues and a fear that life will not amount to much. Things that give him depth. On the other hand, Lilah sings at this bar to earn some money to aid her sister to pay the rent after their parents go off the map in seedy circumstances. The past that haunts this girl is creepy.

The heat they produce together could melt cement.

The fact that she's underage and he's slept with her sister are obstacles, but not deterrents. He doesn't know about her age, of course. And I could relate to her decision not to tell him because that would break the spell of confidence and beautiful attraction he casts on her.

The relationship develops in a timely manner, based on brazen chemistry as they share those hours while she sings at his bar. Slowly, they get to know each other's circumstances, and the author does a great job painting the characters as people beyond their insanely hot attraction.

The way he finds out about her age really worked and it's only the trigger of a huge epiphany of drama, deep emotions, and more secrets coming to light that absolutely stunned me. This book is much more than a forbidden romance, it's that in hot words but also a path to redemption, freedom and love for people of flesh and blood and beautiful feelings.

I confess my unconditional devotion to Mia Storm's idea of jail bait stories that tug at your libido as much as at your heart. Perfect!

This series started off strong. But, in my opinion, each subsequent book gets a bit weaker. The storyline is just okay and the degree of conflict that comes from the main jail bait theme is also lighter. Plus, this book is more towards the insta-love side of things, so there isn't as much interaction between the MCs to show their compatibility, depth of relationship, etc. There's just not as much to cling onto here. Also, this book features a character who was pretty minor in the previous book, so it isn't as though the reader would have a strong attachment to him, starting out. I think the author would be able to draw the reader in faster if she had built up Bran's character in the previous book. Plus, the ending kind of falls flat.

Romance and Fantasy for Cosmopolitan Girls

This book was such a nice surprise! I agreed to read this book without realising it was part of a series and I admit I was a little nervous because I had no idea what the other books in the series had been about, or if I needed to have read them first. Turns out that didn't matter at all - Getting Hot is a story told so brilliantly, you don't need to know anything previously. I don't know if these characters are mentioned in other books, but it didn't matter. I didn't need to read the others in the series, however I definitely will be now.

As the blurb says, Delilah and her sister, Destiny, are used to living by themselves, getting by as best they can. Moving to a new place, starting new schools and new jobs, neither one of them expect to find love, or at least a romantic interest, but that's exactly what happens. It just turns out they both fall for the same guy.. eek. Bran is the guy of the moment - hot bartender, massively popular with the ladies, but hiding demons of his own. Used to being the love and leave em type, Bran doesn't hesitate when it comes to having a good time with Destiny. The first problem? She wants more. The second problem? Upon meeting her sister, Lilah, he realises how much he wants her. And the feelings are most definitely reciprocated.
"I want to fuck you worse than I've ever wanted to fuck any woman, but right now, I'll settle for the taste of your mouth."

With both girls looking simlar, Bran is quick to assume they are twins. For him, that's the only thing making him reserved when it comes to Lilah. Little does he know that Lilah isn't quite the age he thinks. She's 16. This is where it got interesting for me. I don't care what anyone says, I think a forbidden romance is just so damn exciting. It isn't until over half way through that Bran finds out the truth and when he does find out, I couldn't help thinking it was all abit of an anticlimax. Of course he was shocked, angry, wanting to run away.. but, that was kind of it. After the inital shock wore off, it was almost as if was irrilevant. I wanted more of a reaction.
"If I have to wait, I'll wait. But I'll never quit you, Lilah. I can't."

The book is told in both Delilah and Bran's POV. I feel like this was the best way to tell this story because it was so important to see both sides of their story. I wanted to know how Bran felt when he knew the truth, but at the same time, I wanted to know how Lilah was feeling before he knew the truth. The author's writing is excellent - she kept me interested throughout the whole story, not once did I actually want to put it down because I was bored or not feeling it. It was brilliant.

There were a few side stories, that I won't mention, that I feel were just unnecessary. Delilah has a friend, Lo, who plays a small part in the story that, to be quite honest, I found not necessary. It didn't add to the story at all. But there were also other parts to the story, like Lilah and Destiny's background, that I found so very interesting and it was woven in to the story excellently.

description

All in all, I thought this story was brilliant and I'll definitely be looking in to the series to see what else there is for me to devour.

Delilah Morgan and her older sister Destiny have been on their own for two years, since their parents burned down the family home and went to jail for cooking meth. She’s street smart and tough. Nothing about her says sixteen, and she’s not about to tell anyone. Especially Bran, the hot ex-marine bartender Destiny has her eye on. He’s stable and successful and everything her sister needs to keep them off the street. The only problem, something about Bran inspires her and suddenly she’s writing the best music she ever has. But when he hires her to play weekends at his family’s saloon, he finds out she’s more than he can handle…which is saying something considering he used to blow things up for a living.

When the grenade finally explodes and the shrapnel flies, will Bran be left standing? Or has he survived years at war only to be taken down by Jail Bait?

Destiny has just started working as a server at a bar, trying to make ends meet for her and her sister. Branson, or Bran is the bartender at said bar and when he sees Destiny, he knows he has to have her. The end up sleeping together, and Destiny thinks she’s found someone who can help keep her and her sister stable and in a better environment. Lilah, Destiny’s sister, a musician and she’s 16. Bran is instantly smitten with Lilah and has no clue that she’s underage. And she knows Destiny wants him. This book was a great tug-o-war between these three. ERIN'S REVIEW

This story was gripping. I couldn’t put it down because I was anxious to see how it ended. Lilah and Bran are very good characters. Lilah has a dark past and hasn’t ever faced her demons from that time. Bran is intrigued by Lilah from the first time he met her. But he is also battling his own demons from his time in the service. They will face their demons and come out on the other side together. There are quite a few drama filled moments in this story. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and the bottom to fall out. I was pleasantly surprised by how the story turned out. Of course there were a few “Oh crap” moments, but they pulled through those. Bran and Lilah could set a glacier on fire! Most definitely HOT AND STEAMY!

What attracted me to this book was the heading..A Jail Bait Novel.
I thought.."What the heck?"
And yes, it is exactly what is says.

Lilah is underage. She doesn't feel like it though. In her life she's lived through more bad stuff than most people can even think about. She's had to grow up fast, learn hard lessons and be responsible.

Bran is a former Marine. He works as a bartender. Taking care of the bar for his mom gives him a job and keeps his mind busy.
Because when you've lived through the stuff he has...A busy mind is very very important.
Bran doesn't do relationships. Women are one vise he uses to keep the monsters in his head at bay. He's always kept to a strict no doing the help policy.
Until a sweet, sexy singer walks into his bar. And then he feels her in places he hasn't ever felt a woman before.

Lilah knows that the way Bran looks at her isn't a way he would look at her if he knew the truth. But she needs this gig and there's no way she's telling him. Plus she likes the way his scorching glances make her feel.

I don't want to put any spoilers in this review. This book was just to good to give anything away.
Trust me when I say that there isn't anything dirty or pervy about this book.
Getting Hot is a love story. It's a story about two people who are several years apart, but meet on more than an emotional or physical level.
It's a story about being completely helpless to your heart.

The ending however left me feeling a little let down. I know it's basically a HEA, but I wanted more. Then I began to wonder if maybe it's a slight, though very slight, cliff-hanger? As if maybe there might be more from Bran and Lilah in the future.
Otherwise, Well done!

Welcome to book three in the Jail Bait Series. This time we are getting to know Bran better. He has seen what happens when you fall in love with the "wrong" person, When the one person that your very heart decides that it wants is to young for you in the eyes of the law and others, what do you do. Do you make the choice to follow your heart and allow it to love, or do you follow society's norm and go against what your very soul may need the most. These are the question that Bran is faced with.

Delilah is at a young adult who in her life she has been forced to grow up and become an adult faster than most people her age. Because of this, she comes across and appears much older than she actual is. Knowing that she has to find away to help her sister Destiny make ends meet she finds a job playing and singing at the local bar. Because of the fact that she looks much older than she is Bran doesn't initially question how old she is. As things and time move forward they both find themselves attracted to the other.

I have to say that I love, I mean I really, really love how Mia Storm has written this series. She takes a topic that most would turn their cheek to and flies with it. The way that the story takes place takes us from what is or could be a very bad topic, to a place where it is all about the love that develops between the characters in the book. We have all had that one thing that we knew we should not want, but could not stay away from it. This is the basic foundation for her stories, but with more feelings and depth added in. I can say for one hundred percent fact that you will find yourself falling in love with this book and the entire series. I will say that you should if you have not already read the first two book to read them first just so you know the previous stories and the characters that are mentioned in the book. It also gives you a bit of information about the town that each person comes from and the atmosphere surrounding them. Again I can say with out any doubt that you will love this story.

Holy shit! This one was my favorite one so far!! It was so so so good! It had the perfect combo of sad past, sexy present and sweet future.
I loved getting to know both main characters, Deilah was such a lovely girl and Branson hot damn was he ever the perfect picture. This is the type of book you wish would have a movie while you're reading it so you could see it play out and not just imagine it in your head.
I'm not gonna go into the plot with details, I'm just gonna say I loved it and it made a really great book.
If you like the author, the genre or if the sinopsis interests you, for sure give the book a go, it will not dissapoint.

I guess there comes a time when you do start to get fed up of reading the same old kind of things. I have enjoyed Mia's books and although the Jail Bait series may be shocking for some, a taboo even, for me I guess it isn't. Having had a relationship when I was 16 with someone who was 8 years older (Please bare in mind in the UK the legal age was 16 then, so it wasn't against the law etc)for 2 years, I guess I don't find them as bad as some might.

This book centres mostly around Delilah, Destiny and Bran. Destiny and Delilah are sisters who look a lot alike, so much so that Bran mistakes Delilah for Destiny's twin sister and she never corrects him otherwise. I think there's a 10 year gap between Bran and Delilah if I remember rightly. Initially the story starts with Bran (I don't want a relationship, I just like to have sex with different women a lot as it takes my mind off of other stuff, its my 'sleep' thing) and Destiny wants more even though Bran tells her its not happening. Step forth Delilah who is younger and her music speaks to Bran on a different level. I wouldn't say this is instalove, but it does come quite close. Its definitely insta-attraction.

Obviously there is more to the story, there's the whole back story drama of Destiny and Delilah, plus you have some back story about Bran and him serving his country. You also hear and see some of the other members from the other Jail Bait books too.

This wasn't a bad read, I just didn't feel it was anywhere near as good as the other books. I did like Bran but Delilah was a bit 'woe is me/I'm not that talented' blah blah blah at times which did my head in. I guess I wanted more, I wanted to fire and exciting of the other books, it just wasn't there for me.

I will continue to read Mia's books as she does write some interesting characters, but Getting Hot, was more like Getting Warm for me... Sorry. 3 stars.

I've been hearing good things about Mia Storm's Jail Bait series, so I decided to take a chance on Getting Hot and I'm so glad I did because it was awesome and I can't wait to read more of this series! I have to say that I was impressed and pleasantly surprised that Ms. Storm managed to make this book hot without making it dirty or smutty, a little angsty but not so much that I couldn't enjoy reading it most of the time, and making it real and meaningful. All of that and more had me loving Getting Hot!!

Lilah is total kicka*s heroine! She's had a hard life and it forced her to grow up. She's so strong and mature that although she's actually only 16, her mind and heart aren't. Lilah doesn't care what everyone thinks of her and she knows her own mind, for the most part anyway. Of course, she doesn't always do the right thing, but she's still amazing and I loved her!

And Branson - I fell in love with him as soon as I found out that he loved Disturbed's Indestructible album and I fell in love with him more and more as I got to know him better! He's so so hot and alpha-y with his possessive/protectiveness, but he's also so sweet that he made my heart ache, swell, and melt. He's loyal, kind, compassionate, and he's always got your back. He's totally sigh-worthy and I want a Bran of my own!

Getting Hot will break your heart, make you ache, and make your blood pound. It made my heart race, made me nervous and had my covering my eyes and mouth sometimes. It's a beautiful, hot and sweet romance with a little mystery and danger to it. Getting Hot was excellent and I loved it!

Getting Hot is a standalone, it's told from Bran and Lilah's POV, and the ending snuck up on me, but it did make sense to me for it leave off there and it does have an HEA.

Hot, sexy, forbidden. Getting Hot is the third book in the Jail Bait series and it can be read as a stand alone. I've read the first book in the series and loved it. I am all about that forbidden taboo love stories.

This story is about Bran and ex-marine working in his family bar, when he meets Destiny new to town, he just looking for one night of fun why not Destiny. Bran is your typical man whore but at least he is upfront and honest about it. But Destiny doesn't wanna give up just yet, she needs a man a good man that could be there for her and her sixteen year old sister. They only have each other, neglected by the people who should have been there, they are doing the best they can. Delilah being a musican goes into the bar her sister works trying to make extra cash on the weekends. Bran mistakes her for Destiny, Delilah corrects him but Bran just assumes they are twins. And he just has to have her.

“No one’s ever looked at me the way you do. I’ve never felt how you make me feel.”

I enjoyed watching these two go back and forth, Delilah battling her feelings for Bran for one because she can't betray her sister and secondly because of her age. Bran trying to understand the bond of sisters and why Delilah won't give him a chance.

If any of what I have said so far about this story interest you I encourage you to read this story.
The reason I enjoyed this story so much is that there is another layer to this story than just the forbidden romance. You'll have to read to find out.
I loved watches these

Holy smokes. If you haven't one clicked the Jail Bait series by this seriously talented author, then you re missing out. They are sexy. They are sinful. They are erotic. They are forbidden. They are taboo. They will make you smile, laugh, cry, and definitely get hot and bothered. This series keeps getting better and better... naughtier and naughtier.

This book right here, hell this series, will be a top favorite of mine for years to come. I will say that Getting Dirty was amazing. It was sexy, sweet, fun, intense, passionate, edgy, and had quite a few twists and turns along the way. Once I started this book, I was glued to the pages and couldn't put it down. I devoured this book whole and it devoured me right back.

This is Branson and Lilah's story. They will make you feel. They will make you believe. These two will leave you panting and breathless at times. Bran is sinfully delicious and Lilah will make you swoon. They will make you believe in love and fate. It is not going to be easy and downright dirty at times but it was so worth it by the end. Not every love story is glitter and rainbows. Their story was complicated, different, and intense but no less beautiful.

I highly recommend this book.

A Super Hot Addition to the Series
This series is seriously addicting. While it is about younger girls falling in love with older men, that author doesn't do it in a skeevy way. It feels just like a love story, a forbidden love true but a love story all the same. The best thing about this book besides the awesome writing, the very well written, very real characters is that it can be read as a standalone without the reader feeling like they are missing out on something. Also you just fall right into the story, feeling like you're in it rather than just reading about it. This story is definitely a page turner, gripping, intense and full of drama and emotion. The steamy moments are very hot. I have read the other books in the series and will continue to do so because i am totally hooked by this author. I think she could write a book on a roll of toilet paper and I would be just as anxious to read that too. I'd just "roll" with it. Ok yeah I just went there, but I just love Mia's writing so much. I can't wait for the next in the series. I was generously provided a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.

When I first heard of this book it sounded really good, but I did not catch the whole thing about the underage relationship in it. So as I read the book I just kept thinking maybe it wont be too bad, like the girl might be 17 and almost 18, so it will be all good. But, nope. This was not the case for Getting Hot, Delilah I think was 15 starting out then turns 16. So most of the time as I read this book I had the internal struggle of morals. Because I have a younger sister and I was trying to look at this from both points of view. Whether it was ok because they loved each other, or I would kill the older guy that my baby sister was with. It was really hard because you cant just say its ok for just the characters in the book and not for a younger sibling or a friend.

I really enjoyed reading the book and learning about the characters. I mean the plot had me hooked pretty early on, and I really liked how it had me thinking well after I had finished the book.It also has me wanting to buy and read the first two books in the series, because I want to see if I can come to an agreement with myself on the morals I keep questioning with this book.

You've got to be crazy not to pick this up!

This one seemed a lot quicker to read, but still very entertaining and an enjoyable read regardless.

Mia Storm brings another twist of forbidden love to the table, the proverbial bread and wine.

Man sees girl, thinks she's hot. Man hits her up, she goes with it. What she knows is something he doesn't. Isn't even aware there is something that he should know. Guess what it is.

The writing was real great, extremely easy to completely get sucked into this amazing storm Storm has created and be submitted to see it through to the very end and still want more.

Right when I got to the end, I wanted to go back and not just read this story, but the first two all over again. Storm's work is definitely not one-night stand material, that's for sure. Mia's books are ones that just have to be read more than once just to satisfy some of your hunger for hot romance and sexy times.

Gah, sexy times, did I really put that?

Overall, I had such a great time read all of Mia's work, especially this one because I was able to finish in one sitting. Every sentence was worth reading, I kid you not.

Getting Hot is my favorite Mia Storm book yet! While the other two books in the series were good, this story not only was good but it really touched me. Bran and Delilah are both damaged souls. Their hearts seem to yearn for one another, longing to heal the other and make them whole again. In the first two books, I was *slightly* bothered by the risque nature of the relationships but Bran and Delilah’s just seems so inevitable that you can’t help but root for them.

My feelings on their relationship were complex. On one hand, Delilah was not of age. However, she is very mature and has been handed a rough card in life that caused her to grow up quickly. Bran, I believe, is the perfect man for her. He has been through a lot and really needs a woman that will understand that a relationship with him won’t be perfect but he will cherish what he has because he has seen the harsh, startling realities of life and humanity.

Once you get past the age difference (which I believe you quickly will), you will enjoy this wonderful love story. It is sweet, sexy, and will make your heart happy. What’s next Mia Storm? I’m ready!
