A good read

Maxwell and Jasmine have a scorching encounter and part ways after agreeing that they’re just looking for a good time. Maxwell reports to his new job and Jasmine is the boss’s daughter and the office manager. Jasmine is cordial but nonchalant about their connection. Maxwell is shocked that she meant what she said when she told him that she wasn’t looking for a man. There’s something about Jasmine that he just can’t get off his mind. His mind is blown when Jasmine appears to have a man. He’s not prepared that he experiences jealousy. He tells Jasmine that he’s interested but she doesn’t feel like he’s a good boyfriend candidate. He finally gets her to go out with him and their relationship grows quickly to love. Maxwell gives up his player ways for Jasmine and he’s happy and content. Issues arise when Maxwell’s past life interferes with his present. Now Maxwell has to prove to Jasmine that she wasn’t wrong to trust him with her heart.
This was a great book. Maxwell has a past which he never denied. He changed for himself and for Jasmine. The man grew up and it was beautiful.

This was an okay read, and yes, you can read it as a standalone without feeling lost.
What worked for me was the plot of the book. The MMC has a very nice redemption arc, and so does the FMC. However, I feel the book is repetitive in some parts (if I took a shot for every time his beard was described!) and not as explanatory in others.
It's 3 stars because it's definitely readable, especially once you get past the first chapter.
This was an okay read, and yes, you can read it as a standalone without feeling lost.

I love this series and I absolutely love the siblings and the people they chose to spend their lives with until I started reading Maxwell. I don't have a problem with him at all because I absolutely love him. My problem is with Jasmine. I wanted to like her but did too much for me personally in this book. She allowed what happened in her past to cloud her judgement in her present. Even after the talk with her sister, she still put Maxwell in the same boat as her ex boyfriend. Maxwell did what single men do, he never led anyone on or gave them the impression that he wanted more from these women. When Jasmine gave Maxwell the criteria for her to go on one date with him, I knew I was done trying to like this character. I was like "girl get over yourself and like Jasmine Sullivan said' " Pick Up Your Feelings!" I wanted Maxwell to find someone worthy of him because Jasmine Roberson was not it. I finished this book off the strength of my love for Maxwell Santana and one of my favorite authors Delaney Diamond. Because honestly Jasmine made me want to throw my Kindle!!!

This was the first book I have read in this series. I will be reading the siblings stories too. Maxwell was a reformed ladies man. Jasmine came with a lot of baggage. Her guard was all the way up because of her past experiences. Maxwell and Jasmines first interaction was as a no strings attached situation. They couldn’t resist the chemistry when they were forced to see each other on a daily basis. I was so upset at Jayson for starting drama because he was jealous. It was a cute love story!

I love the Family Ties series and the Connor-Santana family. I've enjoyed all the books about Maxwell's older siblings and his story was not a disappointed. The youngest Connor-Santana has grown up and come into his own. Excellent read with a great storyline and characters. Enjoyed catching up with the other siblings and Mama Rose and Papa Ben.

So glad it worked out!
So that one night stand led to Maxwell and Jasmine getting their love match on. I like that it was not love at first sight however, there were sparks between them from the first night they exercised the lust that enveloped them. The jealous friend that set Maxwell up peed me off royally yet, he sort of redeemed himself when he confessed what he did to Jasmine. I enjoyed their story very much and it looks like another Connor-Santana wedding is on the horizon. Great job Delaney, your Family Ties series should be made into a TV series for real! What say you Delaney

Maxwell and Jasmine-sexy. Maxwell is a playboy and Jasmine is cautious burned by love lady. They met at lounge (owned by Max's brother-in-law) and have an epic one night stand. Maxwell walks into his new gig as a pediatrician at Bright Future Pediatrics and guess who's the owner's daughter and office manager, Jasmine aka Jay.
Once these two decides to give each other, well really Jasmine giving Max as chance, you watch a beautiful romance unfold. At first I was a little turned off by Jasmine. She has a lot of hang-ups based on one playboy she dated. Her asking Max to apology to three women from his past, I thought was silly but in the end it benefitted Maxwell and his growth as a man.
But we needed some drama and it showed in his BF, Jayson. This man was jealous of his friend's relationship that he sabotaged it by letting a woman into Max's place and his bed. They are on the cusp of 30 and this man wants to continue to throw lavish parties, make money, and bed multiple women. He wanted to be Peter Pan and plan to drag Max along. From there all hell broke loose. This is where Jasmine lost me again. Only a bold man would give you keys to his place and then invite another woman over. If it wasn't for advice from Ethan to Max to keep pursuing Jasmine and Jayson fessing up to what he did without Max's knowledge, they would not have gotten back together. Jasmine needs some therapy.
In the end, another great novel by Ms. Diamond.

Well, the littlest Santana sibling, Maxwell…
He went mostly as I thought he might. What showed up so well; those sincere core beliefs/values about how to treat women in general, and their one, in particular. Even if he was a bit of a player. And a bit of a brat. But being the youngest in a family like his, it was almost destiny.
Santana men never wanted for female company so the role reversal from Jazz after the ONS messed with Max's head in a major way. Like wait, what? A lowkey whole a$$ brat about it..lol!
Jasmine handled the ONS part reasonably. And after the fact well, too. I mean, did Maxwell expect her to run screaming in the streets? However, there a bit of paying for others mistakes being dished out as well.
Also, Jayson….hmmmm
There were rough patches and some real growth opportunities to be had; but I liked this couple together. I liked that they chose a profession of real service with passion and devotion to the littlest among us. And also that love and devotion radiated outward from their families to others as well.
I'm sorry this is the end of this series. I've enjoyed it immensely. All in all, well done!
And seriously….Rose and Benicio just need a novella of their own. I'm just saying…

I enjoyed Maxwell! Twenty-nine-year-old Dr. Maxwell Santana is the last of the Santana-Connor family, His story starts with a sexy encounter with Jasmine Roberson that neither expects to lead anywhere; until they discover they’ll be working together at her father’s pediatric practice. They were both shocked to say the least! Jasmine tried to be cool and indifferent. Their chemistry is definitely there, but I enjoyed watching their relationship develop beyond the physical attraction. Jasmine has some baggage from a bad breakup, while Maxwell has spent most of his life being the confident, attractive single guy who wasn’t looking for commitment. I thought it was interesting to see him have to prove himself to Jasmine, although I did feel she was a little unfair to him by lumping him in with the men who had hurt her. I also enjoyed getting more of Maxwell’s family, especially parents Rose and Benicio, and seeing updates on everyone else. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and a nice way to wrap up the series. I’m a little sad to see this family go and wouldn’t mind getting a few more updates from them! ❤️

Delaney Diamond is one of my go-to author, her latin men series is one of my favorites. If you've never read a book by this author—seriously—what are you waiting for—unicorns to fall from the sky?
Maxwell is a confirmed bachelor, a playboy and he's not looking for—the one. One night while clubbing with his wingman they both see a couple of women they'd like to take home. Maxwell's pick Jasmine and she's not opposed to whatever the evening brings, but tells him she knows the game he's playing and she's not looking for more than one night, which is exactly what Maxwell wants—one night, no strings, no repeats. It's an incredible night and they both decide to stick to the agreement.
Kismet decides to put these two people back in one another lives through work and Jasmine makes it clear, we're not talking about that night. They slowly get to know one another and things go well, until they don't, now Maxwell has to convince Jasmine her faith in his faithfulness was not misguided. Highly Recommended: Read this Book!

Amazing Read!
Maxwell and Jasmine met at a club owned by his family. Maxwell was a smooth player who wasn’t looking for anything serious. Then he sent expensive champagne to Jasmine and her friend’s table. He introduced himself to her. They danced and got all hot and bothered. They ended up at her place. They had hot sex all night long. He started his new job as a pediatrician at Bright Futures Pediatric Clinic. What he was surprised to find out, was that Jasmine was the office manager, and was his boss’s daughter. The memories of that one night came flooding back to both of them. They both had said that night was a one time thing. Needless to say, their feelings took over, Andy they ended up together. Unfortunately, they had a stumbling block along the way, but they eventually got past it! I’m glad things work out between them. I can’t wait to read his parent’s story! Thank you Delaney Diamond! ❤️🔥

Wow, wow, wow! Wonderful book! Could not put it down!
Author Diamond does it again, as swoon worthy Maxwell woos cautious Jasmine. After a bit of rocky start, a one night stand and then finding out they work together, the couple starts to take baby steps.
Jasmine, doesn't trust Maxwell and he really needs to put the work in to gain her trust. She has a very interesting way of making him do so! But Max prevails, the dating is on and before long the couple knows this is something real and that can really last. But friend Jayson almost ruins everything, it takes Max's brother to help him fight for Jasmine.
Visits by all the Family Ties members and the HEA is wonderful. Great writing, plotting and could not put it down! Maxwell, book seven was worth the wait! Wanted more. You will too!

I loved it! Max and Jasmine were made for each other! I knew Jayson was going to be an opp! I've been following this family in other books. And I hate when they end because I get too attached lol! I loved the spark of competitiveness between the two. Great read!

This was a very good book..
Maxwell was young and habituated to carousing with his circle. I'm delighted he's finally come of age. Jaydon, by contrast, was scarcely the type to orchestrate such a scheme. All told, I'm thankful he and Jasmine found their way back to each other.

I loved Maxwell's journey. Jasmine gave him the reality check he needed and a whole lot more. I wish there was another sibling so I can visit the family again. I'll just have to read the series again.

Absolutely love this book!!
OMG, this book is fire! A wonderful read! Lawd Maxwell is hot and spicy. I love, love Maxwell and Jasmine , their chemistry is off the chain but happily ever after is guaranteed! A must read!!

Good one. Jasmine and Maxwell navigate their stated desire delicately after an amazing one night. Surprise circumstances have them working together which makes this so much more entertaining. Good spice. Good story.
