There was a version of the book Kate und Leopold by Andy Green. Basic plot is that due to a time change, Leopold travels through time and appears in New York City. The characters in the book are quite funny and were well written. I'd not heard of Andy Green but he seems to be a clever writer and one that is enjoyable.
If you have seen the screen play of Kate and Leopold staring Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman. The movie is also well written and quite clever. The cast is a hoot and most enjoyable. I recommend both the movie and the book. Both are very entertaining. There is a delightful dog, cute brother and fun people that get along well together.
