The Bourton Series #3
The Inheritance At Bourton
Leah never knew her father. But when she inherits a beautiful old manor in the English countryside, she leaves her dead-end life in the States… and walks into a long-buried family mystery that has the whole village talking.
She can only inherit if she stays. But the gruff caretaker Rowan isn’t making it easy for her. He holds the answer to her burning questions about her father—but he’s infuriatingly tight-lipped.
Immersed in gorgeous woodland trails, rolling farmland, and the lively harvest festival at the local village, Leah must unravel the real reason her mother abandoned this life all those years ago. And by the light of the old library’s fireplace, even Rowan begins to warm to her.
But Leah’s return to the manor forces her to dig deep into her past… and is she ready for what she’ll find?
With heartwarming clean romance, a dash of mystery, and a picturesque English countryside backdrop, The Inheritance At Bourton is a wholesome women’s fiction series that’s perfect for reading on a crisp afternoon with a cup of hot cocoa. Start reading today!

Questions upon question abounds. Leah continues to try to get Rowen to tell about her family, since there is no direct family left to talk to. On her return from shopping in town, she sees an older man of proper English background staring at her as he approaches all but glaring at her then says “You look just like you mother” then storms off without another word, which unsettled her. As she walks through the back yards he notices sheep in the yard which refuse to go back where they came from. Leah calls Rowen and between them they get the sheep back where they belong. The sheep’s owner comes by the next day with muffins to apologize about them getting loose, when Leah finds she knew her mother shortly after her mom n dad were married. The neighbor Edith with the sheep and Leah become friends, and is a source of info about Leah’s family. I received this book free from Ivory Fields and I leave this honest review voluntarily.

Leah has read 2 letters and has a million questions.
Rowan is loosing up and giving tads of information, and Edith(the next farm over) is filling in a lot of blanks.
Great read Ivory.
