Cindy Is Plastic

Lola is young and living on a houseboat with her boyfriend, Mack, and their honorary roommate, Cindy. Lola despises Cindy and wants Mack to get rid of her. It’s uncomfortable to be constantly watched. Cindy is always creeping on them from the closet, joining them for dinner, and even joining them in bed.

For being so full of air, it’s beginning to feel like Cindy is suffocating the couple. Mack doesn’t understand how overbearing Cindy has become, considering she’s only a blow-up doll. When Lola and Mack’s relationship reaches an ultimatum, and Mack’s obsession mounts, Lola leaves the houseboat with the help of a friend.

But Lola can’t move on when questions still linger. Questions that threaten to destroy her and may have killed others. What happened to Mack’s ex? What else has Mack lied about? And why is Lola so afraid of a blow-up doll? After all, Cindy is plastic.

This is top tier shitty boyfriend horror.

The vibes are off in the houseboat, girl. The mildly uncomfortable slowly morphs into down right WTF as you question reality right along with MC Lola. It has to be all in her head, right? Because Cindy is plastic, and plastic is harmless.

Huge thank you to the wonderful people at Grindhouse Press for the ARC. All opinions are my own and given freely.

This book was a wild ride. It was one of those books were you knew, no you KNOW something is off and you cant quite put your fingers on what it is. Which while reading you see the FMC start to really question so much, it makes you question all of it as well. This is one of those books that you can not put it down because it sucks you in from the start and does not let go and will leave you needing more at the end.
