The New York Times bestselling authors of Lessons from the Light offer a new and provocative understanding of heaven and how messages from the afterlife can assist you in the here and now.
We live in a world of near-universal acceptance that once our lives on the earth come to an end we continue to a greater world. Whether that destination is called "Heaven," "Nirvana," or simply "The Other Side," tradition teaches us that there is, in most cases, a fairy-tale ending to life, a place where joy and harmony reigns supreme. Yet, as this book attests there is still more to heaven and earth than is dreamt of in our philosophies.
George Anderson is considered by many to be the greatest medium living today. After more than 50 years of hearing from souls who have transitioned to the world hereafter, he is constantly reminded by those who have passed that our preconceived notions of this life—and the next—aren’t always accurate. The nine stories in this book illuminate times when unusual circumstances such as sudden death, unresolved emotions, abusive relationships, and painful family dynamics, make it necessary for the dead and the living to find new doors to healing.
In session with Anderson, survivors and those who have passed meet again in encounters that are profound, bittersweet, highly-emotional and sometimes, downright, funny. What we learn is that there are little-known spiritual treasures—and lessons to be learned—about heaven and earth that can restore, revitalize, and make new what was once broken.
Life Between Heaven and Earth is an inspiring, thought-provoking, path-changing work, one that affirms that no matter how complicated a circumstance is, resolution, peace and acceptance can be found in deep and remarkable ways.
A Medium Facilitates Meetings Between Souls and People Still on Earth
I have always been fascinated by how a medium facilitates contact between souls and those people left on earth. This was my first book by George Anderson, and I found the format very educational. The book contains nine sessions between either relatives and a departed family member, or in one case between a spirit still residing on Earth and the person close to her.
The book is structured in two parts. First, the story of the living individual is told. This usually includes their relationship with the departed soul. This is followed by an almost verbatim transcript of Anderson's interaction with the spirit. The first section reads smoothly; the readings are somewhat harder to follow because of the repetition.
For me, the most interesting parts were when Anderson comments on how much he learned from a particular reading. In this regard, one of the readings is very unusual in that he is interacting with a spirit who has decided not to cross over yet.
If you are interested in how readings with a medium operate, this is an excellent introduction. It also makes you question your beliefs about the afterlife. The series of readings in this book highlight some of the more unusual facets of the interaction between the here and hereafter.

I couldn't get into this book at all. Probably because I wasn't buying into anything Anderson was selling (if you catch my drift). This book was a chore for me to finish, I couldn't "all that" into his writing style (it isn't my taste), and overall I was bored half-way through.
It has been years since I've read a George Anderson book. I remember his books as being tedious, due to his sessions being repeated verbatim in the books. This new book of his is not as tedious as the old ones, but it's no big improvement. The most interesting parts are the stories told by those who went to Mr. Anderson for sessions, and there was nothing paranormal about those stories, as to why they ended up seeking out a medium. After such a story is told, then the session is described. It's really no more than George Anderson continuously guessing things, which quickly gets dull.
Maybe those sessions might have had meaning for those seeking to contact the departed, but, to the average reader, they will mean nothing. It's like eavesdropping on someone else's counseling appointment. Moreover, concerning new details about "the world hereafter", I'm afraid there is nothing new there, and hardly anything to begin with. Basically, all Mr. Anderson says is people don't instantly become different after they die, and that they continue to change and grow. Also, "the world hereafter" is not a stereotypical Heaven with no problems. That's it, folks. I can't imagine why this book is even being published.

All of us eventually think about what comes after death. George Anderson describes his journey of understanding the hereafter through the “souls” with whom he connects. There are some interesting scenarios described, but the common link is that everyone’s experience is different! These ideas may or may not reflect your personal or religious feelings, but are well worth reading.
A week and I've read all the books written by Mr. Anderson. Part of my journey was to realize that religion is a fiction written by men for their benefit... ultimate power. I came to understand that it's a way to control millions of people for power and money. How despicable. In reading Mr. Anderson's books, I 've found this place that we all go to, even the tricksters. From a young person until now, I knew deep down inside, that no matter what kind of life you live, it was all set in place before we're born. So, if this puke of a life I've lived, gets me to where I found out I'll go....I guess it's been worth it. Thank you Mr. Anderson, from the bottom of my soul. KV.
Book 107/75: Life Between Heaven and Earth: What You Didn't Know About the World Hereafter and How It Can Help You by George Anderson, Andrew Barone. To be honest, I don't know why I bought this book nor choose to read it in the month my grandparents had passed away but it sure was an interesting read. I love the layout of each chapter, how it separated the back story and the sessions with the souls from the other side. I feel curious to go to one of these sessions and hear those thoughts myself of the people I love that have passed. All in all, an intriguing read.
This was an important part in my life to read another book that gives me hope.
The book We Don't Die was given to me bypass a doctor who knew I had a brother who was fighting cancer. He gave the book to the person who was under his care or to the family of their love one suffering. It brought me so much peace. To this day I give out the book to many people who need it along with a Perpetual Mass Card. That way they know prayers help our souls who crossed. Thank you George for sharing your gift. I am paying it forward.
What an amazing, uplifting read! My whole perspective on the afterlife altered dramatically, the content just resonated with me! I recommend this to everyone who questions is there life after death!
Another great George Anderson book. I've valued them all and learned a lot from them, and I appreciate the encouragement and inspiration they've offered me!
