With how much this subject is in the news, this could be a helpful book for the curious kids who want to know what's going on. Without being "preachy", it points out areas that anyone from families to schools and businesses can do better at recycling; however, the twins live in a very... privileged neighborhood. Not all schools or even families will have these options to recycle (speaking from experience, living in rural IL, we didn't have anywhere we could recycle plastic/metal/paper for years without driving for an hour or more, fortunately that has changed, but still lots of room for improvement).
No content notes, the kids focus on awareness not shaming.
