The heartbreaking conclusion of reporter Jacob Frye’s journey into the darkest pockets of war. Frye went to get a story without realizing that he became the story as he slid from non-combatant observer to the hardened role of soldier and learns the most important lesson of that no matter how a war may crush cities and tear planets apart, the resilience of the human spirit's quest for peace can never be stifled, and that courage is the beacon that shines in the darkest hours of humanity.
Keep your head down low as you run with Frye and the warriors of the Alliance through the concrete maze of Emerald City where every LZ is hot, and every avenue is a killzone.
22 Bravo is Frye's recollection of his experiences as a combat correspondent in the distant future. Eventually he must return home and face what he feared more than the war itself...his memories of it.
This author is one of the best when it comes to gritty sci first warfare. His ability to portray the emotion and action through the eyes of a reporter is second to none. One of the most enjoyable and heartwrenching books I have read. You need to give this two book series a try, and we need more books by this author.
