When a lightning strike sends environmental arbitrator Lindsay Five Doves O'Dwyer and her antique Sioux armband back in time to 1893 Wyoming, handsome U.S. Marshal Sted Madden accuses her of stealing the armband from the beloved woman he buried nine months ago, Sted knocked for a loop by Lindsay's uncanny resemblance to the woman he had planned to marry.
But Lindsay needs his help to enact the myth foretold on the powerful armband. With four days until the date history says a deadly outlaw kills Sted, and with the lives of Lindsay's family, past, present, and future on the line, Lindsay and Sted must find a way to trust and believe in each other, if they and their growing love will survive.
Second Time Cowboy is the second in the Lost Mine series of time travel romance novels by Jillie Rivers (each novel can be enjoyed as a standalone story): 1) Just in Time Cowboy (set in 2014) 2) Second Time Cowboy (set in 2015)
Wow! What a wonderful story. I just couldn’t put it down. Every extra minute I got I had to grab a few more pages. The characters were awesome and the story line couldn’t have been more perfect. Starting the next book and hope there will be many more.
I really enjoyed most of this book. It seemed to ramble just a bit in the middle but got back on track and got really exciting at the end! I always am interested as how the author pulls it all together! Good read!
Same story as the first one with variations. This heroine sometimes felt like a petulant little girl. There were times when the plot got dragged down by myths, Indian lore, and what not. I pushed through but it wasn’t the quick read of the first.
