I am currently re-reading this book after having read it and been deeply influenced by it back in the late 70s and 80s when I was a young evangelical feminist (or it is feminist evangelical). Very few resources at that time for thinking women of faith serving as teachers and leaders in the local church. Books by Scanzoni/Hardesty and Virginia Mollenkott were essential to what became a wish to reconcile a spiritual hunger with a feminist thirst.
