Your 7 years old.
Live with both Mum and Dad.
You have an older brother.
You attend school.
Your in love.

Yep that’s right, in love.

But how can you be in love at such a young age?
How at the age of 7 do you know that he’s the one you want to spend the rest of your life with?

Well Lydia does.

Welcome to Lydia and Ruben’s world.

Lydia meets Ruben when she is 7 years old. Becoming friends with her older brother Lucas, Lydia spends as much time as she can with her older brother and his new best friend.

But 4 years down the track, Ruben needs to leave.
He can’t stay.
He must escape.
But Lydia doesn’t understand why.
Ruben promises Lydia that he’ll be back.

That promise is broken.

Lydia is broken.
She’s hurting.
She misses him.
Growing up without him there is torture.

But life must go on.

But how does Lydia get through?
What struggles does she face?
What will she do without Reuben no longer there?

You will just have to read Fake to find out.

Fake is a brilliant read. It had us completely gripped from the prologue. We honestly couldn’t put it down.

It’s raw, edgy, confronting, heartbreaking and breathtaking. It’s a story about kids just simply having to grow up too quick.

Lydia. What can we say. We loved her from the start. Full of life, smart and sassy who we watched grow from a 7 year old girl with a horrible upbringing, who then turned into a beautiful, strong woman.

And Ruben……Hot, sexy as sin, with a beautiful heart that everyone could fall in love with.

We loved both Lydia and Ruben.
We simply loved their story.

Thank you D Breeze for giving us an amazing read in Fake. We loved, loved, loved it.

A definite 5 star read.

My Review
Falling in love with your brothers best friend is a hazardous persuit at the best of times, add in the fact that you're 7 years old and the object of your affections unceremoniously sods off leaving you with a solemn (and ultimately unfullfilled) promise that he'd return...and you have the makings for some serious issues.
Lydia Romero knows that promises mean nothing, in her short life she's seen more than most people should and yet, she's spent her entire childhood being sheltered and lied to by the people that love her most. Just because you see events...doesn't mean that you really open your eyes to them, she learnt early that if you accept the good and don't ask too many questions you can be happy...to a point.
After Reuben's lie is discovered (i'm not telling you what he lied about...go buy this book! you won't be sorry) her world comes crashing down around her and she has a lot of tough self reflection to do. She realises that sometimes its harder to forgive than it is to walk away and that sometimes you need to actually face the truth and see things from outside of your own bubble.
This story gets into your heart, you cant help feeling for the characters and wanting to know more about their back stories (which i've justttt discovered that we can in the other two London books, guess what this reviewer will be reading this weekend!)
I have fallen head over heels with the Brent brothers and with Ms Breeze. So if you're looking for a book as funny as it is complex...then this is the book for you! I couldn't recommend it more highly.

I was given a ARC copy for a honest review and let me tell you I am going to be honest and say Wow what a book

I loved Lydia and Ruben

There is one scene in this book that had me howling with laughter oh who am I kidding I giggled most of the way through

But that dose not mean that this story dose not have depth and meaning because it dose I even cried like a baby at one point with the emotion I read on the pages

To write a series is hard to make sure you follow and get everyone else story right in each book times lines right it's hard and D Breeze has captured that element perfectly

Half of the book was written in the past and then the rest in the now and I really liked that.

Lydia has Loved Ruben since she was a little girl and Ruben in his own way has loved Lydia

But secrets are never good they will destroy and corrupt everything he has worked hard for with Lydia but fate interviews and takes the decision away from Ruben and then it's the aftermath

I loved this book and hope Lucas gets his story

you have a passion for writing and your work is amazing I love it you have a avid fan now that will follow all you work

This book was fantastic and I love read it from the start. It is one of those books that kept me up at night and I ended up losing the battle with sleep before I finished which was gutting but it was so worth it when I picked it back up again. Ruben and Lydia are amazing characters and you can definitely read this as a standalone because I haven’t read the first two but after this I have most definitely going to read them. I have an unhealthy obsession with the Brent brothers. That includes Max and Jackson so I have to read their stories. Ruben is the youngest of the brothers and has been through lots of things that teenage boys shouldn’t go through. Now he is living with his brothers and they are living a good life and one where money isn’t an object. Lydia has been suffering for her whole life and when her brother ends up going to jail, he phones Ruben to ask him to look out for his sister. This is when Ruben comes back into Lydia’s life and her life becomes totally different to what she imagined. It is awesome and I loved every minute. Can’t wait to read more!

I've just finished reading this, so if I ramble I apologize.
It's awesome and I loved it!
This is the first book by D. Breeze that I have read and it certainly won't be the last.
I loved the story-line of how they loved each other from a young age but got separated and then found each other again.
The story flowed so brilliantly that I was glued to the pages and flew through it in a few hours, well actually 5 hours, but I try not to count.
The characters are awesome and sexy.
I loved how it was written from both POV's so you got insight from both characters and felt all of the emotions that they were feeling through-out their journey.
A beautiful, hot story that I recommend to everyone that loves a good book to get their teeth into.

I received an copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion…….

****4.5 Love it Stars****
The story of Lydia and Ruben is a sweet story about first loves and young love.

It is sad story of heartbreak, being left in a life of crap, and losing your first love.

It is a hot story about sexy times with a hot guy.

It is an infuriating story about lies and their consequences.

Fake is a roller coaster of feelings that will have you laughing, cringing, changing your panties and smiling sweetly. I love the characters and the dynamic between them. I can't wait to read the other books but it is by no means required to enjoy Fake.

Thanks D Breeze for a great story!! :)

I really loved this book. It sucked me in and I didn't want to put it down. Ruben and Lydia meet as children and go through some tradgedies. I love seeing their love blosom and grow but can they overcome the past and the lies. This book had me teary eyed in parts and laughing so hard in other parts. The sex scenes are very steamy. I loved all of the characters in this book, but Ruben is my new BBF. It can be read as a stand alone but the characters from the previous books are included in this one so you get to see what is happening in their lives.

Fake by Danielle Breeze

***Hold it! This review might contain minor spoilers so reading will be at your own risk! *winks*

Okay, let’s talk about this book’s cover first. Fudge! Sexy backside! Whoever chose this cover art is wise!

Concept is very good. A little bit—okay not bit, weird to me. 7 year old kid? In love? Already? Seriously? I do not believe it but truth be told, it is interesting. Makes you want to keep reading. Well, I enjoy challenging myself. So why not?

Whilst, the writing is almost perfect; The author’s writing made sure you will keep reading. The character shaping of the main characters were deficient of proofs, proper assigning of emotions and behaviour and they just did not fit with what had been told in their story. They are the main characters of the story but the secondary characters caught my attention more. *ehem* Jackson!

1. Nosy Jace He appeared too nosy. He’s a friend but still an outsider to their relationship; his confrontation is too early for the story and too early for his position to meddle. It bothered me for some reasons.

2. Jackson’s Scene!: His confrontation with Lydia is probably my favourite scene in this book. He was the culprit behind making the story actually move forward. His speech was one hell of a real talk—nailed it. He totally voiced out everything I’ve been shouting at Lydia the entire time I was reading.

3. Annoying Lydia, ANNOYING!!: Drat! Lydia is an amazing character in this book. She’s so amazing at being a brat! She’s insensitive and a smug! I really do hate this kind of heroines. They either flat out ruin my reading experience or clouded my overall opinion about the book. She’s also a big damn hyprocrite! She always says she loves Ruben and blah blah blah then the moment she saw Jackson—she pointed out he’s hot and yummy! Damn, woman, your inappropriateness and annoyingness is all over the place!!

Now, that must be because of the pacing. It went well nicely at first and when it came to the middle of the book; things got pretty dull and I feel stuck at gagging and shouting at Lydia. Then when the story got juiced again, things just seems so rushed to me.

Their chemistry is undeniably good, though. The bed scenes are steamy and hot. The author really knows how to write scenes like this. It's not lecherous. It's just simply romantic.

Now as for the people wondering if I'll recommend it? Yes, I will still recommend it because this is, despite all the things I said, a decent read. But if you read it and feel the same way I did, I never said I didn't warn you. kinda!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved reading Ruben's story I was so intrigued by him after what I'd already read in previous books.

Ruben is the youngest of the Brent brothers and as we know from the previous books in The London Series they didn't have the best start in life, but years later thanks to their older brother Jackson rescuing them thing have definitely changed.

Lydia Romero was Ruben's childhood bestfriends little sister, she crushed on him from the moment they met. Growing up Lydia thought she had the perfect life with parents that loved her and gave her everything she wished for, then one night Ruben leaves with the promise he will come back and everything she thought she knew and believed in is taken from her. Years later Ruben get a surprise call, Lydia is in danger and needs his help how will she react to seeing him again after all this time and how will she feel when she finds out how different his life is now can will Rbuen and Lydia get their HEA.
A great series from D Breeze and I'm excited to see what she gives us next.

I liked the synopsis and the idea of what the lie was had me really intrigued. Unlucky in some respects then that the book did not capture me as much as book 2 in the series. I think it was how long they had loved each other and how long it took them to see it as adults. It is well written and a good story it just did not capture me the same way as the Resist did. But that is not to say i will not attempt another read at some point in the future and change my thoughts on it
