The mysterious and intimidating lone wolf, Z, has returned to Los Lobos. Descended from a long line of gifted yet secretive shifters known as Infiltrators, his people are the spies of the shifting world, rarely seen and harder to track.
Ripley Greystone has a big problem—her pack is Alpha-less and a local coyote band knows it. The safety of her pack rides on trusting Drew, the new Alpha of the Black Hills Wolves. But, admitting the reason for needing his help isn’t something she’s quite ready to do.
Drew senses there’s more to Ripley’s request to join his pack than what she leads him to believe. There’s only one way to know for sure—send an Infiltrator to spy on Ripley and her pack.
Forced to infiltrate her pack to discover the its hidden secrets and protect it from the coyotes determined to claim the she-wolves for themselves, Z finds more than he expects—all the while fighting the need to claim Ripley as his mate.
Award Winning Author, Dominique Eastwick grew up a US Navy Brat, so if there was a Naval base that was probably home. She currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, two children, crazy lab and lazy cat.
Dominique's love of reading started when she was told to read TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in high school. A book that opened her eyes to the joys of reading and entering into the world of the author. To this day she ranks this book as her favorite.
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review
The cover is definitely awesome and attracts me to all the shiftery goodness it contains :)
I have not read any of the Black Hill Wolves books until this book :) This is a multi-author series. I’m not sure where in the series this one fits in, but it can definitely be read at any time :) This is for adults only due to the steamy content. It is novella length and about 90 pages. I really like Dominique’s writing style because I connect easily with the characters and get pulled right into the story just the way I like it. My books are my escape from reality. I’d love to live among the Black Hills Wolves. I really like Z and all of the Greystone pack. I hope there are more stories regarding Ripley’s pack and Z’s family too!! I’m definitely going to have to check out more of this series to see if they are all this good :)
I highly recommend this book to wolf shifter lovers and Dominique’s fans.
'Z' the werewolf spy and Ripley. I listened to this on audio and Lane Baldwin does a nice job. It's short and sweet, set in the ongoing world of the 'Black Hills Wolves' (multiple authors). I ended up really liking this one. Z has spent decades emotionally removed from life since his wife died. He is part of a caste of shifter wolves that have special powers, (like almost instant shifts and lack of scent) allowing them to make exceptional spies. Nobody knows much about him, and he likes it that way, but his opinions will change when he meets Ripley. Ripley's pack is in dire need of stronger wolves to protect them from a gang of coyotes. But Z doesn't know this at first and isn't sure if Ripley can be trusted. It's a pretty low angst tale but entertaining and I plan to read more by this author.
Z only trusts a very few, Drew alpha of the Tao pack, Ryker his enforcer and Gee the bartender. Other than that he trusts only his own special blend of wolf known as the Infiltrators. Infiltrators can defend, they can scout, and in extreme cases, fight, but their main goals were to act as information recon for other packs. Infiltrators are the boogey men of shifter races. Z’s the son of an alpha but has no aspirations to the job himself. Luckily pack alpha is an elected position in his own pack. He’s gone from the Tao pack a lot in his position as an Infiltrator. Most of the Tao pack doesn’t really know him and appear to be wary of him. He has the ability to create protective wards, conceal his scent and sneak his way in anywhere. Finally he’s an alpha wolf you don’t want to mess with when justice comes your way. Years ago Z had been married. For almost four decades since her death, Z’s been content to be alone and work on his own. One look at Ripley’s picture and his content flew out the window. So when Drew asks him to investigate Ripley’s pack he turns right around and heads out the door to meet his future.
Ripley Greystone runs Grey Wolf River Rafting. She much prefers the great outdoors to being stuck in the office managing things. Ripley seems to be the only one in her pack who saw the world as dangerous and the people in it not always kind. Ripley wasn’t so understanding or gullible. She couldn’t afford to be— she has the pack’s safety to think about. With a local coyote pack alpha chasing her tail she’s been forced to look to the Tao pack for help. She never expected them to send someone to infiltrate her pack. When Ripley met Z she couldn’t trust her instincts with the man she perceives as human. Granted, those same instincts were telling her to rip his clothes off and ride him until she couldn’t walk but something wasn’t quite right either.
The action gets under way when Z and Ripley discover coyote tracks all over the campgrounds. Z has his hands full trying to discover Ripley’s secrets while trying his damnedest not to jump the she wolf he knows is his mate. At the same time Ripley has to hold back her own arousal when she can’t trust Z’s intent. When they finally do come together things are positively up against the wall scorching hot. Solving Ripley’s pack’s dilemma is a challenge but one these two are definitely up for. I really enjoyed this novella. It was action packed, steamy and a great addition to the Black Hills Wolves series. I look forward to seeing more in the series by this author.

Ripley needed protection for her pack. Z worked for the Tao alpha and was sent to find out what he could about her. From the first time he saw her , he knew she was his mate. This book is full of action and some pretty hot sex scenes. It is a well written story and a must read

Ripley Greystone seeks out the help of the Black Hill Wolves. Drew, the pack alpha, questions her motives and sends, Infiltrator and Lone Wolf, Z, to discover her intentions.
Infiltrating Her Pack is full of excitement and mystery. It is a wonderful addition to the Black Hills Wolves Series.
I really like Z’s character. I enjoyed the unique concept behind the Infiltrators. He is very stealthy and mysterious.
Ripley Greystone is a worthy heroine. She cares about her pack and does what she needs to protect them. I love that her pack runs a river rafting company. My family has gone rafting on numerous occasions. The rafting scenes are all well done and believable.
The coyotes were interesting antagonists. They were crafty and desperate. The plot was well constructed and believable. I enjoyed the resolution of the story.

This is my introduction to the series. I liked the idea of Infiltrators who have the ability to get into areas without the knowledge of others to investigate the packs. It is a new idea to me and I like the idea of these unique shifters performing investigations across the world and policing the packs.
Z is a real intriguing character from the very beginning. He is mysterious and you don't know about his background until he chooses to reveal information. He does have a good sense of humor that is revealed in his teasing of the bear shifter about his honey addiction. His conversations with his sister and brothers makes me very interested in learning more about his family.
Ripley is quiet around non-pack. She tends to keep secrets and be suspicious of others. She has had a lot of responsibility on her shoulders and Z raises her concerns as well as her desires. They have an immediate chemistry that can't be denied and they have to unite to resolve Ripley's issues. Z's job may be a hard sell for her and prevent the kind of relationship she wants from being successful. They have to find a way to make it work for both of them,
I was able to jump right in but I am definitely interested in checking out the other books in the series. It is interesting to have different authors for the books. The author did a great job of introducing the characters and developing a strong storyline very quickly. The action doesn't stop whether it is of a professional or more personal nature. I finished it really quickly because I wanted to see what happened.
Infiltrating Her Pack by Dominique Eastwick is book 20 in the multi-author written Black Hills Wolves series. This book tells the story of Z and Ripley Greystone.
Ripley's pack is in need of a Alpha. The local coyote band knows it and are determined to claim the she-wolves for themselves. To save her pack she asks Drew, the new Alpha of the Black Hills Wolves for help. Drew assigns Z the task of infiltrating her pack to discover the its secrets and protect it from the coyotes.
This is the first book of Ms. Eastwick's that I have read. I found her writing style to be fluid and strong. Her characters are interesting and well developed. I enjoyed reading this book.

I have enjoyed every eBook from the Black Hills Wolves series that I’ve read, and Ms. Eastwick’s Infiltrating Her Pack is no exception.
The heroine, Ripley Greystone, is independent and strong. She also knows when to ask for help. This characteristic really appealed to me. Heroines are often written as either needing someone to save them and completely helpless or smart but too stubborn to admit they need help. Sometimes, they don’t, but, when you’re talking about shifter novels, particularly wolves, leading a pack without an alpha is sure to attract other unscrupulous packs.
Z is mysterious and hot. What more do you need from a hero? (I’m kidding.) He cares, but can’t get too close to anyone because he’s an Infiltrator. These are special shifters with special powers who help ensure that rogue alphas don’t stay in power, among other things.
Although this is a novella, the characters are vivid, likable (or not, depending on the character), and believable. Ms. Eastwick does a wonderful job setting the story and immersing the reader in the world. I could see Z’s barren room, feel the tension in Gee’s bar when he walked in, and imagine riding the rapids in the raft.
The book would’ve been perfect if Ripley and Z had met immediately. I like jumping into the romance/tension from the get go. (Talk about old school. LOL) I understand how a later meeting fit in the plot, and how meeting sooner wouldn’t have worked, but I still had that craving. However, when they did meet, sparks flew, their hormones kicked it, and it was worth the wait.
This is my first book by Ms. Eastman, and I’m happy to say I’ll be adding this author to my list of TBR pile.
Infiltrating Her Pack by Dominique Eastwick is the 20th book in the multi-authored Black Hill Wolves series. I like that even if you do not follow the series you can pick up each book and not be lost. I have read a handful from this series and I really like Ms. Eastwick’s take on the Los Lobos pack. In this book we meet Z. Z yes that is his name or the only name he will answer too I might say. Z is an infiltrator. He has special abilities that allow him to be a werewolf version of James Bond spying. I am huge Bond fan so I was curious to see how Z would take up such a roll. He is smart, funny, and very intelligent. All traits that help him. He also loves passionately. Enter in Ripley. She has had to step up and be the Alpha of her pack. She is not really thrilled about it, but she will do what she has to do. Z is trying to find out if her pack is a threat, what he gets is a love of a lifetime. I liked the pack dynamics from this story. I also like learning about a new kind of wolf the infiltrators. As far as how does this book stand up to the rest of the series? I would say it holds its own, and ads passion and love to an already exciting series. I hope to read many more in the future, I love these wolves and the women they love.
Infiltrating Her Pack (Black Hills Wolves, #20) by Dominique Eastwick
Ripley Greystone and her pack need protection. She goes to Drew, the Alpha of Tao pack, but she won't give any information, so he turns her down.
Drew knows something is seriously wrong with Greystone pack, but without her giving him information, he has no idea of what. He wants to know what is wrong, so he calls on Z.
Z is an infiltrator. Infiltrators have some extra tricks that most shifters don't. He isn't a member of the Tao pack, but he helps them out when they need it. He no sooner returns from a mission when he is told that Drew wants to talk to him. Drew wants him to infiltrate the Greystone pack and find out what is going on.
The Greystone pack runs a river rafting tour business. Z schedules an overnight tour so he can get a feel of what is going on. He expected some trouble of some kind, what he didn't expect was to find his mate. Due to Z being able to hide his scent, his mate thinks he is human. That is only one obsticle to get past.
Coyotes, no dominate males and no Alpha are going to be a bit harder.
Z. You know you're a badass if you just go by a letter. The thing is, Z can back it up. He's an Infiltrator. He's the guy called in to handle situations all over. The little observation tests he gives Drew are funny. Z has closed himself off from everything except his job, since the death of this mate years before. She wasn't his true mate, but he loved her and he doesn't want to feel that loss again. Drew asks Z to investigate a situation involving Ripley. Will this be just another job for Z or will his life be changed forever?
Ripley asked Drew for help, however she wasn't willing to share all the details. Of course, Drew declines because he needs to protect his pack and can't do that when Ripley is holding back important information. Z visits Ripley at her pack's business. He immediately notices there are no Dominates in the Pack, but the Betas are strong. The other thing he notices right away, Ripley is his true mate. How can Z keep Ripley safe, help her pack, and have his HEA with his soul mate? Will Ripley and her pack find a new home within Drew's pack? Read the story and find out.
This is the second Black Hills wolves book that I have read and I was unaware until know that the series was written by a collaboration of authors. I was able to read this as a stand alone story but I am eager to go back and start from book 1. I like being able to see characters from previous stories and see how they interact with the characters of focus. Z is a mystery, I have never encountered another shifter with his abilities or purpose and the secrets that surround his kind made my imagination run wild. His character screams Alpha and danger but I enjoyed watching him interact with those he called friends even if he really never acknowledges that term. Ripley gave off an Alpha vibe to me even if she was labeled a beta. She was a strong character in both body and spirit, protective of her pack and a good match for Z. The story was well written, easy to read, flowed smoothly and made me laugh. I just loved the twins and can see them playing some amusing roles in future tales. I look forward to seeing what comes next as the Black Hills wolves are never boring.
I was given a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Holding it together without an Alpha The Greystone pack has been without a true Alpha for several years, going into hiding when the old Alpha of the Black Hills Wolves tried to dominate their pack. The new Alpha sent in Z to infiltrate the pack and find out why they came seeking help but unwilling to say why. But Z finds more then he bargained for because he finds his mate. There is action and adventure in this well written self-contained story.

Wow, this is the first time I have read a book from this author and I was very impressed with the storyline and the way the characters flowed so smoothly. I will definitely be looking for more books from her.
Z is the boogey man that can get into a pack undetected that parents tell their pups about. He has very special abilities. What he never expected was that after living alone for decades he would find a soul mate. Will she understand after learning about him?
Ripley never thought she would feel the pull from a human, but he makes her feel things that just aren't normal after just moments of seeing him. Who is this stranger and will he be able to save her pack from the evil that wants them.
Mystery and a passion that can't be denied pulls these two together and there is no thought that they belong together.
Awesome story, I loved it! Kuddos Ms. Eastwick!

Infiltrating Her Pack (Black Hills Wolves) by Dominique Eastwick This is one beautiful love story between two wolf shifters. The kind of story that makes you feel happy all over when you finish reading it. The book has a few laughs in it too. Z is a infiltrator, and just got back from a job. He goes and talks with the Alpha of Los Lobo, Drew. He tells Z about a woman that came and asked for protection for herself and her pack. She wouldn't give any details, so Drew had to turn her down. Drew was worried so he ask Z to check out Ripley Greystone and The Greystone pack . Z is very attracted to Ripley when Drew shows Z picture of her. Will the sparks fly. It is a well written book with a sweet ending, but this couple has a lot to go though to get there. This book was given to me for a honest review.

Lone wolf and Infiltrator Z, has returned to Los Lobos. His been asked by the new Alpha of the Black Hills Wolves to check up on Ripley Greystone. She has asked the Alpha for help but not giving him the answers he needs he turns her away. But Drew senses there's more to Ripley's request for protection of the Greystone Pack and sends Z to spy. Z finds more than trouble with the coyotes, more than he ever expected to find!
This was an enjoyable story. The author had an interesting take on shifters with the infiltrators, which I really liked. The story had action and romance and the characters were likable. It was a easy read, easy to follow, and had a good balance of everything. However, I do think that the characters lacked chemistry and the storyline could have been stronger, but saying all that I still enjoyed the story!
Great short and awesome addition to the Black Hills! Z is a lone wolf, and he likes it that way, in his line of work it is best if he works alone and doesn’t make friends, after all he’s an infiltrator. But Z’s lonely life is about to get a makeover, when Drew from the Tao pack asks him to check out a female who was looking for help but wouldn’t give him any info to go on, making him very suspicious. Z agrees but finds much more than he is expecting, first off she’s not a threat, but Ripley has no alpha and is having trouble with a pack of coyotes trying to take her pack. Not to mention Ripley is also Z’s true mate. Given his packs nature he is forbidden to become alpha to the Greystone pack (Ripley’s family) but he can and does make sure his new family (yup they did the mate the thing ) is protected. Highly recommend! **Book received in exchange for an honest review**
Z is an Infiltrator that watches the Pack in the shadows and every once in a while he has to intervene. Z is helping Drew make sure he doesn't have anyone challenging him while he's trying to get the Tao Pack on the right track. Now Z is on his way to find out what Ripley is trying to do when she came and ask Drew to help. Is she trying to set them up or is she truly in some kind of trouble. The Greystone Pack has been off the grid for decades and people thought they died out. Z did not expect to be face to face with his true mate. He gave up on love a long time ago and now Ripley is getting under his skin. Will they be able to find a way to work out their differences before the coyotes come a knockin?
This is the first book I've read in this series (and the first from this author). Z is an Infiltrator who is sent to investigate a previously unknown wolf packs request to have Drew, Alpha of the Black Hills pack, as their new Alpha. Ripley, beta of the Greystone Pack, is upset when Drew turns down her request to be their new alpha. They are being terrorized by a group of coyotes and she's not sure how long they can continue to hold them off. When Z meets Ripley, he is stunned to realize she's his mate and he's determined to help her pack anyway he can.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in the Black Hills wolves series. *An ARC was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.*
Z just Z is the James Bond of Shifters. The thing of legands, the things shifter parents used to talk about to get their children to listen. Well maybe but that's not what he's really like. Okay so maybe a little. He is able to infiltrate and screw up a bunch of shifters with out them ever knowing he had been there. Asked by the Alpha of the Tao pack to check out the Gretystone Pack. Ripley Greystone was requesting assistance but wouldn't give any other information to Drew to explain why. Well Z finds more than he was bargaining for he found his Mate! It was a great story! I really enjoyed the touch of humour along with the suspense and well the hot and spicy exchanges between Z and Ripley weren't to bad either (Okay they were hot)! I received an ARC for my honest review
A shifter romance of adventure, sneaky coyotes, and a possible budding romance in the crisp cool air. Ripley is on a mission to save her pack. Not having any dominate pack mates is a pain. But they are a great pack resource for strong betas and omegas. So going into hiding was the only way to save the pack. But having sneaky coyotes shifters trying to get into her pack leaves her no choice to ask for help.... Z thought he really had it all. The job of his life and a small family. His lover has since passed away in fights that they will get into with enemies. He wasn't looking for anyone. But Alpha Tao has a mission for him. To find out what the River Wolf pack is hiding. What what Z finds will turn everything he has known upside down.
Z is an infiltrator it's like the boogie man of the werewolves.
Ripley is the head of the Greystone Pack since her father Died so to save the pack they went into hiding. But with a danger they can't handle, Ripley has asked another alpha for help.
Z has been sent to find out what's going on there and why she asked for help.
This is my first time reading one of Eastwick's book. It's really good. Interesting, great characters, action, drama, and great storyline. I really enjoyed reading it. I would call it a great read for any wolf shifter romance lover. I am going to have to see what else she wrote.
Book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Dominique Eastwick. This is from Black Hills Wolves Book 20.
Ripley Greystone has been trying to deal with her pack having no alpha for a while but the enemy is closing in on them. Z is an Infiltrator and has been helping Drew off and on. He is sent to find out more about Ripley but what he finds is more then he expected, his mate.
This book has a great story line and wonderful characters for any reader to enjoy. The author gave the characters very good interaction.
This is for any paranormal romance book lover who likes action.
A delightful surprise. I’ve not read this author before and wasn’t sure from the blurb how this was going to fit in with the Black Hills Wolves. But the author made it work and we have fun while she does. I love watching to strong individuals fall for each other. True these wolves have the chemical reaction from finding their “True Mate” but that only gets them together. Making it work is the fun part. I got a kick out of the secondary characters as well.
Ripley's pack has been in hiding since her father died. They need an alpha's protection to keep the coyotes from trying to take over, but trusting anyone does not come easy. Z was sent in to gather information on the pack. That's what he does. He was not expecting to find his mate. He is suppose to remain neutral, but he will protect his mate no matter what.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Gifted a copy for review This is the first work of art I am reading from Dominique and I must say bravo. I loved every minute of this story and never wanted it to end. The characters were so much fun and sassy through the whole story. I really hope to see more from this pack and all their visiting friends. I will be re-reading this story again.
This was the first book I read from this author and now I am going to have to go and get the rest of her books to read. I really liked this book. The strong females in here was a delight and then in comes the man to save everything. A really really great book. I recieved this ARC for an honest review.
