I really enjoyed Taking a Chance on Love. I admired Chance for stepping up and accepting the unexpected responsibility of baby Peyton. He truly showed what it means to take on responsibility when life throws you an unexpected curveball.
I enjoyed watching Chance and Shannon navigate their new circumstances while discovering love along the way. A sweet romance with heart, faith, and new beginnings.

a beautiful read based on second chance at love and new commitments
Initial thoughts:
This was such a sweet, clean romance with all the feels. At its heart, it’s a story about second chances, healing, and finding love when you least expect it.
I also enjoyed how faith is beautifully woven throughout the story, adding an extra layer of hope and meaning to this already heartwarming romance. It really felt like a reminder that even after heartbreak, there can still be something beautiful waiting on the other side.
Book overview:
Chance Larson suddenly finds himself with a whole new responsibility when he is made the guardian of his late best friend’s two-month-old baby boy, Peyton.
As a successful ranch owner and widower, Chance is used to his life being a certain way. He certainly wasn’t looking for love, and he definitely wasn’t expecting to suddenly have a tiny mouth to feed with absolutely no experience or warning!
But when life throws you lemons, sometimes you just have to figure out how to make lemonade.
Meanwhile, recently divorced Shay is ready for a fresh start. After her marriage ends and she is made redundant from her job as a paediatric nurse, she finds herself wondering what comes next.
Her friend Destynee, a doctor and colleague, recommends her for a live-in nanny position with her brother, who has suddenly found himself responsible for caring for his best friend’s baby boy, Peyton.
Looking for a new beginning, Shay agrees to give the job a one-month trial and leaves the big city of Atlanta behind for a completely different kind of adventure in a small Montana town.
What she doesn’t expect is to fall head over heels for baby Peyton… and perhaps find herself falling for his handsome legal guardian too.
This was such a hopeful, feel-good story about starting over, opening your heart again, and discovering that love can find you in the most unexpected places. I really enjoyed watching Chance and Shay navigate their new circumstances and slowly realise that maybe this second chance at happiness is exactly what they both needed.

A beautiful read about faith, love, family, and second chances. Chance Larsen is overwhelmed when he learns that his recently deceased friends leave him custody of their two-month-old baby. I run a ranch. I don't have time or the capacity to take care of an infant, what do I do? After speaking with his sister, she has a solution.
Shay has fallen victim to job cuts at her hospital, while going through a divorce. This can't be my life, she wonders! Needing a job and running out of options, she takes her bestie up on the offer to help her brother temporarily with the baby in Montana. 😮
Although both Chance and Shay are dealing with difficult situations in their lives, the attraction and chemistry is instant upon meeting. There is push and pull as Chance is not pulling his weight with getting to know the baby and bonding with him. However, Shay's presence on the ranch is quickly changing him from grumpy to tolerable, and everyone notices. Shay is also developing feelings for Chance, but she doesn't know how he feels about her. Sometimes you have to get out of your own way and let God work things out! A sweet story! ❤️👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

This was a nice reading experience for me. Chance and Shay were good together coparenting Peyton together before they even became a couple so they really were at team after the fact. I would have liked to have read about Chance returning to church after God blessed him with a family and overflowing love. This didn’t really categorize as a Christian genre book to me but more as a clean romance book because of Chance drinking and them living together before being married that was glossed over. I would have also liked to know what career path that Shay decided to take or if she decided to be a stay at home mom. It seems as though it’s going to be at least three more books with the sisters because it didn’t say who the man was who Destynee brought to the wedding nor partnered with nor what was going on with Karma and Tyler. It would be nice to get follow up books on Destynee, Karma, and Kismet.

I did like the story and the author was new for me. The story was a little slo in my opinion. Story happens within a time span of a little over a year. Both major characters, Chance and Shay, had to work through their own personal situations. Grief f (cancer death & tragic car crash) or one and divorce & mental abuse for the other. Neither situations are easy to overcome, and they handled them in their own way & time.
I loved both characters! Chance was a brooder! Loved their chemistry! Loved how they stood firm on their feelings. Shay didn't pull any punches or hold back her observations on how detached Chance was with baby Peyton. Shay was the symbol of light, love, and life.
Both Shay and Chance were able to bring healing to each other.

Taking A Chance On Love
Short and sweet! What's not love especially when two people who have been heartbroken find love again.
Chance was thrust into parenthood after his best friends were killed, and Shay was at a crossroads after losing her job and getting a divorce. Two lost souls who needed each other.

The author is newer, and her works are growing on me.
The angst was minimal and the undercover activities were miniscule....and I have no complaints. The story is a slow burn with a purpose.

This book was an amazing read. This book caught my attention from start to end. I hope it will have part 2 or spin off in future.
