This is a really good book. And I don’t say that because the events take place in Tallahassee, my home for 28 years. Or that my name is in the acknowledgements for my role in reviewing draft chapters. This is an interesting, suspenseful story that provides a lot of insight into judges, lawyers, the law and the judicial system in Florida.

Terry writes well and, due to his day job as a trial judge, has a good command of the interesting details of cases and the process by which crimes are handled by the prosecuting attorneys and defense lawyers. There is also an interesting subplot about domestic abuse.

Terry Lewis is a gifted writer and was able to hide who done it to the very last few pages. I have enjoyed all of his books and am proud to be a friend of such a talented writer.
