Waterfall Kisses

“Every fantasy...” he gasped. “Every single one was nothing compared to that...”
When Charlotte Page first met Leo Westbrook, she was a shy, skinny teenager on the verge of becoming a woman. The moment the naked, chiseled Adonis mistakenly walked into her room, she was lovestruck. Leo was perfect in her eyes, and he proved it by helping create a billion-dollar business with Charlotte's brother.

Even before he became a billionaire, Leo always had women throwing themselves at him. But the only woman he really wanted was the one he couldn’t have. Because Charlotte was his best friend and business partner’s little sister, he couldn’t afford to let her get too close. Yet he found himself unable to resist her. With each passing day, her charms threatened to overcome his defenses.

After a decade of being his friend's blushing, stuttering little sister, the man of Charlotte's dreams finally noticed her. After one tropical kiss and a night of passion, her fantasy finally seemed to be coming true. However, when a lie from Leo's past caught up with him, it prompted her to question everything she thought she knew about the man she loves.

Leo always knew that being with Charlotte wasn’t meant to be. Even if she could forgive him for his decade-long deception, he knew it would be better for her if he walked away. Yet sometimes, love is stronger than lies. Will Charlotte and Leo find a way to be together, or will they be left with nothing but memories of their waterfall kisses?

I hugged my arms around me as he came closer. I stood mid thigh deep in the water. He looked me up and down, desire and admiration filling his face. I bit my lip a little, still nervous as to what he was going to say next.

“Wow,” he whispered, stopping in front of me. “Just wow.”

“Thanks,” I giggled, suddenly giddy and ridiculously happy. “You look pretty 'wow' yourself.”

“You'd know,” he teased. “The first time I met you, I was naked.”

“I remember,” I replied, my voice suddenly going husky. I took a step forward. “But you looked more like this-”

And then I pulled down his boxers, soaking them in the water...

Oh, I am a little in love with Leo.

When I wrote Sunrise Kisses, I loved Charlotte's character and I couldn't wait to have her fall in love with the crush of her life, Leo.
It was so easy for the two of them to fall together, but I knew there had to be a reason why they stayed apart.
Leo feels that he doesn't deserve Charlotte, because he has lied to her for as long as he's known her. He feels she deserves someone better than him.
Then comes the blackmail.
Blackmail and regret. Two things that go hand in hand.

I am excited to finish out this trio with Gabe's book. I just have to find his heroine, but I think I know where to look!

Charlotte has been working hard on the upcoming auction but not too hard that she was able to play matchmaker for her brother and Ava when they needed her. Now that her brother is getting his much deserved happy ever after Charlotte is determined to get hers he just doesn't know it yet. Charlotte has had a crush on Leo since she was was a young teenager but he's always seen her as the kid sister of his best friend.

Neither one can deny the attraction and when Leo finally makes his move she finds that waterfall kisses are wonderful. What begins as a whirlwind romance between them over the next few days quickly turns cold as Leo is hiding something. Will Charlotte be able to figure out what deep dark secret that Leo is hiding before it is too late? Will she get happy ever after she's been dreaming about since she was a little girl?

I like Charlotte a lot we get to see a little of her in in the prior book which features Ava and Bastian happy ever after. She's a little on the workaholic side but a total sweetheart who's supported her brother who she's not blood-related to. I like that has has a kind heart and is willing to do anything for those she loves. I wasn't sure about Leo because I didn't like he was hiding something but he redeems himself.

I've been working my way through Krista Lakes Kisses series which is one of my favorite sweet steamy romance series. I love that she's created her own little world for all the billionaires to be connected which allow for past characters to intertwine in the newer books. I found that I am able to connect with each character as they steal a place in my heart. I love Charlotte and Leo they are adorable together a long time crush turned into happy ever after. I love the Kisses stories they are quick fast paced loaded with sweet romance and enough steamy moments to leave you wanting more. I can't wait to dive into the next one.

Waterfall Kisses by Krista Lakes is a riveting, alluring, passion-filled continuation of her Kisses Series, featuring Charlotte and her long term crush Leo who is finally giving in to temptation. This story is filled with scenes of passion, hope, love and even forgiveness that'll make your heart flutter. As they let their fantasies come true, a secret threatens to tear down everything they're building together.

The Kisses, the eight book series is by Krista Lakes. This series is absolutely thrilling. I simply could not put them down until I had read all eight plus the novellas that accompany them. In a series, you should read them in order; but I didn’t. I had read the last three before I read the first ones. It really didn’t make that much of a difference in reading; but as usual, it is better to follow them in order. Krista Lakes did a fantastic job of making each book different from the others and worth reading on its own merits. The family became part of my own family as I watched them flirt and love their way to their true love.

I have read the rest of the books in the series and was looking forward to Charlotte's story because I enjoyed the other books. For me, this book fell flat for me. To me, it seemed rushed and more about sex than the actual love story. The main characters getting intimate was great, but the remaining of the story just didn't do it for me because I felt it was too cheesy and unbelievable.

Charlotte and Leo have known each other for 10 years. Ever since she spent a weekend at her brother Sabastian’s college dorm. Charlotte has been crushing on Leo ever since, she has tried just about everything from subtle to blunt with no change.

Leo is Sabastian’s partner and friend. Charlotte has been a part of the business with Leo, Sabastian, and Gabe (another lifelong friend). Leo has tried to stay away from Charlotte, claiming that he always thought Charlotte and Bastian would end up together since they grew up together. See Charlotte and Bastian aren’t blood relatives, they were thrown together in the same foster family after Charlotte lost her parents. But this is only half the truth for Leo, the other half is much darker and creates the mystery of the story.

This isn’t just a young love that finally gets there chance, it’s a story of addictions, secrets, and blackmails. All things that can destroy people, love and companies. Can Leo and Charlotte trust, love, and forgive enough? Will it be enough to survive?

I didn’t realize this book was part of the Kiss Series when I started it. I had read book one, Saltwater Kisses, a while ago and have posted a review about it. It was obvious that I was missing the back story of Bastian and Ava but it didn’t interfere with Leo and Charlotte’s story. I enjoyed this book, I wish there had been more time building up the mystery and the shakedown but at the same time I enjoyed Waterfall Kisses and the plight Leo and Charlotte were able to share. I look forward to Gabe’s story next.

Here is what is nice about a Krista Lakes romance - they are generally a quick read, the H/h are flawed but likable and you will get some steamy scenes, and I am happy to say that Waterfall Kisses hits all these key points.

Charlotte Page has been in love with Leo Westbrook all her life - her brothers best friend and business partner he has been off limits. Then during a weekend away for work, everything changes when Leo finally kisses her for the first time. From that point, things move very quickly for these two almost too quickly. There are plenty of secrets mainly on Leo's side but nothing that will end up hurting the relationship. There are some loose ends that Ms.Lakes ties up and there are a few other familiar faces that pop up from other books in the series. All in all the book is good but really nothing special - there are other books in the series that I enjoyed more.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This was a sweet story that even though part of a series can be read as a standalone. It was an easy read that had some suspense mixed in with the story as you tried to figure out who was behind throwing up "roadblocks" to the main characters relationship. All in all a good read that can be read in a weekend.

I pretty much have read everything Krista Lakes wrote so far and I have to say that The Kisses Series is my favorite. So of course when I found out that there is a new book coming out, I put it on my TBR list and moved it to the top :D And let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed :) In true Krista Lakes fashion, the story is full with romance, love and tenderness that will fill the heart of every die heart romance reader out there :) And even though I am usually a fan of a little bit more suspenseful stories with male characters who are somewhat rougher from time to time, sometimes I just need to let the die hard romantic in me to live a little :D And that's what I got from Waterfall Kisses. It completely filled my craving for a romantic story with a happy ending :)

From the moment I met Charlotte in Sunrise Kisses, I just couldn't wait to find out what will happen with her and her crush on Leo. And I have to say that now, their story is one of my favorite in the series :) It's just full of everything a good romance book should have :) The love, the laughter, the tenderness between the lovers :) And of course a little bit of heartbreak because it is not possible to have a good romantic story without any heartbreak ;) Charlotte is quite an intriguing character. She is strong and independent but she has a really big heart and it is ready to do everything for the people she loves. She will stand beside them no matter what. And Leo is her perfect other half :) Similarly to her, he is strong and will do everything for the people he loves. But he has a secret the is killing him and is threatening his relationship with the only woman he ever loved.

I have to say that I was quite surprised with the last few chapters of the book :) There were some quite unexpected twists and the slight danger made the story that much more interesting for me :) In addition to that I loved revisiting with some of the main characters from previous books :) It was great to read again about Jack and Emma, Robbie and Sam and of course Bastian and Ava. If I have to be honest, the beginning of Waterfall Kisses made me so nostalgic that I just had to reread Bastian and Ava's story :)

In a few words, I really enjoyed this new addition to The Kisses Series by Krista Lakes :) The story is interesting, fun and full of love an romance :) It is a great read for a relaxing evening and I can guarantee that it will help you escape from your every day problems :) In addition to Leo and Charlotte, you will also learn a little bit more about Gabe :) I have to say that I can't wait for his story and the woman who will catch his heart :)Hope it is coming soon :)

Waterfall Kisses is another fun, entertaining and romance filled addition to Krista Lakes' Kisses series. It will make you laugh and touch your heart. Not surprising in her usual style, Ms. Lakes has given us amazing characters who quickly drew me in to their lives and kept me turning page after page right through to the end.

Charlotte has been in love with her brother's best friend since she was 13 when he unexpectedly walked into her brother’s dorm room wearing nothing but a towel. Despite the fact that Leo was much older, he was already in college at the time, Charlotte always believed that he was her soul mate. As Charlotte got older, Leo began to feel an attraction to her as well, but things from his past prevented him from revealing to her his true feelings believing that he would never be deserving enough to capture her heart.

Both Charlotte and Leo continued over the years to keep their feelings for each other hidden, at least that is always what they believed. But when the attraction and love they felt for each other finally comes to light, the sparks between them quickly ignite a passion they had each always hoped they would one day share together. But when his past resurfaces threatening to pull them apart, will Leo and Charlotte’s connection to one other be broken or will the love they share be strong enough to overcome the secrets enabling them to keep their love for each other solid and never-ending?

Waterfall Kisses is a truly lovely story of two souls which become intertwined even before revealing their feelings. The passion shared between Charlotte and Leo will steam up your glasses and their unrelenting love for one another will fill your heart. Waterfall Kisses is an amazing story and once again Krista Lakes has given us wonderful characters who make us feel we are saying goodbye to good friends as we turn the final page.

Over my many years of reading a multitude of book series, I must admit that Krista Lakes’ Kisses series is most definitely one of my all-time favorites. And although Waterfall Kisses is part of this outstanding series, it can be read as a standalone. But as I am sure I have said in prior reviews, once you get a taste of Kisses, I don’t believe you’ll be able to stop until you have experienced them all.

Waterfall Kisses: A Billionaire Love Story is book eight in the series by Krista Lake. The book is well-written and the characters are realistic although the idea of a nobody marrying a billionaire is a far stretch of the imagination. The book and the series are really good though.
Charolette Paige is Sebastian Belrose’s personal assistant and his little sister. That is his little sister by choice. Sebastian and Charolette were in the same foster family and became brother and sister by choice. Sebastian looked out after Charolette from the time she was six and he hasn’t quit since. By choice, she stays with him as his personal assistant and part of his business. From the time she was thirteen, she had a crush on his best friend Leo. With Leo and Gage, Sebastian built his billion dollar business and made all of them rich. However, Charolette has always looked at Leo as a person rather than a money machine. Around him, she is not the efficient person she generally is. She stutters and stammers and is slightly klutzy. Why can’t she be her normal efficient self around him?
Leo has always known Charolette had a crush on him. However, he was not going to attempt to play on that with Sebastian as her brother. He had seen what Sebastian was like when he did not like men around Charolette. He is not going to risk his friendship or his business partner by hitting on his little sister. However, he is not immune to her charms and as she gets older, it becomes even harder. Now that Sebastian is in love with Ava Fairchild, could he risk his heart and try for Charolette? Will it be the end of his business arrangement and friendship with Sebastian?

Charlotte has loved Leo since the very first time she has laid eyes on him when she was just 13 years old, but no matter what she has done to try to start something with him he always pushes her away. Leo has some secrets and some are not good but deep down he does like Charlotte but thinks she deserves better then him. Charlotte will learn some things that will make him not so perfect in her eyes but more human and makes her love him even more. Charlotte and Leo will find that they do have something special between the two of them.

What I enjoyed most about Waterfall Kisses is watching both Charlotte and Leo finally getting together after so many years of what they thought were hidden feelings for each other when all along everyone around they seen them dancing around each other all this time. Seeing them both open up to each other about their pasts and trusting each other with their most dark secrets. Seeing how he treats Charlotte like a Princess and is willing to do anything to keep her safe at all times.

This is another great Krista Lakes book, although all of her different Kisses books are a must! This book has a Woman Charlotte who works for her brother that works with his two best friends, Charlotte first feel in love and has stayed in love with this same man since she was just 13 years old thinking she will never have her dream man, Leo a man who has pushed her away everytime finally doesnt push her away but there is trouble brewing that can break them up once she finds out his biggest secret of all, a love story. If you like stories like this, then Waterfall Kisses are a must!

Loved Leo an Charlotte's story so much. This was a super sexy read, scorching. Passion, intensity, Love their chemistry so much. The pull they have on one another. That need that makes it even more passionate beyond just a well written sex scene that really had me drawn in. They also had easy fun and a playful demeanor with one another. So sweet. Great balance between sexy and fun.
Charlotte Page has had the biggest crush on Leo Westbrook since she first laid eyes on his naked body when she was thirteen. He made her heart flutter and her hormones spiral out of control. Leo was one of her brother Sebastian best friend and partners, she didn't think she would ever get his attention. It had been ten years since she met Leo and with her brother finally in love with Ava it was time she took a chance with Leo. As she pulled Leo with her to watch Ava and Sebastian confess their love to one another, she is taken by surprise when Leo kisses her and confesses that he has also had a crush on her he just never thought he was good enough for her. With their feelings now out in the open they start to spend time together and it is better than Charlotte even dreamed. But Leo has secrets he is keeping. And then money goes missing. What will happen to their new love? Can their love last with secrets and lies? You will need to read this to find out. I couldn't put this down.

OMG, another amazing read from the wonderful Krista Lakes. They only appear to get better the more she writes.
Leo, another billionaire playboy with a big bank and a bigger heart. How can you not love that? Charlotte Page has loved Leo since she first met him at thirteen. Unfortunately due to age gaps and the fact that one of Leo’s best friends is Sebastian, Charlotte’s foster brother, Leo has never crossed the line even knowing it is what they both want.
As they watch Sebastian and Ava fall in love, they begin to realise what they both want, and who they want it with. Moving forward together seems simple, but Charlotte learns that Leo is keeping secrets and wants the truth.
Krista once again has hit the nail on the head with her characters. You are drawn into their lives, and it is brilliantly written to link in with her previous book (Sunrise Kisses), which is Ava and Sebastian’s story. It is really well intertwined showing parts where the story runs parallel from different perspectives. I really can’t wait to see what comes next, I am really hoping to find out more about Gabe, another of the billionaires, or the mysterious bodyguard Murdoch.

Have you ever had preconceptions when starting a book? I have been reading the kisses series by Krista Lakes since the beginning. I was so sure I was going to love this book.....

I ABSOTIVELY was not wrong!!! I loved Loved LOVED this book Krista you have absolutely, definitely done it again!!!! You bring every emotion to the forefront for the readers. To me this is the sign of a great author. At one point my heart was in my throat, and I thought nooooo, this can't be!!!!! However, there will be no more spoilers for anyone from me. But, I still wish someone would put Chad out of our misery! Elijah or Murdoch would have the knowledge to hide the body…..lol.
If you are reading this review, go pick up this book and read it. Pick up all of the books in this series. It will help you to understand more of the references in this book. You really will not be disappointed, and you will thank us, and Krista that you did.
Thank you for reading my review. Again, thank you Krista for your books, they make some of us forget for a while, some of the things going on in our lives.

I really, really enjoyed this book and I wouldn't mind having a man like Leo in my life. This story made me laugh and cry but cry in a good way.
Charlotte has been in love with Leo since she met him when she was 13 and he was 18. Now 10 years later he is still one of her brother's best friend and business partner who are all billionaires due to starting up a business together. Leo admits that he has been in love with Charlotte for years but never said anything because he was afraid he wasn't good enough for her due to a secret he has kept. He feels guilty because of this secret and has tried turning his life around and help other people out since. They finally get together and the secret finally comes out.
What I really enjoyed about this book is how her brother reacted when he found out, it's not what you would expect. Also how this author protrayed Charlotte's reaction and how they both dealt with his secret and of course the sexy scenes....loved it.

I loved Waterfall Kisses! As a fan of the Kisses series, this is one of the best ones. I was thrilled to revisit Ava and Bastian's love story in the beginning and see it from Charlotte's point of view.

Charlotte and Leo's love story is on a whole different level. As we read in the last book, Charlotte has had feelings for Leo forever, but was afraid he didn't see her as more than Bastian's little sister. All of that changed in Waterfall Kisses! Their story is hot and steamy. The feelings they have for each other have been building for years and now that they give in to them they are on fire.

Of course, no love story comes without drama. Each of these characters has something in the past that they aren't proud of, but they learn that it doesn't matter as long as they are together.

Waterfall Kisses is such a sweet love story between two people who wait so long to be together. Krista wrote another 5 star love story!

In true Krista Lakes fashion, Waterfall Kisses is a hit! As in the previous books in this series, this one is also a standalone, yet incorporates most of the characters from the previous books here and there.
The plot is easy to follow, with lots of twists and turns along the way, keeping you glued to the book until the end. Even though there were many instances that were a bit predictable or expected, there were many more that were not.
As we read, the characters grow in strength, and the love shown for each other finally takes off after such a long time of suppression. Charlotte and Leo were made for each other and when they finally decide to acknowledge their feelings to each other, they can't take their hands off of each other. If you have read any of the other books in this series, and even if you haven't, this book is a must read.

4.5 stars! We first meet Leo and Charlotte in the previous installment, and I just couldn't wait for them to get together! While this book certainly can stand alone, I do suggest reading Sunrise Kisses first because you will enjoy it so much more! I liked how this book started our with Ava and Bastian because I loved watching that play out from Charlotte's point of view. I was also happy that Charlotte and Leo admitted their feelings for each other early in the book--since it had been years in the making! I liked the mix of past and present day, and I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers story. I liked the angst/twist part of the story and was actually glad to see Leo shown as more human than the perfect hero. I do wish there had just been a liiiiitle bit more (maybe another chapter before the epilogue) but I still loved it!

My ratings scale:
1 star - horrible either hated it or wish I could give negative stars.
2 stars- didn't enjoy the book but finished, will never reread.
3 stars- good book. Possibility of a re-read in the future.
4 stars- really good to great book and characters, will re-read and if it is a series, I'll read those to.
5 stars- excellent, amazing the perfect storm of a book, LOVED everything about this book. I'll re-read and recommend.
Plus there are always half stars thrown in as well.
So since that explains my star rating you'll understand why I gave this story 2stars.
It was a boring, hum drum book. Picture an annoying monotone voice in your head and that's what this story was. Blah, bland, boring, flat. No spark, no excitement, no connection with the characters. I finished it just to see what Leo's secret was. Super glad it was a freebie!!!

I voluntarily read this book for an honest review. I like Krista Lake's books because they are often light hearted and happy. This was not the first book of hers that I've read. I have read other books in "The Kisses" series. What is nice about this series is they are all stand alone books, and they don't need to be read in order. Characters from other books do filter through, but have no impact if you haven't read their specific book. In Waterfall Kisses, Charlotte has crushed over Leo for many years, all the way back to being a teenager. But she was always "the kid sister," or so she thought. Leo had many reasons for pushing Charlotte away, one of them being he figured she'd end up with her foster brother. But when he proposed to someone else, Leo finally figures out he can have Charlotte for his own. Of course it's not an instant HEA, but a winding road to get there.
