Based on the animated shorts seen on Angry Birds ToonsTV with over 25 Million views worldwide, 'Chakra The Invincible' is the latest superhero from legendary creator, Stan Lee, co-creator of Spider-Man, X-Men, The Avengers, X-Men, Iron Man, and more. This all-ages comic features short stories of Chakra The Invincible for kids and superhero fans of all ages.
Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.
Very enjoyable though definitely geared towards younger readers. It was interesting seeing a different artist for each story and yet it still felt pretty consistent in style and tone. There’s not quite enough character background or characterization for any of the characters which is probably my biggest complaint overall fun and breezy and good for the audience in mind.
I love comic books like this one! Even more when it's written by Stan Lee. I've read Ms. Marvel this year and I absolutely loved it. I had the same feeling while I was reading Rai's adventures. I've loved meeting Chakra's character and read a little more about Mumbai. The illustrations were so cute and with funny dialogues. Without mention that the main character, Raju Rai, is so young and already feels that he have responsabilities to his city! I already want more! I'm a big fan of diversity and it's so nice so see that authors are writting stories about superheroes that live in different places around the world and not just in the USA. I'm still waiting for a superhero that lives in Brazil. Write down the idea, authors!
This was a cute little collection of short stories for a new character. It mostly features our young hero resolving different challenges but had a surprisingly limited effort to really build the character or tell us more about him. In that sense, it's really a companion piece and obviously not an origin story feature.
Comics that contain lots of lessons for children! It's great to fill the kids' free time! My sister likes to read the eBook version from https://www.e-sentral.com/book/info/5... for free
Chakra The Invincible is a children’s superhero created by Stan Lee, whose adventures you can watch on ToonsTV, which you get access to with the Angry Birds games (apparently). This particular collection of short graphic novels in a single volume was part of the Free Comic Book Day in 2015, which is something else I didn’t know anything about. It’s definitely been a weekend of discovery for me so far!
Chakra the Invincible consists of: Chakra Meets The Giantess Chakra Meets Akram Pakram Chakra Meets Thandai Chakra Meets Shadow Runner and Chakra Meets Blobby.
They are all short (only a few pages long), and are perfect for younger readers as the plots are simple to follow with no violence. Chakra is a young boy, which young readers will be able to relate to and the pictures are colourful and really make the stories. It was difficult reading this as an adult as I wanted more detail and a bit more grit, but as I say, perfect for children and to introduce them to the big wide world of superheroes.
This was a cute and fun little series of stories surrounded around the title character. I'm not sure I'd pick up more on him since it's a little young for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
The main character, Chakra, is an assistant to a scientist who created a suit that gives powers based on the Chakras in the human body. Definitely an intriguing concept in mine, but very applicable to younger readers.
If you have younger children I recommend it, granted I deeply appreciate Stan Lee's work.
This book is good I rated it a 5 because it's a new power and not just a copy of another superhero. Also this is based in India not new York. In the end the is a very good comic book.
