The encyclopaedia of vedic astrology, the bible on the subject are the teachings by Maharishi Parashara. It is the prescribed text book for all students of vedic astrology. Every students starts his/her journey into the world of vedic astrology by the teachings of Parashara. Among all interpretations & translations of Parasharas teachings in vedic astrology, two stand out as most accurate. One of them is Santanam & the second by GC Saxena. This is one of the best books that you can keep in your shelf if you are a vedic astrologer. Nothing can beat this translation & the beautiful illustrations of Parashara teachings. UNMISSABLE..

There's no other book that has ever required so much of my blood, sweat or tears.

I just think that Vedic astrology is really comprehensive and requires so much detail, concentration and diligence.

Will still need to reread it 100 times - all astro students are pretty much married to this book :')
