All I can say is oh Lordy, Lordy, "dragging my teeth across her collarbone I declare, “Darlin' I'm goin' in just like this. You've seen my medical records. You know I'm good." Sometimes a little fun before business keeps things on track, "after another chaste kiss, I wiggle my d*** back into my pants. “We should probably grab those peaches. Ever picked 'em before?" And what's a Havoc book without seeing the other boys, or really Glove, "my truck is like my women. I don't like sharin'.” Hopping in, I buckle my seatbelt and look at him in disgust at what's blaring through the speakers. “Really Glove? Beyoncé?" I loved this book I love these boys.

“If this is God’s way of justifying the bullsh** I endured for years from this family, for years of rejection, mortification, and plummet in self-worth, the apology accepted. I’d go through all of it again for this woman.” ~Lordy~

I LOVED this book!!!! I loved it so much that I had to wait a bit before sitting down to write this review because my emotions were all of the place…laughter, tears, and anger! However, all of those things mixed together made for a perfect book. Devastate is about Lordy who is a team member with Grim and Glove. He and Jazz, his boss, are on the run because of a threat coming from inside their team. He decides to take her to his hometown in Georgia to lay low for a while. In the Georgia heat, their feelings heat up for each other. Once they take that step, how will it affect their working relationship and the entire team? But, that isn’t the only obstacle to their HEA, secrets from the past come back that will also threaten their new relationship.

As with all of Xavier Neal’s books, she knows how to suck you in and not let up until the last page is finished. She does this by endearing her characters to you, and this book is no exception. I got to see a completely different side to Jazz. She’s hiding a lot of pain and tenderness under her serious exterior. I discovered as time went on that she doesn’t just see her guys as soldiers, she sees them as human beings and her family. In addition, I found out that she and Lordy share a childhood filled with pain and rejection. Luckily, Lordy had his Pa and Ma who provided him with a loving home because his parents sure didn’t. And oh man, Lordy, you may have taken Kellar’s #1 spot in my heart. But, shh….don’t tell him. Being from the South myself, I can’t resist a man with a southern accent! One other thing I will add is I really liked the secrets and surprises Xavier had in store for me. There were a couple of times I was so shocked, I had to re-read that particular part. It was a fast paced romance that will keep readers on their toes.

Xavier has always been one of my favorite writers, but this one is my favorite, “hands down.” It struck very close to home for me which made me laugh and cry. Yes, it’s a romance between two people, but it’s also a story about coming home and being with the ones you love. For Lordy, that was his Pa and Ma, especially Pa. They had a very special relationship which brought back memories of my relationship with my grandmother. My grandmother, like Lordy, helped raise me. However, my circumstances were different. I also had a mother who adored me, unlike Lordy. Never underestimate the relationship a grandparent can have with their grandchild; it can make all the difference in the world in the life of a child. So, Xavier, thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories for me through Lordy. If you haven’t read anything by this incredibly talented writer, what are you waiting for, get one of her books today!

After reading Grim/Haven, and Glove/Mandy's stories I could not wait to get my hands on Lordy and Jaz's story! And it did not disappoint. I loved this book, I couldn't put it down. You will find yourself laughing, teary eyed, and on the edge of your seat wanting to see what is going to happen next while reading this book. Lordy and Jaz are amazing characters and I really enjoyed reading about their story. I highly recommend this book and mostly the whole Havoc Series! All the books are amazing, and I really hope we get to hear some more from them!

I was really lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I've read the Havoc Series from the start and have fallen in love with each of these men. I highly recommend this series and the Senses Series also by Xavier Neal.

Jordy Eugene Lord's (Lordy) book was well worth the wait! In the past 4 books we have slowly gotten to know and respect Lordy and Jazz as people, as marines, and now we finally get to know them as a couple!

To protect Jazz Lordy agrees to take her to safety, in the one place on earth he doesn't want to be, his Georgia home. His home that is filled with unbelievable love by his Ma and Pa that raised him, as well as the insecurity and hate from the people who should love him more then anyone else, his parents and brothers.

Watching Lordy take his stand in his family home and his town with Jazz at his side was awesome! With Jazz's help Georgia's Rascal, becomes Lordy for all to see. Finally taking his stand against his family that looks down on him with the help of his Pa, Ma and Jazz! With Pa always in his corner and helping him to see his worth, Ma always behind him waiting with her wooden spoon in case he steps outta line or forgets his manners, and Jazz in his bed and at his side supporting him he is finally being the Lord of the Peach Empire that Glove proclaims him as lol.

Now he just needs to figure out how he and Jazz can make this permanent. He knows he will have to choose between the woman he loves and the men he loves as brothers and when all hell breaks lose that choice might be taken from him.

I will definatly reread both of these series and anything else that xavier writes. Her writing style pulls you into the lives of her characters and has you cheering for them, crying for them, laughing with them, and gritting my teeth and growling at some of the people that they have to deal with!

Devastate is the final installment in the Havoc series by Xavier Neal. To better understand the characters mentioned in Devastate I would recommend reading the previous novels, however, it can also be read as a stand alone.

This story is of love, passion, and acceptance in the face of adversity. Lordy, a southern, special-ops marine,  who is sexy as hell has somehow remained a really kind hearted man after being treated poorly his entire life by the people who should love him the most. After four years he has to face them again as well as the awful reason he has never been able to be in a  committed relationship.

Lordy is my favorite of all the Marines Xavier Neal has written.  He's intelligent, sweet, funny, and turns my insides to mush. I don't believe anything could be sexier than the vulnerable side of a marine. This story actually has a light hearted atmosphere to it. It was so much fun to read. The relationship between he and Jazz is my favorite as well. It's filled with so much tension and reluctance that the intensity put me on the edge of exploding .

I despised, absolutely loathed his ex-girlfriend.  And I'm pretty sure we all know people who are just as awful as she. The events that transpire around her are amusing, personal victories.  I wallowed in her well- deserved humiliation.

Hands down the best Havoc novel yet. 5 stars!

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book in turn for an honest review!!!

Jody finds himself back at his Grandparents protecting Jazz; as his feelings for Jazz become harder to deny he also faces the family he left behind when he fled to join the Marines. Will Jazz reciprocate his feelings? Will his family destroy him? Will his career be over?

Oh Lordy, Oh Lordy, Xavier Neal has exceeded yet again; Lordy’s story will have you crying buckets. This is one very emotional story that will have your heart racing one minute and your heart crying out with compassion the next. Lordy is the perfect gentleman, sweet, caring, funny and sexy as hell; what’s not to love? Lordy’s past is anything from pleasant; you could really feel the pain and heartache he was feeling being back in the presence of his family. Jazz was a true rock to Lordy in combating his family; her quick witted humour and sarcastic comments had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. In fact this whole book not only has its emotional heart aching moments it’s also full of laugh out loud moments; many phrases will stay with me forever. I’m going to miss the Havoc boys; this is one series I will read again and again!

If you love Military romances, with humour, suspense, action and erotica you will absolutely love the Havoc Series by Xavier Neal. I recommend reading Devastate after reading books #1-4 in the series.

" Whooo! Good Lordy! Good Lordy! Did you see that shot? "

I have waited months for this story, and it did not disappoint. The Havoc characters are full of heart ache and life. That is one reason you fall in love with them.

Lordy and Jazz's story is a perfect ending to this amazing series. You can never go wrong with the South! As we know those two got sent to Georgia cause The Face wants then dead. Little did they know they would be walking into a different battlefield. Lordy's family is heart warming, and the definition of southern living. ( Well only a couple of them ). And you are going to fall in love with Ma & Pa! Those two are a hoot!!! But for Lordy being back home brings back so many memories that still haunt him to this day. Instead of comfort he ends up devastated.

Jazz has always been a strong and independent woman. But Lordy knows there is a soft side to her hard exterior. He just needs to figure out how to crack it. These two are a fun couple to watch, and don't get me wrong... He may be a southern boy, but that man has a inner freak that needs to be untamed.

This story has great humor, moments that will make you cry, and we can't forget the panty melting ones! I hope you love Lordy as much as I do!!

5.5 Peaches Stars!

Devastate is part of the Havoc Series, it can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend to read the entire series to fully enjoy the story.
Xavier Neal outdid herself once again on this book! I can see how much she has improved on her craft and I can't be any prouder as a fan of her.
This book is about Lordy's story. You will learn everything about his past and at the same time you will witness how he and Jazz fall in love with each other.
If i could describe this book in a few words I would say it is "sexy, action-filled and funny".
I am always vocal about how much i like Jazz, I want to be her when I grow up and it made me loved her even more in this book!!
As always, this books shows how important family is (blood related or not), the importance of brotherhood and camaraderie is shown in here.
There's a part of this book that made me a bawling mess but i can't really talk about it because I don't want to giveaway a great part of this book but that scene, that part made me nostalgic and made me feel the way I did when I'm in that situation.
For me, this is another book that will stuck with me no matter what and seriously, I want to Jazz someday!
This is a must read!

So once again I am speechless and that hard things considering I always get the last word in.
Xavier Neal has done it again; not only was I rendered speechless, I was crying, laughing, yelling at my Kindle say WTF why why why.
The final story of Lordy and his team mates was absolutely crazy. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters.
This story is about a bond stronger than blood. It about family not always being about blood but a brotherhood and sisterhood a family that most of will never understand but want in general.
Jazz and Lordy story is absolutely fanfreakingtastic. I didnt want it to end. I want him to get the last stick it to his family and you will understand where I’m coming from once you ready this wonderful story.
I read this story in one day. I thought I left my Kindle at work and was freaking out because I had to know how this story ended and could not sleep til I did. There aren’t many authors that could do that to me but Xavier Neal yup I’m hooked like a crack addict.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was another excellent installment to the Havoc series! Lordy is a man after my own heart. A good ole Georgia boy at his finest, a Marine to his core, and a person anyone would be lucky to call family! The final storyline brings everything into focus. It gives you the final information you need to get closure for each main character. Lordy's Ma and Pa are fantastic additions to the Havoc family! His parents and brothers leave little to be desired, but money does that to some people. You also learn about Jazz and her back story. Two people were never more right for one another. The two of them coming together has been a long time coming and it was done perfectly. I was a little disappointed that Lordy didn't inform his parents of his test results, and being able to get the family's reactions. Other than that this was a perfect ending to an amazing series!!

**I received an ARC for an honest review!**

Xavier is one talented author, who has a wickedly delicious way with words.

In DEVASTATE in order to stay safe Jazz, and Lordy must go into hiding.
Where do you go when you don't want to be found?
The last place anybody would ever think to look for you.
In Lordy's case, it's his hometown.

The feelings that Lordy, and Jazz skate around, the dangers their hiding from, and a past Lordy must face all come together to create a intriguing, sometimes frustrating, and mesmerizing story.

I laughed. I got a little teary-eyed. Angd on more than one chapter there were times when I wanted to chuck my Kindle right out the window.

But in the end I loved every single edge-of-your-seat moment.
After reading many of Xavier's other books I couldn't wait to read Lordy, and Jazz's story. And I was by no means whatsoever disappointed.
I loved the HAVOC series! I really hope there's more to come!

What a book. Xavier has done it again. Every time she astounds me.

I truly do believe Lordy is my fave HORN guy.
He's been through so much. And he's still such a true kid hearted guy.
His tale is such a heart breaking tale.
A shit*y family all except ma & pa.
a dodgy ex.
But this doesn't stop him I fact it makes him strive to be better. And at the same time makes him an amazing brother to the guys he's out in the field with.
This book with throw surprise after surprise your way and have you hocked from the very beginning.
*i finished in one sitting*
I'm not to sure what else to say without ruining the story for y'all Other than this book is epic and a definite must read.

Side note. I Effin loved that ending. :) happy smiles. *i knew it*

I received this book for an honest review.
I absolutely lobed this book. It kept me on my toes and guessing what was going to happen next. We first meet Lordy and Jazz as they are arriving at Lordy's grandparent's house. They are there to visit but really they are in hiding. While they are there the two grow close and become more than boss and employee. We are introduced to the rest of Lordy's family and we find out just what they think of him, though don't let their opinions influence how you think about him. Eventually, Lodry's 'brothers' in arms show up and then things turn bad. They are sent on a goose chase which turns out to be a distraction and then they are all sent back to work. When they get there things aren't as they should be and they have to work together in order to save each other.

I was gifted a copy in exhange for an honest review.
I love Xavier's books. She so far has not written one where I'm not hooked from the first page.
I've been looking forward to Lordy's story after meeting him in Clint's book.
This one is full of emotions ranging from funny to wanting to throw my tablet against the wall.
Seriously hope this isn't the end of the series would love to see more of these characters.
Jazz and Lordy have somewhat of an unconventional relationship which they always skirted around each other and I know she did things in this book to protect him so to speak but she could have gone about it a little better instead of letting it explode in his face.
Some of the secondary characters I hated and some I loved especially Ma and Pa.

Oh my gosh I am totally in love with this story. This book is about Lordy and Jazz. It follows them back to lordys home town in Georgia. I loved everything about this book I have not laughed and smiled so much from reading a book in forever but I found myself loving there story. It also has its make you want to smack a hoe moments and then the times that you will need to have that tissue handy while you cry your eyes out. This book is a truly Amazing and wonderful read that made me fill right back at home because I am also from Georgia. I loved all the southern phrases that were said and references that were made. If you have read the Havoc Series then you know a little bit about Lordy and Jazz. This book is about the two of them going away in hiding to be safe. They go to Lordy's hometown. There he has to face his family which he feels he doesn't belong. As time goes by you get a look into both of Lordy and Jazz's lives. They both yearn for each other. The question is will they cross the professional line since she is his superior. We as the reader get to find out why there is such turmoil between Lordy's parents and him. Why was he raised by his grandparents? Also for the HORN mission are Lordy and Jazz safe once they return back home? Read the book to find out. You won't be disappointed

This book was amazing!! Xavier took us on the journey of a young man learning blood matching blood doesn't mean family and just because you don't have the same blood doesn't mean you can't be family. Jody "Lordy" Lord is my favorite Xavier character and his book just made me fall more in love with him. This book made me happy, sad, mad, worried, frustrated, and a million other emotions that I can't find the words for (I guess that's why I'm not an author). I didn't want to see the end come because I know this means the end of the Havoc series but I was so glad Xavier gave us a glimpse into the future. Thank you, Xavier, you didn't disappoint with Devastate, Lordy's story

I couldn't put this book down. I had a ton of emotions with this book. I kind of felt sorry for Lordy for a short time with how his family treated him. Glad Lordy stood up to his brother and punched him. I also got a kick out of Jazz showing up Lordy's ex girlfriend during a shooting contest. It reminds you that family doesn't have to come from blood. It can't be stronger then blood. I love that about Glove, Lordy, and Grim. I wasn't expecting the ending to turn out the way it did but I actually think it was better then what I expected. Of course I loved the epilogue too :) Glad that Lordy was able to finally find love.

Suspenseful is the only word a reader can use to describe Devastate. It will keep you wondering what next and reminding you that blood does not make you family. One thing for sure though is that you will end up experiencing raw emotions that can be expected in an Xavier book and most definitely in all of the Havoc books.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I do believe that it is best to read the other book in the Havoc series to best appreciate this book.

This is one of Xavier's best books ever! Lordy finally gets his voice heard. My Georgia boy born and raised is a great southern gentleman. Jazz gets to get some of that good lordy!Jazz is a sassy sweet gal who is his boss...so in normal Xavier Neal fashion...things happen. It is hot and steamy and lots of action as well.
