Wild LoveAlana Caldwell cursed the white blood that ran through her veins! The blue-eyed half-breed had known nothing but joy among the Cheyenne, but the white man had destroyed her way of life, and now the overbearing Captain Nicholas Ballinger had arrived to escort her - against her will - back to her father's home in Virginia. She fought the darkly handsome officer at every turn, clinging to her Indian ways and wondering at his notions of civilization. For certainly there was nothing civilized about the untamed yearnings he awakened as he cupped her ripe curves, rained tender kisses over her soft form and led her into a world of unforgettable ecstasy.Savage BeautyNicholas Ballinger had one last duty to perform as a U.S. Calvary officer - to make sure the troublesome half-breed waif, Alana Caldwell, safely reached her father in Virginia. Ballinger had no patience with females, and this one was proving to be a stubborn baggage, refusing his help and rebelling like a hellion against his attempts to get her cleaned up and presentable for the Richmond society she was about to join. He simply wanted Alana out of her filthy buckskins and off his hands, but once he glimpsed her - transformed from bedraggled brat to alluring beauty - he wasn't quite so eager to be rid of the raven-haired temptress. He wanted to hold her forever, to kiss her hungrily and savor her sweet response, to show her a love as fiery as a Cheyenne Sunrise.

I must have lived in another life and time, because when I write, I can almost feel I was there. My favorite part of writing is the research. Whenever possible, I will go to the place I am writing about to walk the land and smell the air."
This was good, but I didn't like how it didn't take much time for Alanna to forget about Gray Falcon, the Indian who she was supposedly madly in love with. I mean i had really liked Gray Falcon and he died protecting her village, her family, her way of life, and key word HER. He had told her how much he loved her and she had thought that they were destined to walk among the stars together forever, but not 6 months after he dies, she's having dirty thoughts for, marrying, and having sex with a white man she literally met like a week before, I'm just saying. And I thought it was so sad and horrible that her grandparents and her whole village died :,,,( And I think she was a bit rude herself, not as awful as her horrible bitch of a half-sister of course, but she did have her moments. But all in all it was a good book :)
What a lovely story. Gray Falcon, though he was just in the beginning, left a big mark after him. Wish there was a story just about Gray Falcon. And what happened to the necklace of the silver falcon he gave Alanna/Blue Eyes? There were no mentioning of it any more after the war.
Strong heroine, but she becomes weak at the end and do not follow pattern of behaviour she started with. Maybe because of her pregnancy? Interesting hero and interesting side story with the heroes parents.
Respect to the author, who through Alanna, described the war the Americans had on the natives as a war and a hideous crime.
From the book: "It's simple. I am heading a committee to investigate the treatment of the Indians in the Indian Territory. As you know, since George Custer's massacre-" "You mean since George Custer met his death on the field of dishonor," she corrected him (she is Alanna, the heroine).
Very interesting storyline. Both Alanna and Nicholas are very strong willed so that makes sparks fly. I really think the author just kinda decided to stop writing though, before tying all the loose ends up for the readers. The ending was very abrupt and dissatisfying. Final rating 4 stars🌟
This was good, but I didn't like how it didn't take much for Alanna to forget about Gray Falcon, the Indian who she was supposedly madly in love with. I mean I had liked Gray Falcon and he died protecting her family and her village and basically her. He had told her how he loved and she had admitted that was totally in love with him, but not 6 months after he dies she's having dirty thoughts about and hot sex with some new white man she meets and marries right after meeting him.
