Hailey and Piper are returning home from a missionary trip from Mexico when their Pastor fails to show up at their meeting place. They decide to walk home and take a short cut through the forest. They soon cross paths with Lucia and Rosita who are passing through the forest for different reasons. They have just escaped from jail.

Seeing easy prey, the two convicts begin a cat and mouse chase of the girls through the woods. It is all fun and games for them.

Until they hear a werewolf's howl echoing through the valley.

There’s something evil in the woods of California. Something with razor-sharp teeth, sword-like claws, a voracious appetite, and the moon that holds it’s sway. Yes, the werewolf is out tonight, and two Christian girls, Piper, and Hailey will find out that this werewolf isn’t what he seems.
This story is filled with religion, horror, and death; an odd combination but you have to love the mix. The overall story is a good one, and the author had done a fair job of creating the essence of the horror the reader has come to expect with any story about werewolves and destruction they leave behind.
Though this was a good story, some editing would make this book much more enjoyable. All in all, not a bad story.

Howl by Richard Poche Howl by Richard Poche is a short horror story. I gave it three stars.

"Uncle Bob suffered from depression. His mental cables eventually snapped, causing great grief to Sophia's mom and grandmother. He would wind up with dementia spending his final years in a convalescent home. He lost his mind. It shriveled up and died. The burning light within had long gone.

"She remembered when they hauled his belongings out of the house. A whole universe of stories tossed away, like a photograph dissolving into a million random dots. Forgotten."

I received a complimentary kindle copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.

Howl

How sad. , these two girls come from unhappy childhoods and find each other and become best friends. They even spend many summers devoting their time helping people in need in poor countries. This all done through the church. On returning from their last trip they search for the local priest but find themselves being followed by a couple of escaped girls , from the local prison. And now what sounds like a wolf is also after them also. Can things get any worse? This short but exciting story will haunt your dreams...or NIGHTMARES. ENJOY..I RECOMMEND.
