I can see the improvement in the editing so a lot of points for that, I enjoyed the story and was mostly entertained the whole way. Now I do feel like the flashbacks didn’t add enough context or info and too much was left on the reader to piece together. I also felt like a lot of the book was telling us how to feel vs showing us stuff and letting us feel naturally. I do love who she ended up with but I don’t like that we were sold this love triangle and it was never a competition. lol like the entire book there was not no real toss up she had one real solid option and the other wishy washy handsome guy. We needed to see Marcus suffer and we needed to see the family reactions to Zambia’s choice. She’s still talented and I enjoy her work but we need more on page actions, conflict and explanations of things so we can better understand character motivations or personality.

Jackie girl we’ve been waiting for you! Much hype for this release unfortunately for me it missed the mark in a couple areas. Too many time jumps and big moments happening off page made the story extremely anticlimactic. Jackie, Najee, and Cash had a lot of potential for a great love triangle but that didn’t exactly pan out. Many ends were left loose and the reader had to wonder well what happened with so and so 🤔 While the addition of Mia and Newdy was cool I would have loved some of those chapters to see what was going on off page with the main characters. The potential was definitely there but it didn’t land as smoothly as it could have.

Jackie, Cash and Najee

This was a long awaited next part as I wanted more of Cash and Jackie but also learning more about Najee. I enjoyed the sprinkling of Syxe and Monty in the story. Jackie could not catch a break and there were moments in the story where I felt every emotion she was feeling. Marcus Sr ugh! I wanted more on page action about his demise but so be it. Cash didn't have the same presence in this story as he did in book 1. When Najee began pursuing Jackie things really jumped off. The man she ended up with was t who I picked but I understood why that decision was made.
Kormia and Jackie relationship as we also got some backstory about them made me love their bond even more. Kormia I'm excited for your story.

CASH is not the MMC.

I hope there is a secondary book to Cash and Jackie. Their feeling are deep, and even though I like Nigel, I felt cheated. Maybe Cash's last statement had a hidden undertone, and as he said, he will always love Jackie.
It's obvious he will get his own story (again, this was not the book we thought we were getting based on book 1), but tensions between Cassius and Jack will be hard to top. I rated it 3 stars because it took a year to be dragged along for a story I didn't want; we can assume there is a HEA, but she was tearing up during their last conversation, and when he was conceding, she watched him walk away

Finally All In!

Jackie's story has been long awaited, and I can honestly say I loved who she ended up with, so the conclusion of her story felt fine to me. I loved Jackie, so watching her find love and pivot to allow someone else to care for her and her children was sweet. What I didn't enjoy were the aspects of the story that were glossed over or completely omitted. I feel like as readers we waited too long for the author to be leaving anything out or up to our interpretation. I also feel like there wasn't enough of a courtship between the couple, and I was disappointed with that. Especially since she did a lot of promo citing this as Jackie's soft girl era, but we don't get to see any of that in this book.

Bittersweet

I felt all the emotions of each character, but team Cash all the way, I was so hopeful that he and Jackie would get their happy ever after with each other. So it was a little bittersweet for me but good book overall. Can’t wait for Kormia and Newdy!!!

74%

This long anticipated book was not done to perfection. There were formatting errors, the dialogue was not clear and pages without paragraphs. It will not get good til 74% percent in. I begrudgingly continued reading due to the fact that this book has been heavily promoted with multiple false release dates.

I can say that once you hit 74% in the story reaches a flow state where things that matter happen and people find their common sense. However, there were so many parts of the 26% that was worth expanding to build to the narrative that was promoted. The gala, the raid, the resignation, more scenes with MJ, Max, Najee and Jackie could have all been expounded on. There was so much potential in the 26% that was glazed over. Granted I understand that certain scene may tie into Mia story. I also wish we got to see Jackie integrate more into the community and the family’s acceptance.

Overall, Jackie got her happy ending which I wasn’t expecting and it made me smile. Jackie had growth and Najee shows up but with proximity to the ending it feels rushed but you felt the intimacy. The spicy scenes were 4/5.

I would recommend if you’re willing to sit through being annoyed 74% of the book.

A Masterpiece

This book was worth the wait! I loved it! I won’t give any spoilers but this book did not end the way that I thought it would. It was messy in a good way! Both Cash and Najee loved Jackie, but sometimes love is not enough. I appreciate and applaud that this book was lengthy. I am giving Karalynne all her flowers. Thank you for pushing through, even when it was hard!

Msssss. Jackie

This one was an emotional tearjerker. Without ruining it for anyone who hasn’t read it yet, all I’ll say is that Ms. Jackie is the definition of a strong woman—always carrying the weight of everything on her back. We all deserve that soft life, and I’m so glad she finally got hers. ❤️

And Cash… he’ll forever have my heart. 💖

I thought it would be Cash but that mf Dr. Nigel *Najee* Amin-Rashid that’s a MAN! And I’m glad it was him. I’m gushing… I definitely got emotional at certain points of this story. I’m glad Jackie Brown got another chance at love. 🥰 this will def be a re-read. It’s something about reading a book where the setting takes place in the city you were born and raised in. The feeling you get knowing that you’ve driven the very same streets, patronized some of the very same restaurants etc and that’s what I got from Karalynne. This one was definitely for the lover girls, the women who are tired of just surviving and deserve to be loved properly and land in a soft place.

In the Heart of Philly⭐️♥️

Ms. Jackie Brown’s story done captured my heart. 5⭐️ all across the board! This book captured the essence of Philly and I love the representation of the NOI as well. Had me stopping and going to search areas of the city mentioned. Jackie’s story was so beautiful and I’m glad of the direction it went! Even getting more in depth with Kormia’s story. I’m looking forward to more!!

📚 Book Title: All In: Unfinished Business
✍️🏽Author: Karalynne K.
📕 Format: 📱
⭐️ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶 Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️

🕑 Quick Take:
We first meet Jackie Brown as Syxe’s best friend in “All Mine: An Urban Nanny Romance.” Jackie has always been in survival mode as a single mother to Marcus Jr. (“MJ”) and Maximus (“Max” or “Fat Daddy”). She faces challenges with her older son’s unhinged father, Marcus, and receives no support from her late fiancé Maximillian Avi Graham’s family for her youngest son. Her closest support comes from her best friend and cousin, Kormia. Recently, she’s attracted the interest of two cousins—Cassium “Cash” Amin-Rashid and Dr. Nigel “Najee” Amin-Rashid.

We first encountered Cash as security personnel for Montana in All Mine. He was described as tactically skilled and as an assassin operating “in the shadow behind the curtain, the hand that moved before the threat even had a name.” However, he was also a Pop Warner football coach linked to his family’s school and involved in the family’s underworld. He is obligated to marry and is engaged to someone else.

Dr. Nigel “Najee” Amin-Rashid is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and a scholar. Fat Daddy is referred to Najee because of behavior problems in school. He is able to connect with Max and lower Jackie’s defenses about the referral. He wants to keep it professional, but finds it hard to resist his interest in her.

Which of the two men will she allow to give her a soft place to land?

⚠️ Heads Up (Read the Author’s Note)

💭Final Thoughts:
Like All Mine, the highly anticipated sequel All In did not disappoint. It was a “page-turner like a mug!” Jackie often faced tough situations, but she was both resilient and resourceful. She consistently tried to manage things on her own. Cash and Negee supported her and her son, Max, in different ways. Baby sister had options, making it hard to choose whom to root for. Overall, I could feel the emotion off the page: grief and deep longing, yearning, and action—just like a perfect urban romance. One notable aspect was how Philadelphia seemed to appear as a character within the story. I sensed this even before reading the author’s acknowledgments. I visited last year and felt I hadn’t fully experienced all the vibes described here—definitely need a do-over. Overall, a phenomenal read! Can’t wait for Kormia and Newdy’s book, All Out: The Final Chapter!

I absolutely loved this book! Jackie is a struggling single mom who has spent her entire life simply getting by and surviving, especially while dealing with her oldest son’s crazy father. She’s so used to handling everything on her own that she doesn’t even know what to do with real love when it finally comes along.

Jackie seemed determined to run from Cash’s love—and honestly, I can’t blame her. Meanwhile, Amin was not about to let her continue avoiding the fact that she deserved to be loved the right way. He put his foot down and slowly pulled that “soft girl era” out of Jackie. She fussed, fought, and resisted, but eventually gave in once Amin showed her that he was serious about her and wasn’t going anywhere.

As for Cash, I have absolutely no hate for him. I understood that he was following his family’s rules and ultimately chose to live a miserable life because of them, until everything eventually blew up in his face. Even through all of that, he still loved Jackie and respected her choice when she chose love and happiness for herself.

One of my absolute favorite parts of this book was the way the author incorporated Philly staples throughout the story. She even included photos of some of the places mentioned, which made the experience feel even more personal. We may call Philly a lot of things, but this city has so much history, character, and culture. As a Philly native, seeing those familiar places represented in the book made me incredibly proud.

Jackie!

4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️All In was honestly such a really good book. It was an emotional, heartfelt story about Jackie Brown that showed the strength of a mother, specifically a Black mother. It truly highlighted how moms are superwomen. They make a dollar out of fifteen cents and make an imperfect world feel perfect, and that is exactly who Jackie Brown is.
While it showed the struggle, it also revealed the rainbow with themes of self-care and self-love. I also loved how Jackie found her person—someone who loved her and saw her for who she truly was. The first book set the scene for Jackie and Cash, but All In threw a total curveball. Honestly, I ain’t even mad at the curveball, cause baby, the good Doc was IT. lol
In addition to the love story that evolved, I loved the revelation and character development of Kormia. She wasn’t who book one portrayed her to be; she turned out to be such a loyal and loving cousin.
While the book was definitely bomb, a couple of things weren't as desirable. The word redundancy took a little bit away from the story. Also, while it improved significantly in this book, the dialogue formatting was still a little confusing at times. You had to reread certain parts just to decipher who was actually talking.
Despite those couple of things, this story was bomb and definitely a must-read!

I had high expectations for this book after book one and let’s just say some things did not quite hit the mark. Based on the way that book one ended you would assume that we were going to get a love triangle story and that just didn’t happen for me.

Let’s start with the positives, Najee! He was the star of this book to me. He was Mr. Get done and I say what I mean and mean what I say. I also love seeing the growth of Jackie in this story; her trying to heal after being hurting for so long and learning to be selfish for once.

Now let’s get into some of the negatives, first thing first, the AI cover. I still hate it. No explanation needed. Second, I want more of Cash. It felt like we didn’t get the same presence of him like we did in book one and maybe that was on purpose, but I didn’t like it. Just like in book one, we got introduced to side characters. I felt like we saw too much of the side characters story on page and although I know that it’s gonna be a leg way to the final book some of that information could have waited. Which lead to my final issue…the last 25% of this book gave me whiplash! When I say it was extremely rushed and all of the time jumps that held details that we didn’t get to see on page made the ending anticlimactic

this was a HIGHLY anticipated read and it did not disappoint me!

NO SPOILERS.

I have to say that it is not easy writing a love triangle that includes 2 cousins who have DEEP family and religious obligations.

Not to mention, their obligations ran directly with one another...

Also, they almost shared the same mother with how close Najee was with his aunt.

We all know how the mother feels about Jackie.

So there was only so much we could experience in this "love triangle". Anything more would just feel unnatural to the balance of this world the author created.

Let's be honest, she couldn't be knocking down both cousins and then show up as wife to one of them a the family dinner- that's not the vibe of this story/world.

Now, do we get some "charged" moments with both MMC's- YES!

Really, whoever Jackie was with at the time was who I wanted her to end with because it was just that charged for me. SHORT but charged.

The epilogue- that conversation... We realize while Jackie knew both men, she really didn't know this one because he didn't even know himself.

"Oxygen suits you..."

Can't wait for the next couple and I hope the "unchosen MMC" gets a story....

Only critique- Still a five star but there was the conversation in the office between Najee and Cash that was a little confusing and not fully addressed. Motivations and whatnot.

Karlynne K, the author that you are! I really appreciate it when authors are able to receive constructive criticism from readers and make improvements. While I enjoyed book #1 All Mine, it was clear to me and other readers that while the story itself was original, it was clearly edited with AI.
There are certain cadences and patterns AI has that make it very easy to distinguish AI writing.
It was an issue because Karalynne K actually re-issued the novel after many pointed out the use of AI.

I give this background to say that although I enjoyed book #1, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get through book #2 if it was heavily edited by AI again. I'm happy to say that as I read through this book, it flowed so much better. I could tell Karalynne took her time, trusted herself and her writing, limited AI, and probably got some arch readers.

The storyline itself was really good and ended not in a way I expected but fully enjoyed. I love Jackie as a character and was rooting for her. Not going to spoil it, but I'm excited for the next book. As a reader, I can see how confident Karalynne has gotten in her writing and I look forward to rooting for her!

At first I was like wtf lol but when I got to the end I wasn’t mad about it. Judging by some of these reviews 👀 I can tell how many wait for the wrong man to do better even when Mr.Right is present, better and ready NOW!! A part of me thought it was a lesson wrapped in a blessing. If Cash would have just spoke up, defended more, loved correctly and just been true to himself🤷🏽‍♀️. My goodness the life he could have lived. Being everything for parents and nothing for yourself whewwww. I can’t lie at times Jackie really got on my nerves. I get being strong and independent but after a while it was repetitive. Her trauma blah blah blah. Just purposely living in poverty at almost forty was driving me up the wall.
Jackie's story has been long awaited, and I can honestly say I loved who she ended up with. Every woman just wants somewhere soft and safe to land. I will always love you chileeeeee I understood it all too well. I got to watch a woman who fought every storm finally bloom on these pages. I enjoyed this read and I can’t wait for Kormia and Newdy!!! I absolutely love Parrish crazy tale for Kormia.

Worth the wait

This book was absolutely worth the wait!

Cash… after the ending of All Mine, I was rooting for you, but you did Jackie wrong from the very beginning of All In. I wanted so much better for her, and you made it hard to keep cheering for you.

Jackie went through so much, but she never let her struggles define her. I loved watching her grow stronger, stand on business, and refuse to settle for less than she deserved. Seeing her finally find the love, peace, and happiness she deserved with Najee made my heart so happy. He gave her the kind of love she had been missing all along.

Sometimes the person you’re meant to be with isn’t the person you started with, and I think this story captured that beautifully.

I absolutely love the All or Nothing universe, and every book keeps me invested in these characters. Now I’m counting down the days until Kormia and Newdy’s story—I already know it’s going to be another emotional roller coaster!

If you’ve been following this series, All In is definitely a must-read.

I feel hoodwinked! Ugh why didn’t anyone warn me. I know Jackie & Najee deserve to be together but dang. I’m a little disappointed. I feel like the Cash we fell in love with in All Mine was not the Cash that showed up in All In.

A few things that felt odd to me where
1. Cash’s mom carrying Jackie the way she did and Syxe not stepping in as her friend to intervene.
2. I felt like the jersey was found to be a good clue on how to find MJ but Jackie didn’t even ask anyone for help with locating the school. I know that’s in her characters nature but it just felt odd because a good reverse google image search probably would’ve found the team. Maybe I watch too much tv but I feel like at the age MJ was he would be old enough to say he wanted to live with Jackie and the friendship that Syxe and Jackie have and her being rich again it just seems like to me she would help her friend legally get her son.

I know the author said that All Out is the final installment but I feel like we deserve a book dedicated to cash a novella or somethingggg

Overall 3.9/5. Spice 3.9/5. This is the story of Najee and Jackie. Most of the story was leading with a love triangle vibe (which I do not prefer) as Cash was initially introduced as Jackie’s love interest. Cash was betrothed/promised to Zambia. As strong and independent as Cash is, it came off as super weak for him to passively choose the family pressured arrangement over his heart. There was absolutely no question regarding Najee’s commitment once he made the decision to pursue Jackie. Because she had been abused and left destitute by previous relationships/fathers of her 2 sons, she was extremely guarded and reacted with harsh words and attitude as defense mechanisms. Najee fed her and her son, got her a car, fixed her house, and eliminated her ex as a threat. Najee was patient, kind, steadfast and loved her so well that she was finally able to relax and live as opposed to only survive. Looking forward to the next story of Kormia and Newdy.

Jackie had those cousins beefin

3.5 Stars

Overall, I enjoyed book two. This was definitely a slow burn that introduced many additional characters while still including the previous dynamic with Monty & Sxyx. The incorporation of the “love triangle” between Jackie, Cash & Najee was interesting to see play out page by page, however, I wish we saw more of that tug of war play out. I also wish we would have gotten more insight into the complexities surrounding Jackie, Marcus & MJ. This was such a focal point in the story, especially considering how much it affected Max & his behavior. A little more background between the dynamic of Jackie’s previous relationship Marcus as well Nef could have taken that part of the story to another level. As a whole, I’m enjoying this series and can’t wait to see what transpires between Kormia & Newdy in “All Out.”

Jackie, Cash & Najee

Jackie is a single mother of two boys. She got away from a relationship that didn't serve but, but was still tied to him because he was the father of her oldest child. She moved on to another relationship with Max, but that came to an end when Mac didn't make it home from the store.

Cassius/Cash is a friend of a friend. But he and Jackie have an attraction to each other. However, he has family obligations that precede his feelings.

Nigel/Najee is Cash's cousin and finds himself attracted to Jackie. He does not have any family obligations that prevent him from pursuing Jackie.

With trial and error, Jackie and her suitor move forward. However, an ex f4om her past is plotting in the background. It comes to light when her youngest son tells her what he knows.

The ultimate battle of the cousins. It was indeed a showdown, but I loved that the love triangle wasn’t too tangled and she was able to make a clean break from Cash.

This sophomore book had me hooked from page one. The standup woman that Jackie Brown is! She endured so much but did her best to keep fighting and showing up. It was painful to witness her go through the motions with Cash and Najee was definitely the better man for her when he stepped up (eventually). I love that she got her happy ending in love and family. Her getting to reunite with her son was the highlight of this book for me. It brought me so much joy. She deserved every good thing she eventually got.

With all the hints and unfinished storylines in the plot, I’m sure there’s another book coming soon.

More, I need more.

You would think after spending the day reading 400 + pages about Najee, Cash, Jackie that I would have had enough. And of them maybe, but this found family- no. I want more. I’m ready to dive into Kormia and Parrish.

I have to say this story didn’t play out at all like I expected. When we were introduced to the idea of Jackie and Cash- I saw there story going a certain way.

Then Najee entered the chat and I was second guessing everything. Jackie had me frustrated but also her actions made sense.

Overall- the story was entertaining. But more time with the editor seems to be a recurring theme from book 1 to book 2. The POV, mix up on character ages, and grammar issues were all a bit distracting.

Still I’m watching IG for book 3.

we got some unfinished business

I yeeted everything out the window when this dropped to read it. I, like everyone else had been waiting for it and I was locked in. But then time jumps started to happen and all of a sudden it was like when you have that friend who leans on you when times are bad, you go through the trenches with them and THEN they get a man and start to ice you out and not really tell you the tea because she don’t need you anymore? That’s how about the last bit of this felt. We got blocked. We just got passing gossip of the whole confrontation? I started wondering what I did at 80% to get the cold shoulder..

But imma still spin the block for Mia.
