I'm not sure what to make of this one. I got a case of the giggles at points, though, so that's always a good sign.

As the summary on the book says, this is just a spin-off of the original series, re-imagining the Devil is a Part Timer characters as high school students instead. It's a fairly basic high school rom com, so that's not really what makes it stand out.

What makes it amusing is seeing the characters I already knew as a fast-food worker, a "house husband," and a call-center clerk as high schoolers and a school janitor. It's got the same sense of humor as the original, just changed to high school.

If you like the original this spun off of, you'll probably get a kick out of this one.

I’ve seen the anime and thought this would be a fun AU read.

It’s fairly bland fan service, and I’d only read it if you’ve completed the OG series and wanted some extra stories to read. It doesn’t further the OG storyline or provide any extra insight/plot, and it doesn’t work as a standalone since you have to know who all the original characters are.

This is obviously a spinoff from The Devil Is A Part-Timer. It's not as good; do we really need another high school manga? I'd recommend reading the light novel or main series before reading this or you might not know what's going on. Three stars is generous.

I won this as part of a graphic novel/comics bundle. It was a cute, quick read, and although it's a spin-off of another series I didn't really find it difficult to follow at all.

I won this book as part of a giveaway contest. I haven't read the original series, but it looked really interesting, so I thought that I would give this book a go. Definitely a fun book. I think that it starts off a little awkwardly, but as soon as the exposition/backstory is out of the way it becomes a lot more confident and fun. I hope that the two female leads become friends, not rivals! There is definitely potential for the series, but I think that I will have to read the next few volumes before I give a definite opinion.

I won this book as part of the Goodreads First-Read program.

It's hard to find a well written spin-off series so I generally tend to avoid them altogether. However because I love the original series so much I wanted to take a chance on this one. The first half left me feeling a bit disappointed because the story felt choppy. It didn't spend nearly enough time letting you get to know the characters. The last few chapters are where things started to pick up and were actually very good. I hope that the next volume will be able to pick up where this one left off.

This was adorable. If you ever imagined what it would be like if the characters from DIPT were all in high school, this is it. including Urushihara.

Better than the manga, at least. I was expecting the manga to go into more detail than the anime, and was disappointed. The anime was freaking amazing, okay.

Anyway, I should probably check out the original novels, since they came first. *sigh*

I read this to see if it was okay for my 9 year old daughter. I passed it on to her but my son said as the series go on it isn't appropriate for her. Sigh.

I enjoyed the start of this series. Devil king gets sent to this realm. His enemy also comes across. They proceed from there. Only there seems to be an attraction. Or maybe just a tiny flirtation. I imagine as the series goes on this will make more sense.

So, the devil king of a certain far away world suddenly finds himself as a Japanese high school student on Earth, a world where none of his former powers any longer work. This is the story of how he decides to rise to power the 'logical' way, by running for student council and working in the cafeteria. Very cute. This is a spin off from the series 'The Devil is a Part-Timer', which has become popular in both manga and anime circles.

Best I can figure, this is an alternate-reality spinoff of the Devil is a Part Timer Series that takes place entirely in a high school setting. I'm a fan of the original manga series so was a little skeptical about this initially, but the characters are well-designed and so work well in this alternate setting. I imagine fans of the series would be excited about this spinoff as it gives them more stories (in a what if? sort of setting) about characters they enjoy reading about.

I received this book for an honest review.

I really enjoy graphic novels but I have to say this one was a bit hard to get into. I have not read the series that it spin off of so that may be part of it. I just felt like it was saying the same things over and over though it did pick up there at the end.

It's worse because we go to the tired cliche of HIGH SCHOOL AU!
If that's your cuppa tea, by all means, read on.
If you liked the original story (for some reason or another), then you might want to skip, so your internal canon doesn't get jumbled up.

A spin-off from another series, not enough plot or character development for this to work on its own. Story was difficult to follow for the first half, but did improve a bit in the last two chapters.

I've read and enjoyed the original manga, so I was hoping the spin off would be stupid funny like AoT: Junior High. Nope. This is kind of disappointing, but I'm hoping it will get better.
