I througholy enjoyed this book, i was glued to every page Ari and Akealyn are epic the tension between Ari and Akealyn is amazing no matter What they are like towards each other you know they want each other! i really liked the other contestant who what Ari's friend, i really hope we get to see here again in book 2 Brim is amazing, omg the things he can do! I loved Seeing Ari learn her Powers and how powerful she becomes!
and to add i hate Ari's mum and sister with a passion, My good friend Nya needs to torture them!

Let me start first by saying fantasy/ romantasy books are my love language, and this book was speaking my language!
Normally I struggle with getting into the initial world building of fantasy books, because it can feel complicated and to much information all at once, but The Book Witch was a wonderful balance between building an immersive world while also making me feel like I was getting the story right from the start.
I think I found myself enjoyably surprised at how unique the premise of this book was. Sometimes the fantasy/romantasy genre can get a little repetitive, but this book had a fun fresh concept.
I will not be giving spoilers because you NEED to read this, but the chemistry and the tension between Arabella and Akeayln is Michelin star worthy. (Side note Akeayln WOW...As if I didn't need another book boyfriend to obsess over.)

I’m not a big fantasy reader, I sincerely mean that. The world building just takes forever for me and I want the action to start, whether smutty or not. Now I say that to say, there was world building in this but she added a component that keeps me invested and it was not dragged out, which I absolutely loved.
Ari is a little aggravating but considering what she has been through and what she is trying to accomplish, I give her a pass. I do absolutely love her sarcastic remarks and sassy opinions. She does become my girl, especially when she meets Akealyn. Stages of my initial perception of Ari: 1) oh no, dang girl we both need to get in shape lol, 2) nah baby, I’m taking revenge, 3) owee babygirl, you a good one because I would have been disappeared on them, 4) yessss bihhh, he isn’t all that, 5) alright now, we may want to rethink, he is all that, 6) I can’t say bc it would give something away

Listennnnn, there aren’t enough words to say how much I love this book. The inner monologue and banter between characters is like a gift from the gods. The tension that you can feel between Arabell and Akeayln is as thicc as my thighs. I love Brim, so sassy.
The premise of the book is amazing and it has me constantly wondering wtf is going on and where home girls dad is lol.
Meanwhile, I really want to push Ari’s mom and sister off the nearest cliff because CUNTS.
I have so many questions as to what happens next….

This book is easily in my top five favorite books of all time. It had me hooked from page one! I’m not usually a romantasy kind of girl but holy crap did this book change my mind! The way the world is described makes me feel like I’m actually transported into the story! The FMC is extremely relatable and hilarious. The MMC is full of him self in the best way. And brim is just adorable. Can’t wait for book two!!

E.R. I love your writing style! I’m very picky about my fantasy romance, but the way you built this world made me absolutely love it! I’m so blessed to have been able to read it early!

I absolutely loved this first book in the Chaos and Light duet!!!!! It brings incredible world building, invoking emotions and so much tension and chemistry. I have so many questions and am so excited to jump into the next book!!!!!

MY NEW ROMANTASY OBSESSION!!
OMG this author deserves a huge shout out for her amazing story she brought to life in what I can only say is now my favorite romantasy of 2026!!
If you love a unique story that spans different realms where a witch can jump from one book to another for the chance to find her missing father that apparently has left her clues, then you will absolutely want this book now!!
Not only does this author paint a beautiful magnificent world with her descriptive word play that leaves you wanting to escape to these magical worlds. You can expect another gripping story where we watch Ari the fmc who lives a traumatic life with a horrible mother & sister that disregard her at every turn. She's a witch with unbelievably rare powers that have been suppressed by her mother after her father has mysteriously vanished. I absolutely love this character because she has a sweet nature still after having the worst things happen to her. She also has a sassy side as well that will start to unfold the more she let's herself understand her powers finally.
Akealyn the prince of light & chaos is a fun mmc with his cocky broody alphahole side who very much doesn't want a bride and finds himself making things more complicated for the women who will be in this brides war for the chance to marry him. He is extremely mischievous and has this cocky demeanor that slips at times as Ari starts to show how powerful she is during each trial. If you love your mmc that has the love to hate him vibes then you will absolutely love him!!
This book was absolutely captivating and once you start you won't wanna stop. The story is unique and the pacing is on point with heartbreaking moments, suspense, action, banter, and a few lusty moments woven in as well. Yes this book ends on a cliffhanger but fear not because the author is releasing book 2 quickly leaving you with enough time to read and fall in love with this magical story and be ready for the next part. I highly recommend this book it is hands down a perfect escape read that has such a vivid world-building which makes you feel every sense you have as you read, they will be touched by her descriptive imagery she paints along the way. Hands down a top 2026 read for me!!
