Petra Larson is a head turner; people notice her more than other women. Young, smart and confident, she is an example of a beautiful, successful woman who appears to have it all, but there is more to her than meets the her job at a lettings agency cloaks a dangerous and lucrative secret life. Jerry Byrne meanwhile is a normal guy working in a normal job, preferring a quiet, normal life. When Petra is brutally raped, there's only one person she can turn to - her boss, Jerry Byrne. Following attacks on other women and when a fatal accident takes place in suspicious circumstances, something must be done to end the violence and it is only when Jerry's life is set on a collision course with Petra's that he discovers what she is capable of. Forced to react, one way or the other, how will the normally indecisive Jerry respond? Will he support her actions? Can he remain within the law? Will this mean the end for them?

Welcome to B.L Miller Books. Thanks for visiting our page! My Texan writing partner and I both wanted to be a writers. It is how we met four years ago and we instantly clicked. Ever since we have collaborated in almost every project. We brainstorm our ideas and she can be a persistant but supportive critic. All our books about strong independant women with a strong BDSM, LGBT theme running through them. She introduces the softer more submissive, DDLG input into our books, leaving me with the more dominant aspects of our work. This reflects our relationship too

We like to write books about events that are uncomfortable or make people think about the world around them. Some of the themes in our books include BDSM, female domination, rape, vigilante justice, revenge, sex trafficking, abusive relationships and religious zealots.

We don't consider our books overly dark but they do have serious topics. It's not all rainbows and sunshine! You will find romance and humor. Petra and Jaz (our two main characters) are strong bisexual or lesbian women who face everyday issues, live their lives to the fullest and never back down from a challenge! We hope you enjoy reading about them as much as we have enjoyed writing about them.

We have recently ventured into the world of short stories and have published several of these as well. These short stories are full of steamy sex, domination and BDSM but still retain the same endearing characters and interesting storylines as our full length novels.

My Review - The Ice Queen by B L Miller

I loved the cover of this books and was immediately drawn to it. The touch of the Prada handbag through the whole novel was also a nice touch!

The Good
The story and premise behind this book were well thought out. I enjoyed much of the book and read it all in one sitting this morning.

The Bad
Adding the Fifty Shades and Dragon Tattoo elements were fun (Larson, Larrson) as I have read both books. I adore the second book and have actually read it several times! The difference between this book and the others though is that the author "told" most of this story. There was little use for imagination as much of the story was explained. This made the book dull in places, especially around the funeral scenes, office scenes and Ruth scenes.

The Ugly
What happened, the rape, two identities etc. All of this is ugly but the storyline of this book was clever. I enjoyed it! However, because it was too looooonnnnnggg in some places I am giving it 3.7 mysterious stars that will be rounded off to 4!
