I have read most of Lisa Lace's stuff, and really enjoyed it. So when I saw this, I was expecting something similar to her TerraMates series, but nope, it was very different. They are the same in the sense that they are all sci-fi, but the feel of the story was very different. I didn't connect with Bethany as much as I would have liked, and there are a few moments in the story that are over the top, but neither of those things took away from my enjoyment of the story. One of the things I love about sci-fi romance is the ability to let go of reality and just flow along with the story. This book is perfect for that. The story line is a lot of fun, and there are many twists and turns. There is action, excitement, drama, and a lot of sexiness. The writing and pace are great, and it was easy for me to slip into this other world. If you are looking for a fun story to take you away, then this is one you should read!

An action packed romance that will definitely keep upu very warm at night.
Klowix is commander of the kings army. When his assistant gets in a new woman in his harem. He hopes for the best. That this is finally the one he is waiting for. Only he didn't know some very important facts of how she ended up in his harem of women.... and thats not all a rebellion is about to begin and it will all but tear him apart to keep what is meant to be his finally.
Bethany's life might of been plain. But she should of listened to her mother about the path. If only she listen, she wouldn't be in the predicament she is now. A human woman being sold as a slave to an unknown alien. Who will be her master? And will she have a chance at a normal life.

OMG!!! I want to gauge my eyes out! What hell did I just read. I literally cannot believe that I wasted precious time on this book. I could have been reading something sooo much better.

1. This book needs a sound editing.

2. The plausibility is non existent.

3. The insta romance is bland, trivial and just awful.

4. The sex - 👎🏼 dry...dry...dry...like in really life it’s painful when dry.

Enough said...avoid like the plague.

***WARNING: BEWARE OF SPOILERS!***

I just want to say, I hate giving bad reviews! People usually labor over their stories and reading stories are near to my heart but . . .

This book was so BAD I don't even know where to start.

What a cluster mindfuck.

Bethany, the main character, was just a new level of retarded. She was just a wealth of retardiness from the very beginning when she got abduction – this chick KNEW the way she was walking alone was a sure way to get abducted by slavers and still she went merrily on her way on that route . . . because it was hot outside. I love alien abduction romances but this was executed horrendously.

Bethany knew that she should go right now and find Klowix and tell him she wanted to go home. This was insane, he could kill her. She had to tell him. She didn’t want to, though. She reflected on Klowix’s firm grip on her shoulder, his strong muscles flexing as he drew her essence out. The danger almost added to the pleasure of it. She wanted it again, even if it did risk killing her. She must be going crazy.

I absolutely hated Klovix. He was supposed to be Bethany's so-called alien soulmate but he was just awful.

What a joke.

This story does not qualify as a romance. There is zero romantic connection between Bethany and Klowix. Bethany was a knowingly clingy fool for Klowix. Klowix, who had some serious anger issues, barely had a substantial conversation with Bethany in all the time she was on his planet, stuck inside his house, and did not give a flying fuck what Bethany did or did not want to be done to her. This dude was essentially an energy vampire who feed on Bethany's soul. So much that she nearly died a couple of times. This was after they had sex for the first time and she practically died after he sucked out her essence:

“Klowix finally spoke. “You have been distant.” Bethany opened her mouth to say she didn’t know what, but before she could utter a word, Klowix’s hand was on her shoulder again. She gasped in shock, then in pleasure, as he began drawing her essence out of her. Bethany moaned and fell back against the couch. It went on longer this time. In fact, Bethany began to feel weak, weaker by the moment. It felt like Klowix was drawing the life out of her – which, of course, he was. Finally, he removed his hand. Bethany slumped back, still dizzy with pleasure, but unable to force her muscles to move. Klowix called out to Trili. He didn’t wait for her to come, but strode off.”

But WAIT! It gets better: As soon as she BARELY gained consciousness, he'd suck from her again.

He sat down next to Bethany again and put a hand over hers. For a moment, she thought he was making a tender gesture, but she gasped as she felt the familiar pleasure tingle through her. She noticed that Klowix had what she could only describe as a bracelet on under his uniform, but she couldn’t focus on it for long; she was too busy moaning in bliss. When Klowix was done, his face was flushed, and Bethany felt weak and limp. She should let him send her home. Could her heart keep beating? Could her lungs keep inflating with him taking more and more from her? Even though it felt so good, she should tell him to let her go. She opened her mouth to do so, but different words came out. “I don’t want to go back. I want to stay here.”
This bitch almost died AGAIN and JUST woke up and he's back to sucking out her soul... while she's just regaining consciousness in bed after fighting for her life... without permission or a second-thought... then leaves her feeling weak again like not happened ... And Bethany still wants to stay. I cannot make this shit up!

Once Bethany even managed to grow some kind of spine to tell Klowix stop and he basically said no.

Almost absent-mindedly, Klowix put his hand on her breast. Bethany watched as a silvery substance began to flow outward to his hand – her essence. She gasped and felt her nipples tingle. She could feel the strength leaving her body. With every breath, it got harder to take another. She gasped. “Please stop.” Klowix’s eyes were closed, and he shook his head. “You are fine.” Bethany wanted to panic, but she felt too good. When Klowix finally took his hand away, she sighed both in relief and disappointment. Klowix called to the next room. “Trili!” Bethany blushed as Trili, Beoli and Lizzy came in. They took no notice of her nakedness and quickly transferred some of their essence to her, then left without speaking. Klowix sat up. “We should go and spend some time with your friends. I need to make sure they are happy here. I feel like I have been neglecting them of late.” Bethany tried to reassure him. “They don’t mind.”
“Still, I should do more to entertain them.”

There are so many things fucked up with that scene, I am not even going to dignify it by pointing the issues out.

He just laughed and put an arm across her shoulder, pulling yet more essence out of her. Bethany wanted to protest, but her mouth didn’t seem to be working. She fell back against the seat.
This book is so fucking strange ...what is wrong with these people.

This asshat, Klowix, would suck this girl to the brink of death . . . then she would act as if that shit was cool and nothing happened!
Bethany was glad for the excuse to take his hand. She expected him to help her up, but first, Klowix gripped her hand tightly, pulling more of her essence out. Bethany’s legs suddenly went limp, but he didn’t wait. With a great leap, he pulled her back up into the water. Bethany panicked. Her limbs were still weak with pleasure and didn’t want to move. Her head was underwater. Perhaps Klowix didn’t realize how much he was draining her. His hand was still in hers, and within a few moments he had pulled her up to the top. Bethany brushed off the moment, but couldn’t help wondering how many moments there would be before something irreversible happened to her. Even that thought couldn’t convince herself to say the words, to tell Klowix she wanted to go home. She truly was crazy.
Yes, bitch! You are out of your Goddamn mind! And not even in the good way!

And do not get me started on the DRY ass sex. Shit was always over before it even started. No juicy details, no chemistry. And, let’s be honest, we read these books for the hot sex with tall, muscled, massive-dicked aliens. Come on, don’t try to deny it . . .

His pants were still on and she didn’t like it. She moved to take them off, but Klowix grabbed her hands. “Getting a little too excited, are we?” The effect was somewhat ruined by the way he was panting. “If you want them off, ask nicely.” “Please, may I take your pants off?” Klowix leaned close and whispered in her ear. “Go ahead.”
He literally sucks out her soul to near death without asking but she has to ask to take off his pants????

Alas, my rant is over – does it even qualify as a review? But, maybe this was just a terrible first impression since this is the first book I have read by Lace but I hope she redeems herself with the TerraMates series . . .

Happy Reading!

What a crock...

This is about maybe 1/4 of a book, and it gets to the point where she learns she is on a space ship, headed towards another planet, soon to become converted into a completely different, alien species. The end, but the next book, or read them for free with Kindle unlimited.

I'm so disappointed, there is no character development, and it is full of erotica, and not very good erotica either... I won't be wasting any more time on this mess.

This may not be for all readers, I personally found it to be a little to weird. Quick and unusual Sci-Fi about another world/alien story. Interesting beginning but I don't think I will be picking up the remainder book for this set that will be needed to see what happens next. Like I said a few sentences back it was just to far fetched out there kind of read... review will be on my blog in November

Sharing takes two

I really, really wanted to like this book enough to give it 5 stars. It had all of the components to be great, but there was one thing that bugged me about Klowix: he didn't share. So, Klowix is on the search for his secrena. That's like his soul mate. He finds her in Bethany, and they perform the "sharing" ceremony. Since Bethany isn't Evion, she can't draw off some of Klowix's essence, but he can take of hers. And that's all he does. When he takes the maximum amount, he doesn't give some of his back. No, he calls some friends of Bethany's to share theirs with her. What happened to sharing. To me that doesn't feel like he cares enough about her. Bethany also worries that he's taking too much, and instead of explaining that he would never do this to her, he just tells her that she will be fine. I know this is trite, but sharing is caring. How did he share with her? I know that he was this great military commander, but you would think that for his secrena that he could share some of his essence with her AND allay her fears of him taking too much. Like I said, I really wanted to like this book because everything else was great. The action kept the story flowing. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed this book through the Kindle Unlimited program too.

The Alien🐺🔪🔫 General's Fated Mate💘

Bethany💋💔 was abducted from Earth 🌍by alien slavers, beaten, then sold at auction. Her buyer is Untri, a scout for an alien General, Klowix. Untri is buying women for a harem, Bethany💋💔 is told.
Bethany💋💔 just wants to go home, even though where she lives on 🌎Earth is desolate.
Untri takes her to the General's mansion on Telion🌍. General Klowix🐺🔪🔫 is an Evion, a tall, handsome, imposingly ripped💪, human like man. There are other women there, about half are Evions, and the other half are human women.
Bethany tries to make herself small, to fade into the background, not attract his attention. She doesn't know the rules he has made for the women, but she soon learns. The others were recruited for money, she was kidnapped.

Klowix🐺🔪🔫🍆 is looking for his fated mate. He is only looking for one woman💃, but he figures with a group he has a bigger chance of finding her.
Klowix 🐺🔪🔫🍆🌋picks her out, she cannot hide from him! He knows....and with one touch, Bethany💋💕 knows, too!

YEHAW! Ride em Bareback,🍆 Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

This is an interesting take on the alien fated mate💘 plot, because there are a group of women who all want The same man! Bethany💋💔 tries to deny the bond for much of the book📑, but its no use.

Race War

About 147 pages Abduction by Lisa Lace now ranks as my favorite books of hers. When I started reading this story I wasn't too sure what to expect I thought this would be more like the bride series but it’s not. This book for some reason seems to be more fulfilling in the terms of a story line.

Lisa has taken more time with the characters building them up and flushing out their own unique personalities, foibles and skill sets. By providing the characters with layers she was able to build the story even more than she's done in the past. This is just not a one dimensional kind of story. Giving these woman those abilities allowed them to show they were survivors and not victims of their circumstances.

Now I will own that the female lead was just a tad annoying in her naivete about the slavers. I found it had to determine her age. When first captured I thought a young teen with optimism about escape then it when she ended up on the planet then she was like the baby sister to the other ladies and her wanting to go home. Then she switched midstream to wanting the lead.

I give this story 4 stars as it held my interest until I finished the book in one sitting.

There's so many red flags in the beginning, it's like a teenager in the early 2000's writing a fanfic where you should already know the characters and the world in order to enjoy the story because you're not getting much.
The beginning is so rushed, you don't even know what Bethany looks like til a few pages in and I didn't have any reason to care about her getting abducted. It's like a one minute news blurb on TV before they move on to the next five.
The world building is so sketchy, just enough to give you the barest minimal idea of this kind of reality because the authors really want to get to the "good part" so why would anyone need to get invested in the characters?
The main guy is also bland. He's rich, gorgeous, and a military leader. Do I care? No. There's no reason to. Also, he's like an energy vampire, slowly killing the main girl but the process is an endorphin high that she can't say no. Especially, when she actually does manage to speak, he tells her she's fine. That's a red flag for me when it comes to couples. So after a couple more pages I find I can't keep reading this so these are my thoughts and opinions on the first bit of the book.

Abduction: A Science Fiction Alien RomanceKindle Edition

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review

Once again, Lisa Lace has done it again. Abduction is part Red Riding Hood (don't take the wrong path), part Pied Piper (the heroine is kidnapped) and part Beauty and the Beast with a touch of Tarzan

The fairy tale feel set in another world where a human woman is abducted to be sold on auction. Bethany is saved by Klowix, who is seeking his soul mate – his screna.

Adventures and female bonding fill this book. Once again Lisa's talent shines through.

My only complaint it why is that every abducted or alien/human relationship has to end with children? Women can be perfectly happy without them.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Any abduction romance is going to be tricky because if he truly is the abductor, you don't want to like the character or have the woman fall in love with him, but if he really isn't the villain, that is easier to accept. So, I am able to say that I enjoyed the story.

There are parts that are very alien and hard for me to visualize and understand but the basic story line was entertaining. At first, you kind of wondered like Bethany if Klowix was taking advantage of her with the strange sharing thing but then later find out that he was really looking out for her.

I also was not sure if Klowix had found his soul mate in Bethany when he was ready to send her away for her safety and didn't even consider running away together.

Very imaginative alien world and experience added to the romantic intrigue so it was a fun read.

Couldn’t even finish

The MC’s feeling jumped around to much for no reason. She did things that went against what she had just decided in her head she was going to do. And not like because in the heat of the moment she changed her mind. She would literally decide in her head she was leaving and not going to do anything with the main guy, then send a message to the guy that she wanted to have sex when he gets home, and continue to insist in her head she was leaving and angst about how she shouldn’t get to close to the guy. It’s one thing to say that with the super sexy guy in front of her the MC just can’t help herself and is overcome with lust and makes a stupid decision, it’s another to say she can’t control herself while he is at work so she texts him there agreeing to sex while insisting that she is going to stay far way from him.

🌶 Spicy, Enticing, Exciting and Mesmerizing 🌶
In this enthralling book we get to know a young lovely human woman who is captured and abducted by alien slave traders. This could have ended very badly, but luck was with her and she ends up in a household of a high ranking commander who is looking for his soulmate. This is where the book could have gone stereotype but it doesn't. With the swift pace that is like a current thru the book we get to know all the characters around her, some extra ordinary traits of these aliens, events that adds a spicy thrill, and what is beneath the tough surface of the very stern and strict commander. Its a thrilling read with spice enough to make the screen fog over. And sucker as I might be it even has the HEA i crave. ❤️

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
At first this started to sound similar some of the Terramates books but it didn't concentrate on the stolen mail order bride for long. It was a slow build up but I ended up really enjoying how the story line read out. I loved to read about Klowix. He was a strong and fair commander, alpha, and definitely don't want to piss him off! Bethany, seemed kind of useless for the most part. Pretty much every character contributed in some form or another throughout the book, but Bethany doesn't find her niche until the end of the book. Thankfully this didn't deter me from this book at all!

I admit I wasn’t sure what to expect from the story but it evolved into race wars. Free versus hatred. At first she was abducted, sold, her future uncertain as she found herself on a world filled with a race she had been taught to fear. In a harem atmosphere devoid of jealousy as our hero tries to find his secrena, his soul mate, she learns of the people and makes fast and deep friendships. Unfortunately not all is sunshine and roses as things escalate this book suddenly turns into an action movie. I really enjoyed all the things I learned about their technology, I’d love to try their version of a pool! Spherical water sounds so cool!

I received this as an arc copy.

DNF 60%. The story of earth girl Bethany who is stolen by slavers for alien commander Klowix. This book was just not for me. It felt a bit thrown together with quite a few mistakes in the text. I never connected with any of the characters and the hot scenes were just bland.

I’ve never read a reverse hareem story before and this wasn’t one as I thought it was. It was the classic hareem. A pile of women all happy to wait around indoors all day wearing silk lingerie, shopping to kill time then waiting to serve their commander. Yeah, not my thing.

No one says anything very interesting. The hero didn’t attract me and Bethany felt pretty one-dimensional. Sorry, just not for me.

Abduction by Lisa Lace
Bethany is kidnapped by aliens that stopped her on a road in a spaceship. She is taken and auction of to the highest bidder. Bethany is added to Klowix harem of five other women. Klowix is looking for his true mate. I loved this book. I found this story kept my interest throughout the whole book, it is full of twist and turns. Lisa Lace is one of my favorite writers and every book I have read of hers I have loved. If you want a really good book I highly recommend this one. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.

Meh

This book was just so... meh, everything just sort of happened, it felt very clinical and clean, without feeling. It lacked the grittiness of reality to the point that I couldn’t immerse myself in the story, unlike with really good books I never forgot this wasn’t real, I was always aware this was fiction, I couldn’t get lost in it and, isn’t that why we read?

The hero was lukewarm at best.
The world building was almost nonexistent.
The relationship between the harem girls was so perfect it felt forced.

All in all the story felt fake, forced and too engineered.

When Bethany took a shortcut it changed her life, first she is abducted by slavers then taken to a slave maket and sold. When she is bought for Klowix's harem her life changes once again. Klowix is looking for his secrena (his mate) and the only one out of all his harem to get his attention is Bethany, now all he has to do is keep her safe when the rest of his planet is in upheaval. Through it all Bethany finds that even if she went home again she would never be happy without Klowix and the love that they share.

Dangerous times

Bethany and Klowix are so different from each other, not just because they are two different species. I enjoy alien worlds and how different their culture can be. This story brings so much of that! Being taken as a slave couldn't have been easy but Bethany sure had such strength throughout it. The way different relationships were fostered through this story was quite magical. I wish there was more to this book.

Decent story

This has a pretty good plot, but does lumber about in some areas. There are some typos too. However, overall I enjoyed this book. Bethany is taken from her home and forced to live with a Commander of a other planet. She ends up falling in love so there is a happy ending.

Enjoyable read. Ms. Lace's "alien" stories are always a pleasure to read. I really liked Klowix. Bethany annoyed me at times but since she was kidnapped and sold to slavers I suppose she was allowed to be a little annoying. I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys hot, hunky alien heroes.

Bethany is kidnapped + sold as a slave.
Klowix was just just trying to find his fated mate.
What happens when these 2 meet ?
Is Bethany his fated mate ?

Another Great Alien Romance!

I don't know how she does it, but Lisa Lace has once again created a story that is unique from all of her other alien romance stories. I've read most if not all of her novels and can attest that no two are alike. If alien romance is your thing, go ahead and get this one. You won't be disappointed.

Great story

Great story with lots of romance and hour and steamy scenes. My only complaint was the sudden civil war. It's almost like the story got away from the author. The story would have been much better had the author ended when they realized they were secrena (true loves).

Good

What happened to the war? Which side won? How, if at all, did the king die? All in all a good story. I loved all the characters. Still I'm glad I picked it up. Pick it up yourself and judge it on your own. Loved Kloex and Bethany at first. She was strong but then she grew to be more of a damsel in distress and then strong again.
