I am sooooooo freaking honored to have been apart of The Thread Fire Series ARCs yet again! This one was a fun one!!! I missed the bickering and bantering 🤣 Kyron still speaking before thinking, Maelan still as hot as ever 🥵 Sorcha pushing to do what she believes is right now just for herself but those around her as well. We have a new animal companion toooooooo 😏🤭 After crossing The Veil, we immediately start up where we left off. Sorcha is finding out more about her powers and hinting to new ones??? A surprise proposal??? GASP! What is this??? Dare I say a love triangle forminggggg 🤭 Book two is more action packed and if that’s something of interest wait until you hear about the family drama! 🫣

This book was such fun to read! The story was a little confusing at first since I haven’t read the first book in the series, but I was able to catch up with what was going on. The dialogue between characters is fun and witty. There was a few times I was confused about what was happening while they were moving through the swamp in the beginning of the book, but the rest was an enrapturing story!

I NEED MORE!!! I WANNA LIVE IN THIS BOOK FOREVER!!

I just finished this and gosh it was so good.
the second book in this series has left me craving for more from this amazing world that I delve in.
it was refreshing, it was fun, it was funny too.
firstly, I love the banter, it was spot on and fun to read. the humor in this book had me cackling like a witch, some of the funny moments in here had me doubling over for a moment. 1o/10 humor.
don't get me started with the characters, so well written, leaving me wondering why surprise I find next or what truth surfaces.
the world, gosh I love how Karla describes the surroundings that we find ourselves in, so well detailed and immersive. I can't get enough of these magical places we get to go and venture into. it makes me wanna pack my bags and move there, it is just so beautifully described.
the story line has left me craving for me, I feel like I can't get enough, so many twists and turns, truths being revealed and heart pounding danger, it has left me an emotional mess in a good way. this series got better with the next book. I can't wait for book three, I am itching to read what happens next.
this book is such a page turner, you wanna know what happens next. I will defiantly highly recommend reading this, you are missing out if you haven't already.

Karla has some of the most vividly discriptive writing that Ive ever read. It really just transports you into the world. It reminds me of Sarah A Parker’s writing. It’s honestly one of the main things that I like about the books, the way that she describes the spooky creatures really brings them to life just keeps me glued to the book. I find the creatures so interesting, I’m not sure how she even thinks them up!

‘In the midst of it all was Sorcha, a storm coiled in silence. The gods watched from their heights, some turning their backs on a war they deemed beneath them, others stirring at last for the children they never claimed.’

This is book 2 in the in the series and it picks up exactly where book 1 left off, it was seamless. Sorcha, Kyron and Maclan have just crossed beyond the Veil where ancient creatures roam around ever corner. Unfortunately monsters arnt the only thing they need to worry about. Sorcha starts to uncover the truth about her lineage, which only puts her in more danger. Kingdoms are fracturing and alliances shift, one by one demi gods are being hunted.. Can Sorcha reach them first or will Vaelric reach them first…

Maclan (cat) had a much bigger role in this book which I absolutely loveddddd! His banter with Sorcha is the best, I was laughing and kicking my feet often throughout this book. We also got a new animal companion in this book which I really enjoyed! If you havnt checked out Karla’s artwork of some of the creatures in this book you really should cause it definitely helps bring it to life if your not a visual reader!

I never want to leave this world, I can’t wait for book 3!

ARC Review

Crownless Heirs was a very interesting book that I knew I wanted to read the moment I heard it was rooted in Irish Mythology. As someone of Irish descent, I love reading anything that shines a spotlight on this.

This novel was filled with great moments throughout; the banter felt lively, and the humor was fun without being overbearing. I had a good time reading this; it was a fast read for me, but a good read.

Without going into spoiler territory, we have a magic system, deities, and a plethora of worldbuilding. There is a constant upward growth in this book from the first, which was refreshing to see. Lore and worldbuilding are usually my most critiqued areas of any book, but this was interesting. I would’ve liked to see more development between the characters so we could see those relationships and personal aspects. There were also a few spots that I would have liked to see expanded on further.

Some parts started to get muddled for me; it wasn’t enough to take you out of the story, but it was enough that you registered it in your mind. This was only at certain times, as I believe the pacing was fine besides this, and it flowed as intended.

This picks up right where the first book ended and was fast-paced, but there are questions about the ending that I have left. I’m hoping we see more in book three to help answer these questions.

Overall, I would give this book a 3. I enjoyed reading it, but it was going to be hard to follow up on the first book; though I will definitely be looking forward to ARC reading the third book.

Crownless Heirs thrust us into another world filled with magic, creatures good and evil nature, two love interest, marriage of convenience, betrayal, humor, and shocking revelation's.

Sorcha truly stands out in Crownless Heirs. She truly grows into her power while learning more about her origins which I really loved reading about. Sorcha has never been a damsel and it showed! When she used her strength and power to save herself and those she loves during a devastating plot twist. I just loved her arc in Crownless Heirs!

Kyron and Maelan have some of the most hilarious moments and banter. I love that their banter alleviated some intense moments which balanced Crownless Heirs. I also love that they will do anything for Sorcha. They each respect how they feel towards her which was a breath of fresh air. Love triangle can take a back seat over here!

Talk about details! I could imagine every otherworldly creatures, celtic gods, the atmosphere, the cinematic fighting, the food, the dress, the kiss, and the magic. Karla Molina does an incredible job with beautiful descriptions!

This was truly an adventure! I am ready to see where the journey will take Sorcha, Kyron, Maelan, and their new companions in the book 3 in The Threadfire Series!

Once again, I’m left absolutely needing more. This book doesn’t just pick up where Book One ended: it launches you straight back into a different world. Sorcha’s character growth is nothing short of amazing, and I know I’m not the only one still reeling from that Cat/Maelan twist. The banter between Maelan and Kyron is top notch. Their dynamic had me laughing out loud more times than I can count. And as for Rihanna and Valik… I’m not even going to open that door. Or the avalanche of truths Sorcha uncovers about herself.

This story is so well written, but what truly consumed me was the worldbuilding. It’s so vivid and immersive, that you don’t just read it; you fall headfirst into it. Every detail pulls you in deeper until you’re completely lost in a world that feels impossibly real.

And now here I am, sitting with a thousand unanswered questions and absolutely no patience. Where is Book Three? I need it.

If you’re craving a story with lush worldbuilding, mythical creatures you’ve never seen before, and a love triangle that keeps you guessing, this is the book you should be reading. Crownless Heirs releases on September 1, 2026. It's one you're going to want to read.

This is book two in the Threadfire series and I had so much fun reading it! The world building in this story is phenomenal. I mean, there is no detail missed at all. Colors, sounds, smells, foods…it was all so descriptive and I absolutely love that in a fantasy. Karla added so many creatures to this story too! There are skeletal horses, a nasty toad, fairies, merrow…so many. You truly get the sense you’re in a fantasy world.

Now for characters, Sorcha has a lot of character growth in this book and I loved to see it. There’s one character in particular that has quite the plot twist, with another plot twist attached to that, and I was shocked by both. Kyron, I love him. He’s serious, broody, and I just want to give him a hug. 🥺 I loved the banter between them all, especially Kyron and Maelan. They had me cracking me up.

This story was action-packed from start to finish. It will definitely keep you engaged because there are no real slow moments. It was a very fast-paced, easy read. There is also some romantic tension and a bit of romance, but this is definitely a more plot driven story rather than romance.

I am really enjoying this series so much and I cannot wait to get further into it! Need book three!

We continue right where book 1 left off. While I do appreciate how immediate the story continues, if I hadn't have read book 1 immediately before book 2, I feel the beginning would confuse some readers - definitely would need a refresh if it had been a while.

I enjoyed Sorcha's journey and the world building. We are introduced to new characters - both with and against us - as well as new additions to our merry band of fighters.

I did want Riona's story to be elaborated on. I felt that for as much time we spent following her solo journey, it very quickly ended. I also felt there was a disconnect with the timeline between when she and he met vs being at the castle.

Overall the story moves forward pretty consistently and I can see their journey. I am hoping some characters we were briefly introduced to make a comeback later on in the series.

Crownless Heirs continues the story of Sorcha, Kryon, and 'Cat' s they travel to the Otherworld.
I love the twist that happens with Cat. He is definitely one of my favorites, and I didn't see it coming. The tension that it adds is so good! Plus, Sorcha gets a new pet ( no spoilers) who is just as loveable as Cat.
However, the story plot with Riona and Vaelric, I definitely felt like I was missing pieces of it and needed more information. We go from her helping him to escape to being with Vaeleric and his father, Bres, for what seems to be like months. More backstory is definitely needed here.
There are also a couple of confusing scenes where a character was brought in, like Niall or Aiden, with no reference or introduction. Then, approximately 5 to 6 Pages later, we get the explanation as to who they are. It was very awkward and confusing.

Crownless Heirs is a fast paced fantasy with the most beautiful vibrant world I have ever seen on page!

From the first few pages of the first book in this series, Sorcha mesmerized me. She is kind, strong, and determined. I absolutely love her as an FMC and really enjoyed seeing her character growth throughout this second book.

Cat. Need I say more? I don’t want to give spoilers, but wow. Some things aren’t what they seem!

The only thing that was lacking in this book was that I wish it was longer to allow more time for relationship building and world building. We moved so quickly from one thing or place to the next that it was sometimes hard to keep up.

Overall, what a wonderful addition to the series! I left book too with so many more questions and desire to want to know more!

I really enjoyed returning to this world and seeing more of its people, politics, and magic. The world expands nicely from the first book, and I liked how the stakes steadily ramped up throughout the story.

The pacing fit the plot well and made this a very easy read. I stayed engaged and enjoyed seeing the wider world and its conflicts unfold.

Some of the relationship developments surprised me a bit, especially how the story seemed to move from one possible love triangle into another without much buildup. I would have liked to “see” the feelings build up a little more, but I did like that everyone seems accepting of a possible “why choose” situation.

Overall, Crownless Heirs was an enjoyable continuation that deepened the world, raised the stakes, and left me excited to see where the series goes next.

Threadfire Series stole my heart this year and Veil of Embers was one of my favorite books this year💖💖💖
Story continues with book 2, Crownless Heirs, in all the unexpected ways, with twists and turns, with 2 am gasps, with love, passion and rivalry that I did not see coming🙌
Karla’s writing style is descriptive and immersive and for an avid fantasy reader like myself, that is a ticket straight to this amazing and scary world.
Without adding spoilers, I have to admit I absolutely loved the banter between MMCs! There is a new animal companion that is my absolute favorite 💖


Overall? Easy 5 stars! Series I cannot recommend enough when it comes to dark epic fantasy romance deeply rooted in Irish folklore💖💖💖

Great 2nd book to the series! This picks up right where book 1 left off. First off Cat?? I had to read that twice then was like okay!!

The action in this book is non stop! All the new mythical monsters that pop up 😱 The way Karla does her world building is so descriptive and immersive makes you feel like you’re right there with these characters. It will have you turning page after page.

I loved the banter between Maelan and Kyron I was cracking up! Let the best man win! Sorcha has a lot of growth in this book uncovering her lineage and I’m here for it!

That ending Karla how do you just end the book like that! I can’t wait for the next book in the series! Thank you for letting me read and review an ARC copy of your book!

ARC Review! - For starters, WOW. Just wow, this book was like a storm that brought all the best type of chaos. The banter was top tier, the settings were perfect and all the creatures were different then what i usually read about. All of it was just so amazing and everything really brought the story together. Everything was described so vividly too, i felt like i was literally living in the story with these characters. Speaking of characters, all of them had so much growth and character development in Crownless Heirs. We also got to see Maelan more which i LOVED, he is definitely my favorite character!

All around this was definitely a 5 ⭐️ read and i will forever be recommending Crownless Heirs!

I am grateful for this ARC opportunity! Where book one felt like mostly world building, there comes quite a bit more meat to the story in book 2 and I'm so hooked! The characters grow and evolve, the challenges grow more perilous, and the future looks more and more grim.

I love you, Maelan and Noctis 😭🐈‍⬛🐺 and I can't wait to find out how the journey fares now. I quite like that book 2 picked up immediately and exactly where book 1 ended. And I'm always down for bickering gods lol.

Please let book 3 bless us soon, I want to acquire more familiars and find more sentient places with hilarious attitudes and personalities. There's so much character hiding in these pages, and I really like how the magic shapes this world and the people living within it!

I’d already read the first book, so I was excited to jump back into this world with Crownless Heirs, but I did not expect to have this much fun with it. There are gods, monsters, danger and some pretty dark moments, but there were also so many scenes that made me laugh. The humor feels like the way people talk when they're tired, scared and stuck with each other.
The world is beautiful too. It's built on Irish mythology, and you can tell the author loves it, not just borrowed a few names. Sorcha grows so much in this one and I loved watching her figure out where she belongs. And that ending? Yeah, I need the next book as soon as possible.

I got this book as a member of the ARC team, and while I didn't have the context from the first book, I really enjoyed this one!

From the first page I was dropped into the Otherworld and treated to the perils and delights it has to offer right beside our main characters! The tension and companionship between Sorcha, Maelan, and Kyron is evident from the jump. Their banter and obvious love for each other is great!

And did I mention magic, vivid world building, and gods who turn out to be neglectful parents?

If you enjoy fantasy with vivid world-building, Irish mythology, and intricate hidden details, I highly recommend reading the Threadfire series.

I was an ARC reader for The Crownless Heir, the second book in the series, and it truly feels like a mix of Tolkien, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Harry Potter. The story features incredible symbolism, political intrigue, a marriage of convenience, a cheeky MMC, a "why choose" dynamic, and a wonderful found family trope. It is pure magic, complete with lost kingdoms, shape-shifting, adventure, and deep lore involving gods and goddesses.

If you are looking for a fantastic new read filled with adventure and clever easter eggs, definitely check this series out!

This book is an adventure! I love books that immerse you in another world. This is an immersive read where you can smell and envision the world you are reading about.

I love when books have darker elements to them. Creepy creatures are one of my favorite things to read about in a book. This book had The Brothers Grimm vibes mixed with Percy Jackson.

I think a lot of people will enjoy reading this book. I definitely recommend reading it and I hope there will be a continuation of The Threadfire Series.

Picking up immediately where the first book left off, Book 2 plunges straight through the portal into a new realm.

Just as we got used to the quiet romantic tension of the first book, the arrival of a new MMC throws a whole new dynamic into the mix, sparking a fresh love triangle driven by high-stakes necessity - he needs a queen to solidify his rule and she needs an army.

Both books introduce you to creative world-building, new creatures, prophecy, character growth and gods.

Honestly this started off a little slow. But boy oh boy am I glad I kept reading!!
There is so much action and creatures in this story.
But it is written in such a way that you never get overwhelmed or feel lost.
Morcha, Trying, Maelan & Noctis is who I want as my battle buddies.
Does leave with a huge cliffhanger and I need more!!!!

I really enjoyed the three main characters.
I was drawn in at the beginning figuring out their dynamics. There was a lot of creativity in what they face and how they get together.
Once they leave beyond the Veil things become much more venturesome.
Sorcha learns more about her family Kyron and Maelan support her.
I enjoyed the adventures they get into and their relationships.

I finished this book or did it finish me. I got to 99% and started screaming NO NO NO NO NO in my head because I knew I wasn't going to get to find out what I wanted. On to waiting for book three. Eeeek! The world Karla Molina has built in book 2 is beautiful and dangerous. If you know any legends of the Fae and how it is, you'll be completely satisfied with how she captured the otherworld. And the banter, especially between Kyron and Maelan is something of a great and unwilling friendship.

We just right back into it and oh wow, are there some twists that had my jaw dropping right in the beginning!! We continue to follow them on their quest and I was holding my breath at so many points! The authors descriptions are so good and I am able to visualize everything with such detail!! I need to know how this will end!!!

It was so good to get back to Sorcha’s adventures. As expected she and her companions jumped right into their journey and kept me reading to see what would happen next. So many surprises made this such a fun book to read. I loved the lore and Irish mythology blended into the book. This is the second book in The Threadfire Series. You will want to read Veil of Embers to really enjoy this book.

I prefer this book over the first one. I loved reading about the monsters Sorcha, “Cat”, iyky, and Kyron face in the other realm.
I did NOT see the story behind Cat or the identity of Sorcha’s brother. So that was a great surprise! If you’re trying to get into fantasy books, this series is for you!

I am so honored to have received the arc copy of this book.
This book took my breath away, it kept me hooked the whole time. The world building was amazing you can definitely tell Karla put some real work into the story. This is one of the best books I have read all year! I loved it so much i bought a kindle copy and physical copies! I can't wait to read it again!
