Again, Ava does not disappoint. She NAILED this new, amazing story. I LOVE the concept of the pretend boyfriend. I have never read a pretend boyfriend. Just a pretend girlfriend story. And I LOVED every single second. It was HOT, Xander is hot and he will give Jacob a run for his money. And he made me swoon, I just love him and soo excited to see where the story goes. And I hope Penny's sister face plants into her wedding cake. What a major beotch she is. But she brings the drama for sure. Cannot wait to see what they know about Xander in the second part. A must read series for sure!

Only 1 stars mainly b/c it was $2.99 & only 73 pgs plus not even a finished book. It should have only been .99 if not a free book to give reviews. Shame on this author for taking advantage of not being able to see the ebook first. I now don't trust this author.

I liked parts of Ava's new series but it felt like some things were too rushed. I did like how they met, but I thought it was a strange place to have a bachelorette party. I like Xander, I felt he knew what he needed and when he saw the opportunity of how an arrangement could benefit them both he jumped on it but then it everything seemed to change quickly. I thought it would take some time for them to get to know each other, let us read about them spending some time together so they are comfortable around each others family, get to know likes and dislikes to a point so it is believable. I was concerned with how quickly it seems Penny is falling for him, they have only known each other for like a few days if that and it seems like she loves him already. I also thought it was strange how quickly he went from not caring about the women he slept with to having deep feelings for Penny, once again too soon. Then they broke her "rules" during their very first outing, that was disappointing. Both of their families are mean and selfish, I understand why Xander is angry with his father, it is terrible that he does not get any praise for his hard work, only conditions put on him. Then we have Penny's mother who is always hounding her about something and her mean sister that treats her like dirt most of the time, and lets her friends treat her the same, I hate how Penny cowers when around them. I do love that they have each other to support one another when their families are treating them like this, I like how they turn to each other, these moments are my favorite parts of the book. I thought their surprise visit to his family home was strange, still not sure what that accomplished except for an opportunity for Xander to say a very hurtful thing to Penny which she let slide way too quickly. I did like the supportive nature of their relationship so I will read the next one to see if that is what they build on.

I don’t know why I fall for these— the first of three parts that make a novel. I am not going to buy the next books because I haven’t yet found a book where I could be bothered to. Even the good ones don’t get me over the ire I feel at being taken for a fool. And this one was only just okay.
This book annoyed me because of the waste. Families who are too aware of promoting their worth and a male protagonist who orders a huge meal for the two of them and then takes her off to dinner in a winery that he has secured for the two of them — If that is what having money is about, then it is just as well I don’t have any.

Cliff hanger alert!
Don't read unless you want to buy a book to finish the story, this ending is a cheat. I'm beginning to believe I should check out the ending before I read the books. I've been running into to many of these lately. That said, I enjoyed the part of the story line that was there. I also liked the characters and enjoyed the dialogue. I thought it was well written and gripping. Unfortunately I got alienated by the cliffhanger. I don't like being manipulated. If a book is free it should be a whole book.

It seems like I'm on an Ava Claire kick these days, it's because I'm on her Advanced Review Team (which means she sends me books she writes before they're published, and I write reviews of what I think of them), and she's been cranking them out almost faster than I can read them. This is unfortunate only in the fact that it leaves me little time to read other things. I'm willing to make that sacrifice, however, because I've found that I love her books! This book, Because You Want Me, is no exception.
You'd think that one person could write only so many books about billionaires finding their one true loves before those stories started sounding the same. I'll admit, Xander isn't very different than the other billionaires. He's got everything at his disposal, a tormented family life, and is driven to be a success. Penny, however, is very different from Ava's female halves of the couples in her other stories. Without saying too much (I don't like to do spoilers), I can't say that I've come across a female character in any other book with the issues that Penny has. They're nothing earth-shattering; but they definitely are new to me. They make me wonder where the book is going to go in the long run, and give the book some leeway to have some funky twists.
The length of this book is only 71 pages. This may not seem like a long book, but by comparison to Ava's typical releases (usually between 30 and 40 pages), it's veritably huge! I found the length to be just enough to make me feel like I'd actually read something with substance, yet it wasn't too long to manage in a short while. Ava has said that this series will be broken into three equal parts; so watch for her next one, Because You Need Me, on June 26.

But I cared what Penny thought. And not just of me. I cared what she thought period. Usually the only words I cared about from women I desired were yes and how soon they could get to whatever suite I’d arranged for the night. Yet every word Penny had uttered seemed to draw me closer. It was an unraveling of sorts, the ribbon unfurling into the darkness, the bottom unseen. The loss of control, the out of character need to see where this led, to get to know her, was unsettling. I enjoyed reading this...it was also however a bit lack luster for me but I think it had to due with the fact that this was the first book in a series. It also like most of Ava Claire's serial novels got better the further you read and by the end you are pulled in and needing to know how this are going to play out next.
The characters are good, and fleshed out well...we got a bit of background information on both Xander and Penny in this first installment. With this being a serial series a lot of people always want to know if there is a cliffhanger and the answer is yes...is it a bad cliffhanger? No. Without giving anything away that's pretty much all I can and will say on that.
Also if you are looking forward to a lot of steamy scenes in this one, then you going to be disappointed...this installment was more of a lead into rather than a jump right into the steam which I like better.
I am looking forward to seeing how this new story turns out...not to mention just what Penny's sister Violet knows about Xander.
Would I recommend this book? I mean if I knew the person liked serial novels (which a lot of people don't) then yeah I would...I would recommend not just this book but the author in general because I really enjoy her writing.

Just when she is ready to leave her sister and her pretentious friends to do as they please, her eyes lock with the most incredibly handsome man she has ever laid eyes on. XANDER WADE is just looking to find a girl for the night. Tomorrow he has to get down to the serious business of interviewing women as a possible girlfriend to appease his rigid father, who has changed his will to try to rein in his son in. I loved this book from the start. From the way Penny and Xander first meet all the way till the end. I can't wait for Penny and Xander's story to continue in book two. I have always been #TeamWhitmore (Jacob Whitmore from His Submissive and The Billionaire Dom Diaries Series) but I think Xander Wade may give Jacob Whitmore a run for his money.
Ava Claire is always bringing us awesome stories and this time is no different. Keep those sexy alpha males coming please!!

Wow! Ava Claire nailed this story! I loved it!! Xander needs a girlfriend to satisfy an edict from his father to continue as CEO of his father's company. He must keep a girlfriend for a month or surrender the company to his sister. He's worked too hard to just pass it off to her! Penny needs to have a boyfriend/date for her upcoming sister's wedding. She's not seeing anybody but would love to upstage her "beautiful" sister for once and have a gorgeous man on her arm. When a strange situation presents itself, Xander and Penny agree to pretend to be boyfriend/girlfriend and after a month go their separate ways and Penny would get some cash for her trouble. Oh, and no sex! When some odd feelings start to get in the way, the no sex agreement looks like its may hit the trash can! Can they continue with the stipulations of their agreement or will they complicate things?? I can't wait to find out! Bring on part two!!!

Penny is a great woman. She is smart, educated and has a wonderful job teaching and advocating for special need children. All of this does not matter to her family, especially her mother and sister. With the wedding of her sister right over the horizon she is bound to be there for his sister and her evil friends. For the “Last Night Single” Penny’s sisters friends thinks is a great idea to go to a sex bar where anything goes. Completely out of place Penny tries hard to hide in the shadows. Xander Wade is a very successful business man. He works hard, and loves to play even harder. He is all about the sex them and leaves them after. Spotting Penny across the room he is intrigued. He needs to know more about her. He wants Penny. They exchange salutations and nothing more. After leaving to go get drinks that’s when things get interesting. Ava Clair has sparked a winner with this story! Her characters are well developed and there is much room for surprises. Where will this bet/arrangement take you? $20K for 30 days!

Love Penny and Xander. Ava Claire grabbed me from the first paragraph. Penny is standing outside a strip club to attend her sister's Bachelorette Party and immediately I could empathize with the agony Penny was preparing to endure. We immediately understand who Penny is and have a sense of the trauma's she has faced. I love her snarkiness, she could be your BFF. From here the ride gets crazier as she crosses paths with Xander inside the club. The other thing I LOVE about Ava Claire stories, she gives us both points of view so we immediately get inside Xander's head when he sees Penny. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. In this book we meet Penny and Xander.
Penny is the plain sister in her option she feels she can never measure up to the rest of her family but is constantly trying. For her sister Victoria's bachlorette party she wants to go to this club. While there Penny who wishes she was anywhere else sees this stunning man across the room and can't take her eyes off of him.
Xander gets an instant jolt when he first lays eyes on Penny but is one of those love'em and leave'em kind of guys so he can't understand his these intense feeling he has for her. As time goes on the attraction that they feel for one another just keeps growing and neither is sure what to do about it. Outside forces don't believe that either of them should be together.
This is just the first part in this story. So it does end on a cliffhanger. It is an amazing beginning to this story.

I am completely addicted to this author and her amazing series. This is the first book in the Falling For You series and I can't wait to read more.

You ever have a moment where eyes meet across a room & you feel a deep instant connection? Well that's what happens for Penny & Zander. Sparks fly, the heavens part & all there dreams come true right?.... wrong! It's never that easy the as crazy attracted to each other but of course before the act on that a bargain is struck that will benefit both of them.......she gets a date to her sisters wedding so she won't look like the odd girl out & he gets a fake girlfriend to appease his dying father so he won't lose his company......a win-win right?.....wrong again.one of the stipulations is NO SEX which made sense at the time but they are both finding it is so hard to stick too. I love this book & can't wait to see how this plays out!!

This book a great start to Ava Claire's new series. Penny and Xander met in an unusual place I wasn't sure how to feel. I was happy that they left and went somewhere else. But for them it was love at first sight my favorite types of stories. I like the fact that the both can help each other get what they want. Not want to fall in love at first but as time passes the feelings start to grow. Looking forward to the next book I can't wait to read what happens next. I love Penny and Xander as a couple their chemistry is just so steamy.

I love Ava's books. They grab you and have you wanting more. In fact, that's my biggest complaint, I want more!! I love Penny and Xander and can't wait to find out what happens with their relationship. I like that Penny is such a caring and down to earth character. I hope she will be able to tame Xander and be the woman to make him more caring and less ruthless business man. Can't wait to read the next two installments.

Well this book had me starting with a smile but then all these wacko things happen... Kind of upsetting but then you turn the page and you're back in dreamyville again. I did enjoy reading this latest series from Ava, her style of writing is a favourite of mine. Although this volume ended at captain obvious it still has me wondering if Victoria will share some forbidden truth... Guess I won't find out for a couple of weeks bit I'm intrigued. Pick this up today so you can join in the fun!! :)
