Definitely deceived

This book was a great read. Stony was a very interesting man. He's good at what he does. I won't giveaway the story, but I will say that this is not your typical cheating story. Living a double life ain't no joke. I am hoping that Stony gets his in part 2.

Deceived: One Man, Two Lives is the debut novel by Sydni Anderson. As the description says this book is not the typical “he done me wrong story”, and I don’t want to give away anything in the book, but it a great plot twist. I have said before that I have not read a lot of the urban genre, but what I loved about this book is that there wasn’t a lot of Ebonics used. The language seemed to flow naturally and was in-line with the characters described. I find it offensive when reading a book that is supposed to be about intelligent black people and they all sound like they never went to high school. Another thing that I found useful is the clear delineation of who is talking in the beginning of the chapters. I didn’t have to guess who was speaking. The author also does a great job of making likable characters and revealing bits and pieces that make them who they are. I hope that she expands on this in the next book. I do have to say that there are a few editing mistakes that I am sure that she can revise, but the story still progressed naturally and the mistakes didn’t drive me too crazy. Overall, I found this book very hot and the surprise ending makes me want to read more.

Deceived: One Man Two Lives by Sydni Anderson is full of urban drama, romance, and betrayal. One man is secretly living two separate lives with two women who are completely clueless of the situation...however, both knew each other from college. It has gotten to the point that both women suspect that their man is cheating...and one night's events will almost blow his cover and set the ball rolling for his destruction. One woman was making her way to the top of her career when she had met her husband. They have a daughter but she wants more...she wants back in her job field. She thought her husband cheated on her and when she went to discover the truth...she ended up arrested. Addi has met a new man who heats her from outside and within...but she doesn't want to cheat on her husband. Then there's Adri who is also with Addi's husband. She thinks their man has cheated but she settled for his lies that he's not. But as the juicy intense plot unfolds...can one man hold his two lives together or risk losing both? Addi is at a crossroads in her life and her best friend has hooked up with the hot policeman that arrested Addi. Where fate has taken these characters is left for readers to discover on their own. I loved reading this title from Sydni Anderson. Her characters are believable and the scenes are smoking hot. Overall, I highly recommend this tale to readers everywhere.

I was completely shocked to learn that this is Author Sydni's first book, I just knew she was a seasoned author. This story was mind blowing, the dialogue, the characters were believable and relatable. What I loved the most, was her ability to change the point of views throughout the story and how everything just flowed perfectly.

I was hooked with the first chapter...talk about drama, lies and deceit. I'm going to recommend this book to all of my friends. I can't wait for her next to find out what happens to everyone. She has become one of my favorite authors.

This book was hard to put down! Good short read. Stoney is the ultimate deceiver! I'm glad Addison had her eyes opened...Darius seems to be a good guy & I hope Yolo can tame his brother, Donovan. Great drama has me looking forward to reading more of this series

Love it

I love this story. I will never understand how people can live a double life. Well in his case a triple life. I can't wait for part two of this story.

Liar

I don't like Stoney at all. He knew he was a botty bandit since he was in college. I hope Addison don't get nothing from him. I hope she gives Darius a chance
