My first Indian Romance.

I definitely did not like the majority of the characters in this novel, but it’s probably a cultural thing.
No raunchy stuff.
It ended well.

Vihaan

Manisha

It’s the morning of Vihaan’s wedding to Rhea. The only thing he knows about her and cares to know is her family’s financial statement. Everything in his life has to be in order in its place. This marriage is literally just a business deal.

Rhea leaves a letter than she ran. They force her orphan cousin Manisha to be the substitute bride. Manisha loves learning and wanted a career. However she agrees to save the deal. Walking down the aisle she hears people comparing her to Rhea. After the wedding Vihaan tells her she will receive the respect of his name but she will always just be a replacement. He even defends her when her aunt is cruel. She hopes it signals
a change. He’s quick to tell her it’s only because her rudeness looks bad on his family.

She tries to make him food and he point blank refuses to eat it. They are in a car accident and she pulls him to safety resulting in scars. He realizes he’s been wrong in his actions.

A couple continuity issues. Rhea and her aunt confront her and say horrible things at different times. He wasn’t around but he remembers them when feeling guilty.
