About the author

Ella grew up in a small Northern California town, much like the one in the Natalie Miller Mysteries. As a young child she used to hide in her closet to escape the adult chaos that surrounded her. It was in that closet where she began creating worlds of wonder. As a teen in the glorious 90's, she was a vivacious reader and spent more time at the library than anywhere else (she also devoted a few of those teen years to following Pearl Jam around the country!). As an adult she worked various jobs such as, a cashier (almost fired), telephone psychic (fired), telemarketer (fired), eligibility worker (not fired, but so close), freelance writer/reporter, library assistant and way too many more to list!

To date, Ella has written three books-Killing America's Sweetheart and Killing the Fitness Queen are both books in a series based on the Natalie Miller Paranormal Mysteries. These books follow a bumbling psychic and her group of eccentric friends, as she struggles to solve outrageous murders, all while mixing in a little romance! Her third book Life, is a contemporary fiction novel that follows a troubled woman over the course of thirty years. It's a gritty, tragic and at times humorous story that keeps you on your toes.

Today Ella still resides in Northern California, but now she has a husband, three dogs and a son, who may or may not be a rival for Damien from The Omen! Oh, and she is still a card carrying patron for her local library!

I'm in the middle of this one and it's different than the author's other two books. This one is darker, and a bit more adult? I like it though. It's the story of a young woman who's life is kind of a mess. It talks about her childhood and all the mistakes that her parents made....I'll update more when I'm done:)

Read this one and liked it. It's not as peppy as her other books, but still worth a read.
