The Golden Thimble 1692 & 1986: The Witches of Gloucester Series Book 2

by Melissa Shubha Abbott

Book "The Golden Thimble, 1692, $1986":Connects the Gloucester, Massachusetts Psychic Community’s Sacred Studies Group in the 1980s. We travel back in time to witness the horror and confusion women faced during the witch trials of 1692. We learn of secrets kept for centuries, the cost of just living as you are and fighting to survive, being wrongly accused and traumatized, and allowing your voice to be heard. Just months after the Salem Witch Trials, fisherman Ebenezer Babson reported ghostly invaders attacking his Cape Ann home and surroundings. For two weeks in July 1692, Babson and others saw spectral figures in white cloaks firing muskets (bullets bounced off), waving sticks, and vanishing into thin air. Militia chased them into swamps but found only footprints that stopped abruptly. Theories? French-Canadian raiders in disguise, mass hysteria from witch panic, or real apparitions. Cotton Mather documented it as "daemonic" warfare. Gloucester locals still call the site "Specter Leaguer Swamp." The 1980's psychic community came across the Gloucester women who were accused of causing this spectral situation and also of causing sickness to neighbors. In 1692, they were shackled and taken to the Ipswich Jail. The 1980's group, in thier investigation of local portals and energy spots, while working with Akashic record reading with a local ghost hunter and psychic, works to heal them. Some of the members of this Sacred Studies group are actual descendants of those accused and connect to them through an inherited Gold Thimble. Psychometry is used to access ancestor information, and later, Akashic reading. This is a story of not only history but of spiritual evolution, healing the patterns of the past. If you are interested in local New England witch history, ghost hunting, akashic record reading, natural portals, psychic development, awareness, and psychic connections to the past, then you will enjoy this book.
