About the author

During a night of erotic fun, Robin-the-vampire 'chips' her tooth on Alana-the-former-djin. Vampire teeth are supposed to be basically unbreakable (Alana retains some djin power, which includes something like a shield, which is like a laser). So Robin's kind of in a unique situation here - how does she fix her quite painfully throbbing tooth?

After some search, Robin is directed to a 'Shelby', the 'weirdo' coyote shifter (and a psychiatrist with knowledge of medical community). Shelby leads Robin to a dentist capable (as in not horrifying afraid) to deal with 'unusual patients'.

Interesting story. Nice vibe. I liked it. Wish it was longer. Want more time with Shelby and Perez-the-dentist.

This is just a fun little bonus story that takes place six months after "Good Enough to Eat".

The story starts out as erotic and then moves into comedy which was done really well. Robin chips one of her fangs but what is she to do? It's not like there's a wealth of vampire dentists in the world...or any at all.

Where she ultimately goes to get her fang fixed is a delightful scene where we meet a pretty extraordinary dentist.

Jae manages to capture the anxiety of a dental visit spot on and her ability to write nuance into a story really makes this one come to life.

Definitely recommend.

A fun short story, set six months after the end of Good Enough to Eat. Vampire fangs don't get damaged. So how the heck would Robin explain needing a fang fixed after a night of passion? And more importantly - where can she find a dentist willing to do it??

Six months after the events in Good Enough to Eat, Robin has been disowned by her clan, but her relationship with her girlfriend, Alana, continues to be strong and passionate. After a night of lovemaking, all is well - except for a chipped fang. Alana’s powers as an ex-djinn can’t heal it - but what kind of dentist would work with a vampire?

This is a fluffy short story with a lot of humor. I enjoyed having a taste, so to speak, of Robin and Alana’s relationship without the angst of the first novel.

I read this one simultaneously with the Shape Shifter sequels and I was sooo happy to find out more about Nyla's Grandmother!!

That was such a fun crossover, I love it when authors write crossovers like little easter eggs.

Also, there was one scene in 'Second Nature' (I think) where they are discussing magical creatures and someone says: "Vampires aren't real." and in this short story we hear from Shelby, that she is the only Wrasa knowing about Vampires.

as you start the book you expect the same energy you received while reading the previous book on the same storyline by the same author but this book don't do that much justice with expectations. its a light read for the readers who previously loved its predecessor book "good enough to eat"

I recently gave one star to two very short pieces of fluff - they bored the hell outta me and were essentially the same story twice told. So I wasn't expecting much from 'Coitus Interruptus Dentalis' particularly as it involves a visit to the dentist (for me the seventh circle of Hell!).
Vampire Robin breaks a fang during the throes of orgasm - only problem is that there are no vampire dentists. When a substitute is found Robin behaves just like I do in the chair ...
It's good fun - I liked it!

I had never thought about a vampire needing to go to the dentist. But this ccomedic novella tackled that. And Jae even brought in a very famous mythical being that takes teeth and leaves money behind! (I’ll leave it at that, as I’m sure you know who I’m talking about.). A well written novella. Now I’m just waiting fir the sequel!

4 stars. Robin cracks one of her fangs during sex and the adventure gets wackier from there. This was funny and a lot of fun to read. I love these characters and the ending had me cracking up at the reveal of the dentist that worked on Robin’s fang being the damn tooth fairy!. Such an entertaining little story and I loved it.

What a fun short story. You definitely want to read "good enough to eat" before you read this to really appreciate what is going on. Um, who makes a dentist visit into a short story? I cringed just thinking about it, but since Jae wrote, I wanted to see this short story too. It was a fun read with a cameo from Jae's shape shifter series. There isn't a ton of spice, but there's a bit of comedy..

Good little story

I read the first book in the series and saw this so thought I would give it a read. For a bit of context I and a dental nurse so was curious about how accurate this would be. Was surprised by the level of detail she went into for the procedure, it was fairly accurate based on what was described.

Enjoyable, factual as far as dentistry facts of the practice. Do not go for the vampire character, too unrealistic even for a work of fiction. But it was a quick read just like going to the dentist and wishing it were over with.

This is funny and so cute. I like the idea of vampire-Robin having to go to the dentist due to an accident in the bedroom with Alana. Not to mention she does not like the idea of it at all, just like most mortals.
