Carnival of Crows: A Halloween Romance Novella

Rate this book
Welcome to Graves Park.

Every October, the abandoned amusement park comes back to life.

Behind rusted gates and beneath black-and-white circus tents, Graves Park offers haunted attractions, eerie midway games, and enough Halloween magic to make anyone believe monsters just might be real.

When horror content creator Luci Addams is invited to experience the park’s exclusive VIP black out night, she expects screams, jump scares, and a night of unforgettable content with her best friends.

What she doesn’t expect is Damien Graves.

As the enigmatic ringmaster and heir to the park’s haunting legacy, Damien has spent years keeping visitors captivated from behind the spotlight. Falling for a guest was never part of the act... especially one whose love for all things spooky might just rival his own.

Between whispered fortunes, a friendly murder...of crows, moonlit midway games, and a haunted amusement park that seems determined to play matchmaker, one unforgettable October night turns into something neither of them saw coming.

Carnival of Crows is perfect for readers who wish Halloween lasted all year and believe a little October magic can change everything.

I searched on Kindle “Halloween novella” and this popped up. 🎃 3 stars for this little 90-something page novella feels right. This was quick, featured a carnival which I love and wasn’t overrun with spice. 🎡 I turned on carnival ambiance on YouTube as well for maximum vibes! It’s not a dark romance, so if you don’t like that genre, you are in the clear with this book. I honestly think this could have even been 50-100 pages longer to really flesh out the insta-love trope and I would have eaten it up!

If you love all things spooky season, Carnival of Crows by Dani Lagasse is such a fun, atmospheric Halloween romance! Going into this, I wasn't sure what to expect , but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it isn't terrifying or pitch-black—it's pure, addicting fun with top-tier spooky vibes.
.
Halloween romance l instant chemistry lsmall-town homecoming l spooky aesthetics l grumpy/brooding hero.
.
Luci is a horror influencer who travels the country reviewing haunted houses, horror books, movies, and creepy destinations. Her latest assignment brings her back home to Graves Park—a former family amusement park transformed by the original owners' grandchildren into a massive, immersive haunting operation. Luci totally fits the aesthetic with her orange-streaked hair and black nails, ready to explore every corner of the park.
.
Dressed as the park's Ringmaster, Damien commands attention the moment he steps on page. He brings this mysterious, brooding "big daddy" energy that toes the line of being dark and intense without ever actually being scary. He's possessive, commanding, and totally wrapped around Luci's finger fast..
.
Since I don't get to experience Halloween in my country, getting lost in this book was an absolute treat! The author brings the haunt to life with vivid details—from the twisted attractions to how a once-wholesome playground transformed into something wonderfully spooky.
.
Damien is initially skeptical of influencers, but Luci instantly subverts his expectations. Their instant attraction and mutual obsession with all things haunted create such a fun, magnetic spark. Watching them sneak around the haunted grounds of Graves Park adds a deliciously dark, romantic charm to the whole story.

.
Carnival of Crows delivers the perfect blend of small-town homecoming, Halloween aesthetics, and a brooding, charismatic hero. If you're looking for a lighthearted yet atmospheric rom-com to get you in the October spirit, definitely add this to your TBR!

Black crow's

Luci loves the macabre, Internet sensation for her reviews of everything related to horror, visiting the local once upon a time carnival, now it's operating by the grandkids of the original owners and only during October, Damien as the ringmaster along with his family and friends bring thrills and chills to the masses, Luci and her friends for opening night as VIP's, instant magical attraction when they lock eyes, fascination with the black crow's Luci can't help herself, feeding the birds has the parks guests stunned silent watching, I love the idea of this park/carnival, it would be AMAZING to visit, I can't wait for more, thank you for a exciting carousel ride, Dana Zamora

You are about to step into a world where what you see is never what it is. There is mystery and romance and a carnival that heightens all your senses.

When Luci spends an evening with her friends at the local Carnival, where she is treated to VIP status, she never would have imagined where it would lead her.
The Ringmaster watches her the entire night, after their introduction, fascinated by the one thing that would take his mind of the Carnival.

Carnival of Crows is a dark and lovely Novella that introduces you so wonder characters that like a dash of the macabre. It’s takes to where being strange and unusual is celebrated.

Welcome back Dani LaGasse!!!

When Luci’s love of anything scary turns into her being an influencer she’s invited to the one time defunct Carnival turned into 31 Nights of Blackout.

Damien, the Ringmaster, is taken with her at first glance.

Damien and his cousins have taken back their Grandparents Carnival that’s sat vacant for years. They set it up as a Scary Carnival. Luci was invited with her friends as VIP guests.

I don’t want to say more because I don’t want to give spoilers. It’s a touch of scary, a touch of sweet. It’s exactly what I needed to get into the Fall season.

Great Halloween novella

Luci loved all things Halloween and the macabre. She travels across New England going to all the carnivals and fairs. She goes to a carnival that is now being run by children of the previous owners and Damien is the ringleader. This was a great Halloween romance novella with good spice.

This was such a cute story! I love how Lucy loves the spooky scenes but doesn’t want or expect the influencer vibe. And Damien tried so hard to keep up with appearances. I wish this was longer than a novella!

This book NEEDS to be a series. I can imagine the whole thing.

My only complaint…it wasn’t long enough because I did not want it to end.

Welcome back Dani!!!!
