In Ghost Town, Chanel Smith's sixth installment in the series, Monty and Ellen find themselves running from one job to the next, despite feeling worn out from their last adventure in London. A combination of perpetually lost luggage and a week of intense questioning by Scotland Yard over the disappearance of Dr. Wandsworth left Ellen feeling drained and Monty a bit daunted; but once again their reputation precedes them. A resounding recommendation leads a flustered New Orleans businessman to make the Drews an offer that's too good to refuse. It's plain to see that the new owner and operator of La Madame LaRue, Jean LaBeaux, is desperate to have their help.
Almost immediately upon their arrival, the presence of supernatural entities in the historic New Orleans mansion becomes as real as the swamp that surrounds the property. It is evident that the La Madame LaRue is as haunted as they come.
As the rich and twisted history of the house and the family that built it unravels, Ellen and Monty are confronted by some of the most explosive spirit activity they've ever encountered. But if they are to solve their client’s problem and enable him to save his new business venture, they must settle into the case quickly, get to the root of the disturbance and put the unruly entity at ease.
With the help of knowledgeable locals like Henry and Prince John, the two soon get to the bottom of the Bordeaux family mystery, but will they be able to convince the ghostly ancestors inhabiting the mansion that the grievances of the past are worth letting go?
GHOST TOWN is a ghost-packed paranormal investigation with spirited thrills, spine-tingling paranormal interaction, and humorous moments.
Ghost Town by Chanel Smith is a good book in the series. The husband and wife team are dealing with gators and snakes, and a sad ghost looking for his wife. With the help of a voodoo practitioner, they have quite a task ahead of them.

A private jet to pick them up and to New Orleans, case of getting rid of spirits before Saturday. A wealthy client has a lavish dinner planned. Mondy reading up on voodoo, that’s what client think is the problem. The mansion is a combination of a restaurant and event center they tried to open, but got violence and destructions from the ghost. His level of anger is causing Monty meter to go off the charts it is so strong. We certainly think of ghost, voodoo and spirts when we think of New Orleans. As do the guest who come to restaurant, the flying objects, that is little too much. Good light hearted reading to enjoy.
The Drews are back home when they get a call to come to New Orleans because a ghost is frightening people a a beautiful mansion turn restaurant. Can Monty and Ellen help this bayou ghost find peace? Great story.
Loved this book a sweet story of true love that continues just as strong even after death. Archie had a love that kept him going for hundreds of years searching for his beloved, and also showed the strength of Monty and Ellen's love in present day and how their connection of love saved the day.
