Respected broadcaster Alan Cross narrates the definitive history of alternative rock over the last 30 years. He recounts the stories of David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, The Clash, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, and Iggy Pop.
I love Alan Cross, so I am probably fairly bias. I found the audiobook series really interesting! I play it in my car for long road trips. The only thing I wish was included on the disc are songs by the artists he discusses (like he plays on the Ongoing History of New Music radio series).
Audiobook is the only way to consume the book it's like that couple of months when you could listen to full ongoing history of new music episodes on its website (sans the music obviously)
